With Maeda out of the Derby I'd be inclined to play Forrest. He still has more pace than most and whilst not great last time he started against them I think he can still do a shift and isn't scared to track back. I'm not concerned at all at losing Maeda as we have a very strong midfield and whoever plays out wide will only be up against a pair of donkeys!

Maeda will be a big loss all over the pitch and they are scared of his pace and tenacity. Forrest has plenty experience of the fixture that the others do not and I agree could do a job for 60 odd mins.

Statistically Palma is our best winger so apart from work rate and pace he could offer more?

Chinks no offense but that's a silly comment. Maeda is essential against Rangers otherwise Tav has a field day and as much as you say he's a donkey, his delivery is fantastic and he's a real threat going forward if he's not put under pressure and pushed back.

I would like to see us play a more 4-4-1-1 with Iwata, Calmac, MO'R and Hatate in midfield with Kyogo playing just behing Idah up front.
There defence has never been able to handle the big strong forward type like GG or Idah
We could then bring Kuhn, Palma or Forrest when the game was won.

Palma should play, he lost a bit form when he no comp for his place, hopefully he sees opportunity to get his place back, palma was decent against top teams lw in cl, I don’t see any need for anyone else,

Everyone has their own likes, but I hate like he’ll discussing a match that is somewhat down the line when we have a cup match that has some importance and 2 league matches both of them vital importance. Our record against the Sevco this season compares well in comparison with many other SPL teams, surely we shouldn’t be putting that game on a higher pedestal than others . We can win all the games we have left, or we can draw / lose against any of the teams left.
