I've heard that Forster is open to signing permanently for us next season. If true, it would be a start - just need to find another 10 to play alongside him.

Pedro71

1.) 02 May 2021 21:15:04
Too late he had his chance there is no way Forster will b at celtic next season. More chance of big Aurthur joining.

2.) 02 May 2021 21:15:28
That would be great pedro. To be fair turnbull, mcgregor and Welsh deserve to be there too. I know today was a disgrace but l would have those lads. Hopefully soro is still there and hopefully we can get Lewis ferguson for some real bite in the middle.

3.) 02 May 2021 21:51:22
Had his chance so NO.

4.) 02 May 2021 21:51:41
McGregor can go and how many goals does Welsh need to cost us another poor game from him. Would loan him out to see how he does but he's been average and some fans were calling him player of the season, shows how bad we are.

Turnbull is a decent player but very lazy and lack heart.

5.) 02 May 2021 21:57:16
I'm on the same page as you Ter with the players mentioned.
The rest need to be sold, sent back or released.
A new chapter should be about to start for our club, new blood and a bright future. Hail Hail.

6.) 02 May 2021 22:00:06
Just what I heard Rich.
If the big man was open to coming back, we'd be mad not to talk to him as the 3 keepers we've presently got on our books, combined, aren't as good as FF.
Time will tell.

7.) 02 May 2021 22:14:21
I agree pedro we would be mad not to sign him. The fans that don't are the same cringy fans that won't mention brendan Rodgers name or even worse the fans that burned his book haha.

{Ed007's Note - If not wanting to sign a player that lied to Neil Lennon & Peter Lawwell faces and then led them a merry dance all summer makes me a "cringy fan" I'll take that all day long.}

8.) 02 May 2021 22:39:00
I know he lied but i would still sign him. Brown also lied to lawells face this year wonder if fans will not mention his name next year.

9.) 02 May 2021 23:33:27
Sorry Dc but what have u been watching this year. Turnbull has probably been our best player along with ajer this season and u are calling the lad lazy and lacking heart. Welsh is a young guy who got dropped in the deep end and has done a decent job and is developing in every game. And finally mcgregor yes has been poor this season but the lad has played non stop for at least 2 years at least and been played out of position under the current management to cover for brown.

If you are going to pick out players to have a go at try Duffy, laxalt, Kenny, nctham, brown, bitton, eddy, all the keepers, griffs, ajeti, Christie to start with!

Yes today no one was good but the whole season has been terrible but to have a go at those 3 guys is a joke.

10.) 02 May 2021 23:50:08
Forster can't get a run in his team out the England set up if we did not know him before would we go for him now.

11.) 03 May 2021 07:57:27
Some Celtic would forgive anything. Forrest lied, stalled and played Celtic/ Lennon like a cheap piano. Now some people want to forget everything. Have some respect for the club you support and tell him to FECK OFF. HH.

12.) 03 May 2021 10:10:26
If there is any chance of getting Forster back to the club, then my opinion is we should do everything in our power to make it happen as the boy is top drawer.

If he were to return then I would move Barkas on in the summer and keep Bain and Hazzard as backup.

13.) 03 May 2021 11:31:39
Have you ever seen turnbull track back or actually follow through with a tackle and not pull out so yes he lacks heart. Welsh imo isn't good enough the boy can't defend. Ajer has alwayd been overated and McGregor had given up.

I could have a go at the other players you mentioned but everyone on here already has but some players who have been just as bad are getting a free ride. there's not been 1 player this season who deserves any praise.

14.) 03 May 2021 13:09:44
Good cbs need a nasty streak and ajer doesn't have it.

25 Apr 2021 11:54:42
Hi Ed, how are you doing?
There's a report suggesting Ryan Christie's contract runs out in December meaning he'd be free to talk to clubs in the Summer, do you know if this is correct?

Pedro71

{Ed007's Note - Contracts need to finish at the end of a season (apart from short-term deals), I think the Daily Fail are taking it from the point when he signed the extension which was midseason.}

1.) 25 Apr 2021 12:15:36
Fair do's Ed, that makes sense ๐Ÿ‘. HH.

{Ed007's Note - ๐Ÿ‘

2.) 25 Apr 2021 15:12:33
He's just another one of the current squad who I would not miss a jot. Not only because of his many woeful performances (unlike his International games) , but he has never had a half-decent game against Sevco - even when we were dominant. I would be very disappointed if the new manager convinced him, (or any of the other squad members who have let the club and themselves down so badly) , to stay at Celtic. When you count the loans, the past-it's, the not-good-enough and the players who 'downed tools'; I am hoping for a large player turnover.

3.) 25 Apr 2021 19:04:01
There's a possibility that Christie's poor performances are related to the overall unhappiness within the squad. Yes, he should be professional enough to step up regardless of the lack of harmony within the first team, and yes he's being paid to do it etc. etc. but there should be no doubt that an unhappy environment will affect all players to some degree.
It's a fact of life and a reality in every workplace that one or two (or more) unhappy employees in a group that relies on unity will definitely have a negative impact on some others as well. HH.

