Something that's been bugging me all day. It was a clear penalty at the end but I'm pretty sure Collum allowed play to continue. Surely aberdeen got the advantage as cosgrove got a free shot from 8 yards out. The fact he is a donkey and hit the bar doesn't change that. How can you then go back and blow for a penalty? They got their advantage and fluffed it. Does advantage in that instance only count when you score?

No excuses; but, have you ever seen a Celtic match where there wasn't issues involving Gollum?

Since they wrote to the SFA 2 years ago to complain about Wullie,
He was been a referee in 12 Celtic games and only 6 of their games.
In those 12 Celtic games, we have conceded 6 penalties and he has sent off 3 Celtic players.
Celtic have received 2 penalties and the only time he sent off an opponent was when Celtic were leading 5-0.
In the 6 games he’s been referee in their games,
Their opponents have finished with 10 men in 50% of the games.
They have only received one penalty and conceded 2 penalties.
But Why have Celtic got Wullie double the games when he is so unpredictable.

26 Oct 2020 08:12:16
Let be fair buzz all were pens yesterday. And u say that but if that's the case why did he not send off McGregor yesterday so. He was fouling all over the place and gave away the pen in the last min. I hear what u r saying but it was due to shocking defending by us we drew not him. Beside most refs in Scotland are not great.

26 Oct 2020 08:13:57
Good morning Buzz you will remember they complained about about Collum And he never got one of their games for six months and was he not supposed to be In charge of their game yesterday only to be changed and our original ref for yesterday Nick Walsh went to ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2020 08:16:54
Tbh there was a blatant push on Cosgrove right in front of ref in lead up to Griffiths goal, and I felt all 3 penalty decisions were penalties.
Iv said it for a while I genuinely don’t believe the Refs are biased I just think they are not of a good enough standard and should be professional full time referees.
Made to work 40 hour week with 20 hours fitness and 15 hours reviewing their performances and the performances of their peers with 2 matches reffed each week to keep them sharp.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2020 08:32:41
How is a shot from 8 yards not an advantage? Is it only an advantage if you score?

26 Oct 2020 08:33:23
No excuses though just interested.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2020 09:04:16
Collum was spot on to pull it back and award the penalty. I think some on here need to learn the rules before posting on here and embarrassing themselves👍.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2020 09:40:30
I disagree with Lennon blaming Collum yesterday because he had a good game.
But why are we getting Collum In double the games?
In 12 games we have conceded 6 penalties and he’s sent off 3 Celtic players.
To put that into perspective, they have only conceded one penalty in over a year.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2020 10:46:59
Guys come on if trying to apportion blame on Collum then I'm disappointed. They were clear penalties and he correctly played advantage and then correctly gave penalty when advantage wasn't taken. We can see Lenny starting to lose the plot with his statements please do not join him and retain yer sanity or this league cld be over soon.

Didn't see the game today but any positives? Even the fact the team came back from a goal down twice to lead?

The league has been my main focus this year so Thursday doesn't really matter to me.
Barkas, ajer, Welsh, Duffy, Taylor, soro, laxalt, turnbull, mcgregor, Christie, Griffiths. 4141
Id go with that. Agian its changing up the midfield but ntcham has been anonymous this season, brown probably needed for the weekend and never going to know what turnbull and soro can do if they don't get a game. Christie has been frustrating this year but his energy on the right could be good until forest come back. Gives Griffiths more time to get 'match fit' regardless of scoreline rogic, klimala and ayeti on second half for more minutes for fitness.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Oct 2020 00:59:02
We did play better than we have done recently and done well to come back from being behind twice. NL appeared to be listening to criticism and changed both formation and personnel. Griffiths looking sharp.

So many more negatives though. Lack of chances created in the 1st half. Big players not showing up again - Frimpong, McGregor, Elyounoussi, Rogic and Ajeti. Ntcham being a waste of a shirt as per. Duffy being a donkey yet again. The failure to shut up shop and hold onto the lead.

