Lenny has said he's been in a 2 hour transfer meeting with Pedro and Hammond and another one due tomorrow. and they're making inroads on new players.

24 May 2020 14:43:26
We're supposed to be ìnterested in a young player from West ham who's highly rated.

Mallythetally67

1.) 24 May 2020 19:09:55
Veron parkes, never heard much of him tbh but hadn't heard of French Eddie either.

03 May 2020 20:52:06
Been linked with a polish left back.

Mallythetally67

1.) 04 May 2020 01:25:54
Should be Rosenberg left is he still there?

2.) 04 May 2020 12:33:09
Couldn’t agree more VI weird how nobody seems to be taking him when his contracts nearly up.

3.) 04 May 2020 14:12:06
Which Polish left back? Maciej Rybus I hope .

{Ed007's Note - It's Michael Karbownik.}

4.) 06 May 2020 12:02:29
Apparently Michals agent has shot down our interest saying he's aiming for one of the big 5 leagues. Agree why Meling isn't on the radar for free he's better than what we already have and we invested over £5m at LB in the summer.

29 Apr 2020 17:12:24
Looks like we're losing another young prospect to Bayern. what's going on.

Mallythetally67

1.) 29 Apr 2020 18:28:57
I don’t think there’s a lot the club can do if the player isn’t tied to a professional contract, especially when a foreign club come in, I could be wrong.

2.) 30 Apr 2020 19:47:35
It's the same scenario that got us dembele, it's not much fun but need our own young players to believe they have a path to the first team.

3.) 01 May 2020 13:16:51
It will be 3 we've lost with the boy to city aswell and there in for the boy hickey from hearts the Germans are experts at planning for the future must mean the Scottish talent is really good but we need to try hold on these players.

4.) 03 May 2020 21:45:55
We are trying to hold on to these players but with the knowledge of our ex scout, who is now an agent we have problems . Maybe B Munich are signing this 2nd player to keep first player company and avoid homesickness.
Hopefully there is something stopping us continuously losing more .
This is nothing like Dembele who was ready for first team, the two going to Germany are only schoolboys, not ready for first team for a number of years.

24 Feb 2020 13:31:02
Elhamed plays for reserves today great news.

Mallythetally67

1.) 24 Feb 2020 14:25:47
Seen that 1.0 to us do far . Soro in klamila in few others to.

2.) 24 Feb 2020 19:07:35
I think it finished 4-1 for us.
Connell
Klimala
Karamodo x2.

3.) 24 Feb 2020 19:45:48
Is okoflex still playing well for the reserves? I thought he wouldve got a game for the first before dembele.

4.) 24 Feb 2020 22:18:49
Oko flex came on as a sub today, I thought he was near first team as well but maybe dropped down a bit with Luca Connell and Sorro now plus Liam Burt and Ewan Henderson in there too. I think we need to get young Karamoko on as long a contract as possible.

5.) 25 Feb 2020 15:46:45
Am I the only person thinking we should maybe get rid? Imo along with rogic they stealing a wage as they are injured more times than fit, I wondered how we got him so cheap.

Good news Celtic apparently have signed up the bt sport team to do the virtual st coverage.

Mallythetally67

1.) 06 Jun 2020 00:19:27
Better than sky!, I always liked peter Martin's commentary tho, wonder where he is now.

04 Jun 2020 07:33:36
So I pay 600 bucks for my season ticket and I am supposed to think this is a good deal. when I am sitting in my own living room and can get most games on iptv or hesgoal and what if there's more than one st holder in the house watching the same telly. we need some clarification from pedro.

Mallythetally67

{Ed007's Note - There hasn't been a Celtic home game on IPTV or hesgoal for months, CelticTV uses software that makes it impossible - so far - for streaming sites to use their streams.}

1.) 04 Jun 2020 09:57:13
We are going to be roughly £30 a game to watch in the house. Not great but we are over a barrel, if we don’t pay the club needs to sell and may struggle. A see Real Madrid are using there training ground now for the remaining games could we do the same and save money on stadium?

{Ed007's Note - That would probably just lead to moaning about the quality of the broadcast with less cameras etc being able to be used.}

2.) 04 Jun 2020 11:16:30
Ed as you know I got IPTV too, I have not missed a game.
Granted you get the odd niggle but I have seen every game last season.

{Ed007's Note - I stand corrected mate, I was only going with what was being said on the live chat.}

3.) 04 Jun 2020 11:00:13
True enough mate. Going to be weird no matter what happens.

