This whole thing with the SFA/ SPFL is a total farce.
Why, in this day and age, do they have to have secrecy etc?
VAR - Potentially and good idea but, as always (and same down south) handled badly.
Why do they have to have a "secret" conversation between VAR and on field ref?
Why not be open and honest and let the paying fans hear AND see on the screens?
Also, instead of blethering for 5 minutes, the ref should go to the side of field monitor immediately and not fert about THEN go.
While I am ranting.
SPFL split.
When they come up with the fixtures for the start of each season, why can't they include the fixtures for the split?
They don't need to know the teams but they can use the positional numbers.
e. g. Team 1 v Team 4, Team 2 v Team 6 etc. etc.
That would remove conspiracy theories about manipulating the fixtures and helping THEM or helping US (not that THAT happens much) etc.

Hi Tim hope your well, totally agree with your VAR and scheduling in advance. In addition I think that all matches in the split should kick off at the same time, regardless of what Sky wants as SKY is ruining our game and doesn't do what's best for promotion of our product.

Should be similar to rugby. You hear everything the ref and tmo are saying at all times.

Very good and valid points, but we all know deep down why there is so much secrecy within the SFA, it's minions and that includes not fully explaining VAR decisions, because it would expose their 'flaws'. Similarly, the fixture computer, or Colin to his pals, needs to know where points have a better chance of being won or dropped to achieve the best possible outcome for his programmers.

It's been pointed out (by several people) that they need to wait to determine the teams due to number of games for home and away.
I still think it would not make any difference but there my be financial issues due to number of home games.