Our standards have dropped however Aberdeen are a decent side though we had a phenomal record of winning the last 8 games there before today.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Oct 2020 08:17:01
Without doubt we are getting worse game by game. The defending in non existent, the mid field is hit and miss as it up front. We have struggled against side like st mirren which saids it all. As a whole we have been very poor.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2020 08:55:09
The obvious fact is that we have not improved enough in the last three seasons. Whether it be a staleness in players here too long, a failure to replace real quality with the same (or better) and other teams slowly improving; learning how to nullify or beat us.
The current situation has been compounded by destructive internal issues going public, bad man-management, fitness issues, with players unable to reach expected standards to last 90 minutes - 4 months into the season; injuries, plus the direct (and indirect) effects of CV on the players and the absence of supporters.
We now have a beleaguered manager, players lacking effort, poor attitudes and team spirit, with rumours (fake news or not) surfacing every day about bust-ups and brawls.
All of the above reflects what we see on the pitch unfortunately.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2020 11:28:51
With the players we have we should be destroying teams in Scotland and that includes Sevco. We have a team full of internationals and one of the emerging talents of French football who scores for fun at under 21's. The truth is we don't have a system that suits these players and organisation seems to be non existing. Recently we've came up against teams who have dumped us out the CL who don't have the resources we have or play in leagues any stronger than the SPL but they play with a game plan, have a system they stick to and have tactics designed to beat us, we seem to think we only have to turn up to win. Its time we realised we are not the MON team and that we need the attributes like Cluj etc if we want to succeed.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 20:02:28
So is a coincidence or just bad luck that almost all our midfielders (and others) have been off it the past few months? Seems to me that motivation and instruction is the problem cos these guys wouldn't become bad players overnight!

We need a new coaching team who can come in and motivate this group and give them clear instructions. We're nowhere near finished but need to do something sooner rather than later.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Oct 2020 21:02:19
Every midfield combination we have tried has lacked balance, creativity and especially ball winning and tackling
Today for example two midfield players conceded both penalties; probably because the defense is also in disarray mind you?
Ntcham gets most of the blame and rightly so, but the others have had their fair share of faults as well and although most are very experienced players, they are obviously lacking motivation, attitude and organisation; so possibly the problem is poor coaching or no confidence in the coaching and tactics set out?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2020 01:01:42
They've all been poor at times but none more so the Ntcham who is consistently pish.

Hello my friends Enrico is a bit taken back at the moment with recent results.

The game against the team from the other side of the city was torturous and very frustrating to watch. Unfortunately with various players missing we were up against it and some other players not fully fit and firing on all cylinders. I do think there has a been a lot of paper talk melting peoples brains. Today the team played better in the second half and started knocking the ball about and took the goals well. It was tragic to lose a third goal at the end but it can happen.

We will soon be back at full strength and Enrico feels we are one good result away from clicking and returning to better form.

Calls for Lenny not being the man bla bla bla. Is stupid. A good result in the europa this week will set us back up nicely then by beating the dons next week we are one game away from a 4th clean sweep of silverware.

Other comments about the new additions not being up to it are ridiculous Ajeti Turnbull, Duffy, Elyounoussi don't become bad players over night! Again my friends these players are cracking players and it will soon turn and we will be back on top. I would much rather we had a rough patch now rather than the other end of the season.

If Celtic had got a hold of the blue side before lockdown started we would have destroyed them and we all and they know it.

Please my friends get and stay behind the manager and team.

Well said Enrico. It is time for all Celts to stand up and be counted in support of our manager, players and club.

Agreed Ed. I didn't watch the match on Thursday because I had better things to be doing. The league is all that matters to me this season, possibly last seasons Scottish Cup because there's only 2 games left.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The overreaction to Thursday's game was verging on the embarrassing. We put in a decent performance against the form team in Italy who are sitting top of Serie A, at 2-1 we were pushing them back and it was one of those games where we were going to score or concede, sadly it was the second.
Supporters need to calm down a bit and stop judging players on their last touch and looking for problems where there aren't any, suddenly Damien Duff was some sort of Mourinho in the making and Gavin Strachan's not got a clue.
Oh and Dermot Desmond phoned Lawwell and Lennon last week - shockarooney!}

26 Oct 2020 01:04:36
I don't care about the Europa but equally getting battered will do nothing for the morale of the squad which looks to be low already. Pick up a good result though and it could have the opposite effect.

25 Oct 2020 19:16:58
We should be playing 4-5-1 just now end of chat, we have to stop this rot of losing goals

I think we can be solid on the left with Taylor and Laxalt, on the right though we have problems. We don't have a RB until Hamed is back so I would probably go with Welsh at RB and Moi ahead of him with Duffy and Ajer in the Centre.

