I would like Celtic first signing to be Butland (£6/ 7m) , the meltdown on there side would be amazing plus he's a good keeper who kept them in a title race for big part of the seadon.

Butland had a brilliant half season and he was well ahead on % save rate.
But
He ended up only the 4th best keeper in the league last season, with Joe having the 5th best save percentage rate.
( Aberdeen, Kilmarnock and St. Johnstone keepers
were ahead )
Typically Sevco went out and signed the worst keeper in the league last season from Motherwell. ?
Liam Kelly’s save rate record was only about 60%.
Butland is still a better keeper than I was expecting.

I agree Joe . There is no point on us buying a goalkeeper who has the assistance of a 2nd keeper and the referee in domestic football.
We don’t spend part of our transfer budget to get one up on them, they don’t have players capable of playing for us.

He was like every Sevconian, over rated. Good keeper, not a great one. But fair play to the Daily Ranger et al, trying valiantly to get them top dollar by claiming he was the next Buffon. I’d buy him to piss them off though.

Joe Hart was better than Butland last season and look at the way some fans spoke about him, I would rather have Schmeichel or Dubravka than him.

No chance! Dare I say he should have saved O'Reilly's at Parkhead. Very over rated for me. Would be great to put a £5m bid in tho (Furra laff) , and see what they say. ?.

I honestly can't believe what I'm reading. No matter how great, good or average he is. Are we so desperate that we'd have one of THEM as OUR no1? I'm flabbergasted people would consider it. An actual zombie dancing to zombie nation and we applaude? I'd rather have Carl muggleton in goals than butland.

Smkemeakipper You are right, how could any of us think of giving them money, and to think some fans blame our Board for not putting our foot on their throat . I would give them nothing . I would demand millions for whatever tickets they are allocated, paid up front to cover tickets and damages .
But neither club nor fan should buy a single chip off them.
