As with the signings incoming I hope holm gets minutes this season. He was regarded a top talent when we got him and I really don't want him to be one of these players who leave to then become a fantastic talent because he wasn't given time.

I like Holm and think he will be a really good signing for us.

I'd still rather we loaned out Holm even if it's just until Jan. The boy needs regular. He looked good in pre season but getting the odd 10 mins here and there when the games fizzled out isn't going to develop him.

I like Holme, really talented player but with the players we are in for, he would struggle to get game time, a loan to a team he'd play for regularly, at a decent level and he can comeback, game time fitter and better and maybe with a chance BR will pick him.
I think like a few players, BR said he was lazy and if you are like that, you want play in this team.

That's Kobyashi, Lager and now MJ all set to leave which will take in more money and save wages.
The money for them alone should cover buying the polish lad from MLS.
Money we took in from previous sales should pay for or help pay for Engel, so if MOR goes, that money should be invested on new CB and LB imo.
Even if we spent 10-12 on O'Shea and 2.5 on Beck, we are still in the black. Although O'Shea looks like he may be heading to PL.
Do we have anyone else in mind at CB, because going into CL with CCV and Scales really concerns me and it will be concerning BR, he's a realist and nobody's fool.

Maeda there was talk early in the window of Chris Mephan from Bournemouth coming in, although as per it’s gone quiet .
Him and o Shea are the only ones I’ve read about . Sometimes I wish we wouldn’t be linked with prem players as it’s obvious we can’t compete with wages they are on, so inevitably rarely get them over the line and signed. Then the board can say we just couldn’t get it over the line on a couple. What u mean they wouldn’t accept a massive wage cut to come and play for us ?.

Quinn, that is a huge issue for us, we can offer CL and winning trophies but we cannot give them the wages they can get elsewhere.

Very happy Valle and Trusty are in.
Brendan was clear that sentiment will be set aside and best team in his view will play.
Scales and Taylor will still get plenty game time but they won’t be first choice until Trusty or Valle drop their performance levels.

The 2 Bhoys at the back were immense, I really hope the people getting on there backs give it a rest, also young Valle was superb as was the whole team.

Well we started both halfs far to slow which cost us today but I wonder if there are still certain people on here who think that Sevco will finish more 10 points ahead of this Aberdeen team in the league.
If they do this league will be a hell of a lot closer than I am hoping for.

Just thinking of the strength of our midfield which I think is outstanding just now.
One thing I was thinking about was who will drop out for Engels, I'm thinking we will see Hatate sitting out a lot more as Bernardo is outstanding and should be starting especially in Europe.

Engels will get his chance and has to earn the place first, it won’t be easy. Hatate when at his best, is dynamite, Bernardo is a player getting better with every game so Engels has a job to permanently dislodge one of them unless we get injuries. I think we can keep 3 guys looking for 2 places happy with rotation and subs.

Do you think that we haven't brought in a LB just now as we are waiting until the last possible minute to see how KT's recovery is going.
I've got a feeling that we could still look to bring him in on loan.
If he hasn't recovered by the final few days of the window I see another LB coming in on loan possibly Beck.
{Ed007's Note - No mate and that would be sheer lunacy if that is the plan. Arteta said the other day that KT was weeks away from being anywhere near ready to start training so I don't see how he would even pass a medical.}

If we do sign him and it's a big if, I really hope we let him stay at Motherwell for another season on loan.
Also why is it people also mentioned who a players family support?
The boy played for our youth teams and was in our academy and only moved to Motherwell as his dad didn't see a pathway to the first team.
We have also had a lot of previous and current players who grew up supporting the other team
That kind of thing doesn't matter in Football anymore, even Barry Ferguson was wanting us to sign Lewis.

The only way I would give Taylor a deal is if he understood that he would be seen as a squad player at the most.
We can upgrade the position. I would try and bring Valle in on a permanent deal if possible.

Surprised and Disappointed to see Taylor starting, I just don't think he has the pace for these games. I really hope he has been told to make sure he stays back more and doesn't play as an inside forward or we will get caught out again.