I'd go with a mid3 of Christie, Turnbull and Calmac and most probably LG up top as he will work his socks off
We need to try stop this rot of losing so many goals.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

25 Oct 2020 20:56:30
We getting skelped right left and centre and you want to play Welsh at RB and MOI on the right ahead of him😂😂😂😂😂😂.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Skelped left right and centre? I don't know about that.}

25 Oct 2020 21:40:49
At the min the defence looks all over the place. Laxalt has been the best and he has only played 3 games. Frimpong as had been mentioned can't defend and it was shown up again today. To change that to moi and Welsh on the right side is not the answer. The holding field look like rabbits in headlight giving little or no help to the defence and as an Irish man myself Christ Duffy is so bad l am surprised they have not taken him off and brought on no one! The defending from the team as a whole is just brutal with no end in sight. To score 3 away from home and not win the game said it all.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 23:04:25
Malkybhoy so you prefer to continue with a player who primarily plays wide left for us to continue playing there even although he can't hit the byline and get crosses in with his left foot, would this kind of player not be better suited to playing on the right?

If I had to ask you who is the better defender Frimpong or Welsh, what would you say?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2020 01:07:03
Until the full defence is available we should play Ajer at RB and Welsh in the middle with Duffy. I'd have it back to Ajer and Jullien though when he's back with Elhamed at RB.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2020 09:19:25

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2020 12:39:38
Ajer at RB, Welsh in the middle and Frimpong on the right far more balanced and sensible than playing MOI who is dug meat out of position and a young boy who has played 3 times for us out of position😂😂.

25 Oct 2020 18:49:42
A lot has been made of keeper and centre halfs this season and rightly so its been nowhere near good enough but the ball is arriving at our end of the pitch with minimum fuss and is far to easy for teams to play through us its not even lumped up the park the feeble attempts to win the ball high up the park from the christies and mois is a shambles to watch then on to mcgregor who has got a free ride this season him and ntcham and a load of others trying to win the ball back is also feeble. we are far to soft and its no wonder we are losing so many goals.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

25 Oct 2020 19:06:27
All our centre mids have been off the pace this season. Brown looks done as a regular starter. McGregor not near last years performances - I wonder if he was one of them that wanted away? Christie again not as good as last season. Ntcham is just an imposter. Would do no harm to give Turnbull a run of games.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
It looks as if what was believed to be one of our better windows is turning out to be quite the opposite. If you knew then what you know now it probably would be so different.
Barkas, no
Duffy, no
Moi, no
Laxalt, no
Ajeti, no
Turnbull, no
Controversial I know. but the new players at this moment in time are offering absolutely nothing.
Yes its early and they might come good but am not convinced by any of them.
Add in soro and Klimala and it could be argued the last 2 windows have been a disaster.
Letting simo and Hayes go might also turn out to be the wrong decision.
As I say Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

25 Oct 2020 18:27:10
How can you say no to Turnbull the boys a cracking young player he just isn't getting the minutes. Laxalt has been one of our best players the past 3 games. Moi isn't a natural LW and Ajeti is lacking match fitness and seems better suited with someone up top with him.

Agree2 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 18:28:15
Turnbull hasn’t had a chance and Laxalt has been very good.

Agree2 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 18:32:00
Surely Laxalt been decent and Turnbull for some reason not given opportunity.

Agree3 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 18:36:57
Think Laxalt looks a class act but ironically it keeps Taylor out the team and I actually thought he was better than some of the underperformers Why Turnbull and Soro can't get a start is anyone's guess, but they must be better than the dross Ntcham has been churning out?
I know it looks pretty bleak regarding the above list, but it's much easier to slot into a contented, confident side and not a divided and unsettled camp where fingers are pointing with splits in the ranks and apparent bad feeling between management and players?

Agree3 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 18:39:33
Harsh on Laxalt ajeti and especially turnbull John. laxalt is just in the door and has shown up well, ajetis goals per minute ratio is good but needs a good run. and turnbull for some reason can’t seem to get into a midfield that ntcham who again was garbage today can! Moi and Duffy have been a major disappointment for me.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 18:40:33
Laxalt and Moi are ballers; we just need to give them a go. Turnbull too, I reckon. But these sorts of results are just how rangers lost the league last year. I. E. We're losing the league right now.

Agree2 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 18:51:08
Jungle John, that's a ridiculous post!
Barkas in fairness has looked poor recently but it's far too early to write him off.
Laxalt has played what 3 games and I thought had played well but is written off by you?
Ajeti was banging in the goals before a slight injury and is probably not 100% fit, although his work rate today was very questionable. He'll be a decent signing.
Turnbull is one player most fans want to see get a run in the team but you've written him off already wtf?
What about Elyounoussi? He was a 16m player I was delighted to see sign up agin yet he's been rank rotten lately.
Ntcham was rated over 10 million a couple of month back but has lacked effort lately?
Eddy valued at 30m but again had been terrible lately?
Why do you think so many players are under preforming at the moment?
I think there is a lack of leadership and I feel if we get another manger in place before we fall too far behind we will romp the league with the pool of players we have.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 18:57:28
Not sure how u think laxalt and Turnbull are no. Turnbull has had no mins and laxalt has been one of our best players in the last few games. The guy only played 3 games!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 18:54:36
Turnbull has become a better player by not playing. Just like frimpong couldn't be left out due to his efforts in training the same can't be said for Turnbull.
If you are all happy with the impact they giving to the team that's fine. but they haven't improved the 1st 11 and in duffys case has made it worse.

