TV presenter Eammon Holmes has defended Brendan.
He said "good girl" is a common term used in N. Ireland and he doesn't see why it's offensive in Scotland.

Agree8 Disagree0

Too many people looking to be offended now.

The Sky Sports commentators reference to ‘the Queens coffin now passing the statue of John Knox who rid Scotland of Roman Catholics’ was offensive.

Nothing said.

Charlie’s promise that ‘ I Charles the Third by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of My other Realms and Territories, King, Defender of the Faith do faithfully promise and swear that I shall inviolably maintain and preserve the Settlement of the true Protestant Religion in Scotland’ was offensive.

Nothing said.

The Scottish Media’s negative Celtic narrative that Jane Lewis was promoting was offensive.

We’re up to our knees in Fenian blood is offensive.

Nothing said.

Oh no Pope of Rome no Chapels to sadden my eyes no nuns and no priests no rosary beads sang by 50,000 every second week is offensive.

Armed Forces day at the Bronx and presence of the Paras is offensive to the people of Derry.

It’s motives that determine guilt. What was offensive about what Brendan said when putting down the negative Celtic narrative?

We’ll write our own story.

Whoever is offended is easily offended.

Don’t lose sleep over it Brendan just get 3 points please against Dundee.

Although she did snigger at the time,
She has since said she wasn’t offended.

Unsurprisingly Everyone, Anyone else is offended ?‍♂️.

It's a non issue if a Jane Lewis had said good lad to brendan would that have offended anyone.

JFP,
It was a bad enough comment to make going by the statue but they all started laughing thinking it was hilarious.
Like you mentioned, Nothing Said.

Afternoon All

We all know that there is an anti Catholic and Anti Celtic agenda from every section of the media and there masters who own them etc.

I posted either on forum or podcast a short time ago that we need to be more prepared than ever for the negative stories surrounding Celtic, our players, our fans etc particularly when Sevco have temporarily taken our place at top of league.

It's even more critical than ever that we all stick together and back the team.

In the remaining games there will be ups and downs, points won and lost but the very least we can do is give the team our undivided backing and support.

At present, we are where we are and we know there has been issues regarding recruitment, unhappiness with board etc.

I sense there is change in the air.

I genuinely don't have blind optimism and am confident we will win league.

Never ever write Celtic off.

?.

Just like being up to their knees every week here in Scotland but in European games they all now remind each other it will be a ground closure for racist singing if its heard. They already have had 2 partial stadium closures due to their racist chants. So basically our Governing bodies think its ok and acceptable so they must think Uefa are wrong on their stance. Nobody has asked the question as to why our Governing Bodies think Uefas view is wrong. I wonder why?

Buzz

Spot on they did indeed have a chuckle.

If the reference had been to any other religious or minority group there would have been public furore.

Equality, diversity and inclusion for some but Roman Catholics are fair game in Scotland.