{Ed007's Note - You can't please everybody as there's so many people you will never please .}

4.) 04 Jun 2020 11:23:34
No probs ed.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

5.) 04 Jun 2020 11:29:21
My iptv was fine before it stopped also . Was still getting live 3pm home games . As for the virtual pass? Celtic tv is woeful in coverage, Gerry McCulloch and Simon Donnelly would bore you to tears . And that lassie just doesn't look comfortable on tv lol . Seeing it us with skys blessing? Think they might provide a more professional coverage? What about small clubs without their own tv stations? Seen a stream last season from hearts and missed most of the game due to the camera being blocked by the new stand lol.

6.) 04 Jun 2020 11:55:41
A seen most games ed hesgoal ki d if shutdown . but the question of 2 st holders in the same house needs clarified.

{Ed007's Note - What is the question? I don't see what difference it makes how many ST holders are in a house, I assume they'll all get a code.}

7.) 04 Jun 2020 12:44:45
Ed think mally is questioning, why pay for 2 season tickets in 1 household when 1 will get you the code .

The other side of that debate is if u give up 1 of the season tickets to save money? When fans are allowed back in, you can't then decide you want that other ticket back .

However anyone keeping or buying a season ticket still might not get to a game due to social distancing?

Anyone paying for a season ticket now is doing so to ensure their seat and for the love of the club . Personally the streaming / virtual ticket is only a bonus for people who don't have iptv.

{Ed007's Note - Well if you don't want to pay for 2 tickets don't do it, there's plenty of people who will snap it up. Everybody knew - or they should have - that they wouldn't be able to attend games for the foreseeable future so why fork out for season tickets when you don't know when you'll see a game in person then moan when the clubs, the SPFL and the TV folk come up with a way for you to at least see the game?}

8.) 04 Jun 2020 13:13:10
As I said ed . People purchasing did so knowing that there was a possibility of not attending out of commitment/ love of the club .

I feel the virtual ticket seems to have people thinking it is a cheap alternative not a bonus for ticket holders to at least watch home games until fans are allowed back .

Even people who purchase 2 or more in the same household next to each other will not all be guaranteed to attend together once limited numbers are allowed back to start with .

That's the next dilemma the clubs will face . How and which season ticket holders can attend and which paying customers can't . There is no way, as you said in another post, can every one be pleased . Am glad I'm not charged with making these decisions.

9.) 04 Jun 2020 13:14:26
Can’t see the issue tbh bhoys it’s the best we could ask for. The club doesn’t know when we will get back in but your seat is secure when we do. I’ve heard that they will give a %refund for games missed when we get back in not sure if true.

03 Jun 2020 12:50:51
Ed or anybody know how this virtual season book works if you've already signed up to renew and the first instalment due to come off?

Mallythetally67

1.) 03 Jun 2020 14:21:52
Jp Taylor rekons all ST holders will be given a code for Celtic TV to watch all home games I'd imagine something like your client reference number will be the code and the club will be hoping to sell pay per view tickets to anyone else to generate an income.

2.) 03 Jun 2020 15:06:27
So we are going to pay £545 to watch the games from home? I will miss the journeys in and back as the banter is brilliant.

3.) 03 Jun 2020 15:10:16
Thanks jaw sounds reasonable 👍.

4.) 03 Jun 2020 15:10:30
Mally
I think it will be included with your season ticket.

5.) 03 Jun 2020 15:12:28
Non-season ticket holders could also buy the home package which will generate income.

6.) 03 Jun 2020 15:19:56
@campsie totally agree mate the match itself is a big part of the whole experience for me as well the sooner we're allowed back the better.

7.) 03 Jun 2020 15:34:20
Surely they don’t expect us to pay 550 to watch it on tv?

8.) 03 Jun 2020 16:06:55
Timalloy, it is exactly for reason 2 that I stopped subscribing quite a while ago. It is atrocious, and that's putting it mildly. HH.

9.) 03 Jun 2020 16:43:17
I buy Celtic TV every year even though it's not great. with work commitments buying a season book is a non starter for me. Do you think they will increase the Celtic TV subscription? And how much do you think Celtic will charge a game for pay per view? I am actually quite pleased if there is that option but not if it's a rip off. Cheers.

10.) 03 Jun 2020 18:14:12
I think your subscription will remain the same as before with home games being shown at a later time that you will be able to view and season ticket holders will be able to watch live with a code.

11.) 03 Jun 2020 19:14:45
Lawwell mentioned it’s for full priced season tickets holders.
Does that mean a pensioner with a concession season ticket, who has been watching Celtic for over 60 years will be denied watching our homes games on his own television in this historic season? Surely Not.

12.) 03 Jun 2020 22:54:33
Buzz I'd be very surprised if concession tickets where not included as full priced season books as people eligible for theses are paying what the club deems fair and reasonable making them full paid tickets.

13.) 03 Jun 2020 23:44:17
I hope so Jaw. 👍.