Ed007, what's your current view on Lennon's status as manager? Is he for the high jump? HH.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - I wouldn't think so, you can't blame the manager for giving away 2 silly penalties.}

well done ed that's a good measured answer i know your not his biggest fan.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Cheers, Liam.I'm not going to crucify Lennon for things that are out of his control. Individual player errors cost us the game today but I thought overall we played a lot better than we have done in recent games.}

25 Oct 2020 18:38:59
I don’t agree with Lennon blaming Collum today.
Off all the 3 penalties today I would say ours was the softest.
I was also surprised Collum never sent off Calmac.
I think it’s a sign the pressure is mounting.
I still think it’s too early to sack the manager but he does look very stressed and with his previous mental problems, it might be too much for him.

agree ed there's no way you can concede a shambles of a goal like that and 2 pens and expect a result.

Well said Ed.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - There was a the massive overreaction to the Milan defeat and Pittodrie's never an easy place to go, especially on the back of a Euro game. We're getting back to those times when players are being deemed good enough or not by their last touch of the ball. Over the past couple of months we've had Barkas, Julien, Ajer, Duffy, Taylor, Frimpong, Moi, Ajeti, Ntcham, Christie, LG, Brown, Frimpong, McGregor and Edouard - I've probably even missed some - all either not good enough, past it or don't want to be here, well if that's the case why are people calling for the manager's head and will a new manager make them all better players or wanting to stay?
It's time for the players themselves to up their game and prove they've got what it takes for the battle. For me Lennon has had the team set up well today and against Milan considering the players available and the performances have been better. Hopefully once we get all our players back we will find a settled XI with the options to change things on the bench.
Frimpong is really struggling just now (maybe down to too many games ) and his failure to get back and do his defensive duties is leaving Duffy - who is really struggling with confidence and in fitness/sharpness - exposed a lot which is causing all sorts of problems at the back. We're trying to bed in a new defence including GK which is never easy and losing players to injury and Covid isn't helping the continuity in games - and training - that a settled GK and back 3/4 brings.}

25 Oct 2020 19:13:21
Ed what’s your opinion on Ntcham?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He needs to find his best position - which I think is in the midfield 2 beside McGregor pulling the strings - and put in a lot more effort. The quality is there but his application and work rate leave a Hell of a lot to be desired.}

25 Oct 2020 19:25:37
You could be right buzz.

25 Oct 2020 21:30:05
I've said before that Ntcham is some player on his day. Unfortunately that day is the 29th February. I am getting frustrated that he Turnbull isn't starting.

We are going to turn this round very soon and give somebody a serious thumping. It will be a result that is going to kickstart this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 18:00:33
Sometimes change has to happen for the long term benefit of the club and today should be that day.

We have went backwards in our performances, players aren't all fully available but the remaining squad are more than capable of not only beating these teams but dominate them.

NL clearly isn't getting the best out of the lads and of this continues it could be a dreadful campaign, this is the campaign we have been waiting for.

If no action is taken im afraid the hierarchy need a shift also, as this is a clear issue needing resolved right now.

We have been lucky to amass the points we have this season with late goals and shocking performances so do us all a favour and get the change in now.

Eddie Howe for me, let him build the team up in his vision, we have to look at the future of the club not just this season.

No short term quick fix has been please.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

25 Oct 2020 19:37:32
The sad truth is that Rodgers was stellar and raised the game all round. We're miles off that now. What to do? For me its not about bluster, which NL has in spades. I love the man. But what I want is someone like Ronnie, who can implement the changed that are so definitely required. I'd also be happy with WGS altho' that was the worst football I recall. . He seems in every interview that he wants the gig.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's disappointing that the overall standards seem to have dropped, Cav especially when they feel that far we're at the point of questioning players fitness and recovery from injuries. Things like training and sports science should have been maintained at the very least to the standards of the previous 2 managers.}

Who is keeping Lenny in a job? Who ever it is should walk also I normally look forward to see us play now I don't I could have watched the game from the start today instead I went to the shops and caught the second half something I would never have done before from what I saw of the second half it looked like a fair result. So IMO we have dropped dramatically too the same level as Aberdeen.

