Wait for the backlash from the fans regarding the transfer window if we loose heavily in the next to matches.
I know they are meaningless friendlies but it's perceived the club are sitting on its hands.
There must be players lined up. let's hope we have more news soon.
A club like celtic to have one proper first team striker is absolutely mind boggling.

Jungle John, I don’t know why a club like Celtic need more than one striker 12 days before the first league game and approximately 40 days before the end of the transfer window. I don’t think think there will be a backlash from our fans who once again have bought all the season books that were available and apparently are buying merchandise in as great a quantity as any previous year . The Board could have signed 20 players by now, if they wanted congratulations and claps on the back from gullible fans . But I for one don’t want our Board signing players to please our fans . I prefer the Board to keep to the guidelines that they agreed with BR and only buy the type of player he wants. The Board doesn’t see it necessary to leak information to the Sevco supporting SMSM . Celtic fans would. be better waiting until they see who Celtic have signed before making a fool of themselves with a premature backlash after winning 12/ 13 SPL titles and 5 trebles.

In reality, pre-season friendlies mean absolutely nothing but when there's a negative feeling around the place already these sorts of things get way more scrutiny. As always though, it's the club making a rod for their own back.

Eh?

PREMATURE backlash? After the last two transfer windows?

Whit?

Wes Des 1 - you seem you have a habit of responding to any bhoy who has a pop at the lack of transfer activity. I think most fans are disgruntled by the showing in the last 2 transfer windows and are anxiously worried. I appreciate we have won 12/ 13 spl titles but Europe has been a shocker. I’m for one are not content in winning the spl. I hope you are correct in 40 days time when transfer window ends but the real footy starts in 2 weeks and as a previous posted stated 1 recognised striker and left back.

Selling OH foolishly led me to believe we had a replacement lined up already. Now, whether that was Idah and it has cooled or we have other irons in the fire I do not know, but if we proceed to sell MOR - again without a better option as replacement I'll be a tad beelin.

Brendan has already mentioned he wants another 2 strikers to challenge Kyogo.

Under ange players were brought in before players being sold ie AJ.
BR can't be happy with the slow start to the window but that's not to say we will not end it with a flurry.

We all know we're the best by far in Scotland 12/ 13 proves that, let's face it, it hasn't been difficult being Scotlands top dogs. Europe is the only way we have to prove how good a side we are, recent history shows we're not that good, we have teams from everywhere in Europe embarrassing us, this isn't good enough. Our board is content with domestic dominance, this is clear to see . If we sign Idah and Bernardo and sell O'Reilly unbelievably we go into a new season weaker than last season. We've got tens of millions in the bank and guaranteed CL windfall, somethings definitely not right . Why are we not spending? Is there a reason for this?

Jungle John CCV and Jota were signed on the last day of the window and I'm sure it was 9 or 10pm they were announced from memory, there seems to be this myth that all business was done early under Ange because we announced 3 players from Japan before the window opened and if my memory serves correctly that was because their season had finished.

The transfer market is awash of players who would sign for Celtic, but these players are players that haven’t showed enough in their careers to date to indicate that they would be a major help to us domestically and certainly not in champions league. The recruitment team and Brendan have to be very careful that they don’t land us with players we don’t want .
Many Celtic supporters have always enjoyed reading about Sevco fans ridiculing their Board and Manager and without doubt the Rangers2012 Board and fans who are almost at war with each, and have done nothing over last years but destroy the two clubs coming out of Ibrox. . With their waring factions at breaking points the behaviour of some of our fans when they never before had as good results as over last 20yrs. Our fans threatening trouble on flag day should wise up, all this nonsensical over the top criticism of Board is soothing the Rangers fans pains.

Surely losing midfield players like M O’R and Hatate will have a greater adverse affect than Kyogo, everyone on forum seems to accept that MO’R can walk out on his contact and nobody criticises either Matt or Board . If Hatate got injured with Matt maybe gone, we would be in a terrible position, partially self afflicted.