14.) 04 Jun 2020 12:02:46
I think it would be best for all if season tickets were suspended for now until the fans can get back in, then put out a subscription for any fan to watch our games, I think £18.88 per month for all games is fair. No one misses our 10 in a row season and the club would maybe even make money. We could even have the option of £1.22 to a charity of our choice or the celtic foundation.

See slippy had been at the lying again Rodgers has slapped him down for talking mince about the famous game he cost Liverpool the league.

Mallythetally67

31 May 2020 16:30:59
Jozo only played 125 games over 5 years awful return.

Mallythetally67

1.) 31 May 2020 18:01:10
Still feel he made a decent contribution.
First season with us 17 games.
Next 3 seasons, 30 or more games.
This season around 15 games.

Always felt he played for the badge and was instrumental in the invincible season defensive record.

I can understand why we haven't offered him a new long term deal but in my opinion it's a bit of a risk not taking up the option of another year. If Ajer leaves or Jullien gets injured we will be left very light in that area.

2.) 31 May 2020 20:45:05
Maybe buy a cb that can be relied on to stay fit.

3.) 31 May 2020 21:14:02
Injuries are down to bad luck mate. Can happen to any player. there's not a player in the world you could buy at the moment that could be relied upon to stay fit and not get injured.

Jozo was captain of some very good Croatian youth teams up to 21s when we bought him. It's a shame injuries blighted the boys career with us a bit but I don't think we can be too disappointed with what we got from him in his time with us.

4.) 31 May 2020 23:48:11
I liked Jozo when he was fit and I must admit, if somebody had asked me how many games he played for us I would have thought less than 125. Good luck to him. Maybe a warmer climate will keep him fit longer.

5.) 01 Jun 2020 07:57:55
A liked jozo he was a proper defender with a nasty streak but the reality is he wa always injured. Agree he was unlucky. but let's get a good solid cb signed.

6.) 01 Jun 2020 09:17:11
It's up to Celtic if and when Ajer leaves so I wouldn't be too worried about that Buster. Jozo is decent enough when he's on the pitch but it was always difficult to actually get him there in the first place. Then just as he was looking to get into a rhythm he'd either get injured or be forced to sit out due to the pitch etc. This might be unfair or petty but I was finished with him after the Copenhagen game.

{Ed007's Note - Maybe in the good old days, Kev clubs decided when players moved on but these days if a player wants out 9 times out of 10 they will get their wish and as things stand Ajer wants out.
Now it's up to Lennon, Kennedy and guys like Brown to get in his ear to try and change his mind, or would a new improved deal & a promise he will be allowed to move next summer help sway him to stay for another year?}

7.) 01 Jun 2020 10:33:02
Totally agree Ed but what I meant was with regards to us being caught short if he goes. I think he'll probably go this summer but the club will have every opportunity to plan for it and have something else lined up for when/ if he does. Having said that, Dembele showed that these best laid plans can turn on a Tanner.

{Ed007's Note - Oh right, I misunderstood you mate, sorry. With Simunovic being released so promptly and the uncertainty regarding Ajer's future I'm sure Hammond will have already made some progress with potential signings.}

8.) 01 Jun 2020 12:55:50
I think we'll need to sign 3 new centre backs to be honest. Ajer will go and we can't depend upon bitton or elhamed to stay fit.

9.) 01 Jun 2020 14:48:06
I am a big fan of Ajer but if he wants to leave then feck getting in his ear. Punt him and bring in a replacement.
Like wee Strachan said
“If people don’t want to come here, win titles and play with good players at the highest level in Europe in front of 60,000 fans with a chance of becoming a legendary figure that’s fine by me, If you can get that elsewhere, then fair enough. ”

Same applies to any player here. You don't want to be here for one of the most legendary seasons in the clubs history then do one.

10.) 01 Jun 2020 17:18:57
He isn't the greatest defender either Kev.

11.) 01 Jun 2020 20:10:52
He is a very good defender.

12.) 02 Jun 2020 00:50:37
Ajer a very good defender?
Where about Kev, he is mince in the air for his height. Forever got his hands all over good strikers as his positional play gets him in trouble, gave away a few pens last season also. He is never a CB in my opinion, infront of the back four I think he would be a different animal. Breaking up play as he is good at tackling and his striding forward runs would be more dangerous if he were a bit further up the field.

13.) 05 Jun 2020 17:22:04
Ajer is a very good 21/ 22 year old Centre half . We were lucky Ronny got him to sign for us . As far as I remember he was still at school and was continuing his education. I reckon he gives his best wherever he plays in the back four . Some times fans reckon he would be best suited to playing in front of back four or as a defensive midfielder.
I find this strange as he has rarely played outside our back four, yet without seeing him play as defensive midfield they think he is better playing there than c. back.