He has but first was because he inherited a good team second he was lucky that Rangers imploded great result for the CL qualifying round one off game so play with no striker Cluj was another great result getting pumped off Rangers last three times in a row yes great manager.

We're going to get through this believe me. Hard decisions will have to be made regarding Duffy because he's all over the place, he looks like a juniors player right now and we laid out a 2 million loan fee on this guy. We need to get Griff back to full fitness too as a matter of urgency, he's still our best option up front. Gutted.

For me its a case of when and not if Lennon goes. As I said in an earlier post his main strength was seen to be motivation. 16 games in to 10 on a row season it's clear the players are not motivated by Lennon. If we lose midweek and then at the weekend it will be the final nail in the coffin.

He didn't hide the fact players wanted out. No one left after this. Clearly there was a division within the dressing room. Lawell made him retract that statement which was quite simply embarrassing.

Ajeti mid week arguing with Lennon when he was subbed. There is obvious tensions with him and Griffiths.

Shane Duffys face in the Sly interview when asked about tactics. He clearly doesn't believe in the 3 at the back Lennon was going for.

Players seem to be regressing - Cal Mac, Ntcham, Ajer, to name a few. I don't think they have become bad players over night, simply a product of poor coaching. Frimpong has stalled massively, young Dembele appears to be off at the end of the season. If we had a top class manager I don't think this would be the case.

Lennon has the demeanour of a broken man and its rubbing off on the players. I think Lennons interviews are beyond cringey now. He seems like he is trying to convince himself as much as others.

Players being missing is no excuse with the quality of the squad at his disposal.

Moving forward I think the team needs a manager who will install discipline.

My candidates would be O'Neill or Strachan until the end of the season. Hopefully they could galvanise the team and put us back on track.

Eddie Howe is an interesting option. If we had 6 weeks pre season for him to implement a playing style I'd be up for this but I am not sure he could come in and hit the ground running.

Other I would at least consider - Roy Keane, Marco Silva or Nigel Pearson.

I like the Eddie howe idea
But agree the timing is an issue

I quite like the nigel pearson idea but a lot of fans would dislike that as Pearson is a survivor and backs to the wall type manager .

I like the idea of Martinez and maloney . could you imagine

Martin o'Neill for be and or strachan to end of season

And then we go again

Or

Let's rally behind neil.

25 Oct 2020 17:23:11
Del Boy I agree with some of your points but u lost any credibility bringing up Roy Keane and Nigel Pearson! Uve got to be at the wind up! Keane MON Strachan and to a certain extent Lennon belong to a bygone era! And Pearson is just plain rubbish! We have some terrific players who are being badly coached! Most of that squad no nothing about the pressure of a close championship over here either, to many living on former glory! We need a massive shake up before it’s to late.

I knew the post would divide opinion but we need authority. Past lessons need to be learned with Mowbray and Deila, good philosophy but not necessarily had the full respect of the dressing room or had everyone pulling in the same direction.

Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane combo would work for me. There would be no chance of players not pulling their weight.

Pearson for me has always been a bit underrated down south, he played a big part of setting the foundations at Leicester before they won the league. He's no nonsense as well which I like.

Martinez would be up there with the appointment of Rodgers but I can't see him fancying it.

Ed

Trying ( trying) to be optimistic but I've now tipped over the edge

Let's get REAL here .

We wanted big Forster the colossus and he didn't want to come

Instead we get Barkas and all he has done is pick the ball out of the net since arriving. Jesus, he's had opportunities to impress ( game saving moments) but has contributed next to nothing .

With forest and el hamed out, we are really toiling over on the right side. With those 2 out, we still ( still ) persevered with the 3 5 2 with a 19 year old novice in a KEY position ( oh my days) . Frimpong, at the moment, with a full strength squad would be Lucky to make the bench never mind be our hope. That said, forest form pre injury was hopeless and we all remember el hamed against Ferencvaros ( culpable) . now we are turning him in to the new big hope ( a little desperate) , what is it they say about absence makes the heart grow stronger?

On the left we were relentless in our general adverse view of Taylor's qualities. We bring in laxalt to allow Taylor to be a defender ( not a wing back ) . We now have the uruguayan but we want to fit Moi in, a player that would NEVER have fitted in to the preferred 3 5 2 ( a formation we were screaming out for earlier in the season) why?

We wanted the no nonsense defender, a term used frequently by many because we felt Ajer and jullien were too soft ( both allegedly wanting out) . Duffy never featured in a back 3 but we force the issue in any event and make him play in a back 3, and now his nerves are shredded. and like el hamed. bitton is the new missing Bekenbauer all of a sudden ready to be drafted back in when over CV. no need apparently for a no nonsense defender!

The midfield 3? Take your pick from the anonymous soro, the talismanic Turnbull, the turgid brown, the maestro McGregor, ntcham the nonchalant, " greedy wantaway" Christie. the all but sold ( deal collapses) rarely available rogic, the new hope week ending 25th october

On the left we have the wing wizardry of mikey " injured" johnstone who is also quite partial to hogging the ball like Christie.
And then there is the 16m elyounussi who splits opinion as a maverick or a brilliant disappearing artist. Hot and cold doesn't cover it, but can't play in the preferred 3 5 2 unless as a ACM which he ain't!

Back on the right we have Frimpong who cannot ping in a decent cross and who cannot tackle a fish supper but in September was our brightest star and our talisman after a big impact in the demolition of . Riga ( a noteworthy scalp)

Up top we have eddy on a downer but lighting up France U21s pre C.V. but can't get a shot off for us . and then concerns over post C.V. recovery . and still no mew signed contract. Glakit Leigh Griffiths who opts not to train as a professional from March but picks up his 16k a week wages nonetheless who miraculously gets fit in 3 Weeks ( but not match fit) , now replacing wee Jeremy as the next big hope.

Oh and ajeti who was pursued for weeks and arrived well below match sharpness and general fitness. but polish paddy returned like the incredible hulk albeit with a goal return that is hardly terrifying. about to be chased away now that the attention has shifted from Taylor

This is a tumultuous season. History Bhoys, museums, new club shops, Adidas . pampering taken to new levels. AND THEN .

Ferencvaros
Squeezing past Riga
Last ditch win at tannadice
Last ditch win at mcdiarmid
Squeezing past sarajevo
Squeezing past LIVI 3 2 ( should have been 3 3 )
Zero shots on target versus them

We gave ourselves a free pass against milan ( how standards have dropped) to make ourselves feel slightly better, and thereafter we right off europe.

We at last, flip to a starting back 4 for the must win at pittodrie . and we concede 3

Is this self implosion?
Is it rotten luck?
Is there a crisis of confidence?
Are key players happy?
Are players hungry and motivated?
Is lenmon surviving minute by minute HOPING to get the breaks and build from there?
Is the coaching cohort good enough to drive standards higher?

Ed, you probably never got to the end but this must rank as one of the most confusing periods in the last decade . AND ALL HAPPENING WHEN WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPILY ARROWING IN ON 10

I think we would all agree, that this won't be easy for Neil. Lennon

I hope he gets a wee break soon.

The games I've watched so far this season the team has been poor, but lucky as the other team performing really poor, but the last few games the team has been really poor. I think it's time for a change, look at the time under Mowbray, we left it too late for a change, Lennon seems to have lost the dressing room and I'm unsure why this has happened.

Again today we were all over the place! No clear shape and players wondering what they are doing! Summed up perfectly by Duffy in the last 5 min being 1v1 twice in the space of a couple of minutes In the right back position, one of which led to a goal! Utterly shambolic defensively and so disjointed going forward! The manager has once again come out and totally contradicts himself and sends out mixed messages! This season is far from finished but how long do we give this? We’ve had 3 big games in the past week and not won any! We are away to Lille then play Aberdeen again next Sunday, do we go on like this if we don’t win them? So disillusioned right now honestly!

Having reflected after hearing Neils post match interview which was better than after the game against them the facts are he's not had his starting 11 and where we're struggling big time for centre halfs with Biton, El Hamed and Julien missing. Big Duffy has been poor but I'm just hoping he's getting up to speed with the pace of the game. The best centre half I've seen was big Elliot and was murder for the first dozen games. Why Ntcham started who knows.

I think we're also suffering the most with no fans at games and it might even be to the serial bottlers advantage not having theirs on their back. There was a lot of positives about the second half performances against Milan and again today.

For me NL has earned the right to my support and should be allowed to try for the 10. We're big time short of dig although I thought we showed a bit more in the second half. Big Duffy needs to start dishing it out he's been taking plenty.

It's time for the players to get the working gear on and hopefully our best 11 will be available sooner rather than later. Either way. win lose or draw.10 or no 10.no need for us to join in slaughtering the man. The abuse he's had since day one in this country is Scotland's shame without us joining in. Keep the Faith and God Bless the Celtic.

JFP your just looking for excuses. Lennon deserves to be sacked nevermind have your support. He deserves all the critisism he gets as he is the one who constantly chops and changes the starting 11, formation and plays players out of position. Big Jullien is just as dug meat as Ajer and Duffy.

Malky changing managers has it’s risks and not changing mangers has its risks. I’m well up for criticism particularly with regard to his team selection, chopping, changing and not making substitutions quickly enough when it’s evidently not working.

I get where you’re coming from and was feeling much the same today. As I said constructive criticism or discussions among ourselves is fine as is disagreeing. We all have the clubs best interests at heart.

But some of the personal stuff from so called Celtic supporters and airing our dirty washing on public forums should be left to the main stream Scottish media and the Laptop Loyal. The man is due a bit of respect from us st least Scotland has shown him none to it’s shame.

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 16:19:57
Lennon is clutching at straws if he believes Collum had a shocker. I thought he had a decent game and by decent I mean he got all the big decisions correct which is all we ask for as fans. Fifer made a point, he could've actually have sent McGregor off which would've been an even bigger problem for us albeit Mcgregors been well off the boil this season as have most of the team.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 16:34:51
JFP. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion. However I totally disagree. NL must go now, voluntarily or otherwise, if we have any chance whatsoever of saving 10 in a row.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 16:35:05
There was no bias or ulterior reasoning for his decisions. Slightly clumsy use of his assistants but at least he was using them. McGregor's fouls weren't necessary. They didn't put a mark on the opposition. They were just petty and I'll timed persistent fouls and he was lucky to stay on the park.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you jokers really that desperate that you’re blaming the poor performances your team is playing on there being no fans? Aw man this just gets better and better 😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 14:58:30
I’m not sure where to start from that today to be honest, it’s too easy to blame lennon, although the way they are performing for him it’s normally the manager who takes the fall. He put a team out today and a shape that everyone was on groups saying that’s what we should be doing and still the players perform like amateurs . I’m not sticking up for him but you can’t blame him for Duffy defending like he did for the second, the way wright walked past turnbull without even a challenge for the third and him not even breaking into a run to get back to make a challenge. If he’s lost the dressing room fair enough, but the Players need to take a good hard look at themselves as well. We are soft at the minute, teams don’t have to work hard to score against us which puts us more under pressure, especially as it gives teams the options to sit deep with everyone behind the ball. Where we really struggle to break down teams that play like that.

If we change the management, who could come in at short notice, that could coach us, give the players confidence again in a really short time where whoever comes in has no time to hit the ground running, as a few more points dropped could be the league over as the Sevconians are consistent this year.

I’d def say we don’t look as sharp or fit that we have previously, maybe standards have dropped . Also Howe didn’t last at Burnley, he got homesick for the south coast . If there are to be changes, there are massive decisions ahead, lawell will have to earn his wages with this decision.

Admire the optimism Buzz; but I struggled to find a Celt today that was as gutted as we were at the final whistle and we really need players that are 100% committed and fighting for their manager and the fans - whose absence is really exasperating.
Some of the play today was an improvement, with two exceptional goals, but defending has all-but evaporated and we need El-Hamed and Bitton back in there ASAP. Sadly Duffy seems a pig-in-a-poke?
A very basic instruction, before all Celtic games is don't give the official a decision to make (especially Gollum) and we did it TWICE to cancel out any good work up the other end.
Criminally naïve at any level, never mind 9-in-a-row champions.
Between the managers expression (or lack of) and the attitude of some of these players, we are in a very difficult situation and most of this team have had it very easy up 'til now and maybe don't know how to battle from behind - especially 9 points?
Time will tell, but will the manager get much more time?

I’ve lost count how many free kicks we’ve gave away inside 30 yards from goals in the last week.
The players do look as if they’re trying but they need to show their fight in the proper manner.
Not to mention the silly penalties we keep giving away.

But a good one scores, links up, runs the channels, sacrifices themselves and opens it up for AMCs and others

Maybe ajeti was told to stay central who knows.

But like you, I think it is about pride, hard work, sacrifice, teamwork etc.

We don't look like a team or play like a team . the transitions from back to middle are poor and Christie is all over the place with decision making ( I'd still play him tho)

But there is little consistency moment to moment, no fluidity, and no guarantee that we can control and dominate in the right way

I don't think a 3 3 equals NL sacked or walking away .

Harsh on rogic who was involved in all three goals. Woth a talent like him the others in midfield should do the hard work so he doesn't have to. Never saw riquelme bust a gut! Was Ntcham and duffy who really cost us today. Again. Also calmac was poor and very lucky not to be sent off for persistent fouling and then a blatant foul for the penalty. Like it or not we miss Broony when he's not playing as noone else can put in a tackle . As soon as Jullien or bitton are fit they need to come in for duffy. Would also take Frimpong out for EL hamed. Think Frimpong has a lot to offer from bench when opposition are tiring. And with Eddy still to come we will be a lot more solid and better going forward. Win our game in hand it will likely be 3 points in it. Lot of games to be played.

I thought Rogic did what he was on the park to do, create chances.

The main difference between both teams was that every single Aberdeen player would run through a brick wall for McInnes, the same cannot be said about our players for Lennon.

The main thing Lennon seemed to be able to do as coach was motivate players. If he cannot do this, which I don't think he is at the moment, then his time is up.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 14:16:51
Don't know what's going on with the Hopps at the moment. Ntcham could cost us the league and Lennon his job. He's a good player his passing range is better than any other player we have but you need to spray the ball when players are running off not just to look good.

I've never thought Frimpong was a full back you can see on the left we looked OK Laxalt looks a good solid player we have missed James Forrest the only class we have on the right side theh we man gets stick but when he's not in the we look void of snyo e who can beat a man in the opposition box.

Sorry, the only person costing lennon his job is lennon.
He picks the players, decides the formation, prepares the team, if anyone is being picked week after week it's because he's doing what the manager is asking from him.

He's Clueless and he is costing us any chance of history.

25 Oct 2020 14:14:33
Why do we insist on a number 10?
We play in Scotland in a country where you have to fight and scrap for every ball, we should be playing 3 centre midfielder's so as to control the centre of the pitch.

Another thing I don't get is playing a left footer wide right and right footer wide left wtf is that all about
Football is a simple game, keep it simple and work harder than your opponent usually does the trick.

I remember when BR first came in, the appetite, the desire and the hard work the players put in to win the ball back just isn't there! Why not?

Football is a simple game so why are we making it really difficult for ourselves just now? 🤔.

The lack of tackling in final moments pre Aberdeen penalty is a worry .

Neil Lennon looks haunted

I think he gave us a line up that many would have liked

The lack of momentum is frightening

No solid leeper
Centre halves unresolved
Right back?
Left back new player

Middle to front. ask 1000 fans to select those players in those positions and you won't get anywhere near consensus

If we are honest, it isn't easy in terms of line up, given recent form and general performances

We don't have a stand out performer.

When you concede eight goals in three games, it's probably irrelevant who plays in attack, when you need to score at least 4.
Duffy has had a nightmare week and looks a very poor 'investment'; we have a right-back that is not a 'back', then there's the goalkeeping issues and the amount of penalty kicks we have given away this season, all adding to the building pressure.
Most of us were happy with the team named today (bar Ntcham) and for good spells, played well, but self-destruct is never far away, when the confidence is low and the line-ups vary week to week.
I'm not going to rant about the manager, but obvious substitutions were required at 1-1 and might have made all the difference?
Next week we face Aberdeen in the Cup and today will have a poles - apart effect on both teams, with us needing some sort of lift.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if we won today just papering over the cracks, ww have the beter players but we are not playing like that. Its the way we surrender without any fight or passion that annoys me and probably most celtic suporters, i can handle defeat if every player gives everything on the park, just now these last few months we don't seem to have that.

He owes the manager a big performance for giving him so many chances and today would be the perfect time to deliver.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

25 Oct 2020 11:21:04
Ntcham can be frustrating to watch similar to Elyounoussi because they should be more consistent.
They are either a 4 out of 10 OR an 8 out of 10.
Fans were wanting Ntcham to play further forward in the number 10 role but it hasn’t worked out.
Having Ntcham, Elyounoussi and Rogic in the same lineup is a gamble because they sometimes lack effort to go with their ability.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 11:25:37
Happy with the managers reaction - that was probably prompted by what he saw in the second half v Milan? Agree about Ntcham, but with Broony out of the team, he has an opportunity to step-up.
Still have concerns about our leaky defense, which has been re-built yet again, but as long as we score more than them?

We need to play Moi in the no:10 role, that's where he played when he played alongside Ajeti at Basel and they both scored a lot of goals together.

{Ed007's Note - In his first season at Basel Moi played mostly on the RW (19) and on the LW (15) with the odd appearances as a CAM/SS. In his second season when Ajeti was there he mostly played on the LW (24 apps 7 goals and 9 assists) and CAM/SS (17 apps 6 goals & 8 assists) with the odd appearance on the RW.
Ajeti notched up 31 appearances that season scoring 14 goals and 5 assists.}