4.) 25 Apr 2021 21:02:44
Pedro71 I hope he runs out along with the contract.

5.) 25 Apr 2021 22:47:33
Christie is far too valuable an asset to Celtic to let him run his contract down.

Personally speaking I think he is a great player when he is on form. Has tons of energy, good technique and a good goal threat.

That being said I do think he will move on in the summer and I am sure we will get a decent fee for him when he does.

6.) 26 Apr 2021 10:10:17
We should be working hard to get him to sign a contract extension. He is a great player who has had a bad season along with the rest of the team while being predominantly played out of position. he's still one of our most dangerous attackers.

7.) 26 Apr 2021 16:20:21
I would try everything to keep him on his day he is a too quality player give him and Ajer 30 to 40 grand a week and a bonus build the team around them Ajer in holding midfield with Christieโ€™s movement and running oofft.

8.) 26 Apr 2021 21:08:37
The only players you will see on that kind of money have to be Larssonesque and while I rate both Christie and Ajer, I don't think either are deserving of that kind of salary in Scotland.

13 Apr 2021 12:50:08
The Telegraph is reporting both Arsenal and Leicester interested in signing Eddy, if true it could help push his price up.

Pedro71

1.) 13 Apr 2021 18:33:32
Canโ€™t see it Pedro neither has the funds for a bidding war.

2.) 13 Apr 2021 19:19:16
Not sure Kev, BR has always admired Eddy and Arsenal will be shifting some players this summer.

Both will need to strengthen and I've got no doubt he can do a job for either.

3.) 13 Apr 2021 23:08:38
I can see either. Leicester have to start building for life after Vardy and Eddy can do that. Similarly, Arsenal will probably offload either Aubemayang or Lacazzete - eddy can fill the void left (although not necessarily a like for like swap with either) .

04 Apr 2021 08:03:32
If Eddie Howe is appointed the talk is he'll be looking to sign the Captain of Bournemouth, CB, Steve Cook on a free.

I'd be very happy if he also went for their GK, Begovic.

Pedro71

1.) 04 Apr 2021 11:21:41
Cook is 29 and we need a cb.

{Ed007's Note - He's 30 in two weeks time.}

2.) 04 Apr 2021 17:58:25
Could be his likely choice as captain too if signed. Might make McGregor consider his future if a club comes calling.

3.) 04 Apr 2021 17:53:34
If heโ€™s free Ed I donโ€™t see an issue with that, realistically we only get 3-4 years max out of these guys anyway. No resale value isnโ€™t a problem if theyโ€™re free.

{Ed007's Note - I didn't really mean anything by it, Steph I was just pointing it out. Isn't there some debate about whether his contract expires in the summer now?}

4.) 04 Apr 2021 21:25:21
Cook has confirmed tonight he signed a contract extension in 2019 with Bournemouth and he isnโ€™t out of contract at the end of the season.
The keeper Begovic has apparently also signed a contract extension behind the scenes.

5.) 04 Apr 2021 23:24:34
Just looking at Howeโ€™s transfers over the years, almost every player he has signed me current value is much less than when he signed them.
Understand if itโ€™s guys he bought in their late 20โ€™s and now in the twilight of their careers would be worth next to nothing but this list is alarming.

Eddie Howe Stats

6.) 06 Apr 2021 16:46:51
Ah rite I see Ed. Aye I seen that too. Itโ€™s funny season the now.

{Ed007's Note - Aye it's hilarious mate ๐Ÿ˜‰

09 Mar 2021 09:25:24
Good morning Ed, is there any truth in us having offered a pre-conteact to Kyle Joseph, Wigans 19yr old striker?

Pedro71

{Ed007's Note - I don't know if we have offered him a contract yet but we have spoken to Joseph's agent.}

1.) 09 Mar 2021 12:39:18
ED007 it baffles me why we have not announced a DOF or a manager at this point can we be lead to believe that he is working in a job and can't be announced? Or they don't know who they want?

{Ed007's Note - People have contracts they need to honour. Who do you think would have taken over after Rodgers if Lennon wasn't available? It would have been Kennedy until the end of the season.}

2.) 09 Mar 2021 13:35:18
It just so frustrating at the moment like we are in Limbo without knowng what's going on behind the scenes if anything cause we know the new ceo he's been named but can't come till 1st why can't they do that with dof and managers ED007?

{Ed007's Note - Because they needed to announce the CEO change to the Stock Market with 6 months notice.}

3.) 09 Mar 2021 13:54:59
Its frustrating i hope that they are not pinning there hopes on one person signing and that person knocking them back at the last moment then us missing out on someone else next on the list.

4.) 09 Mar 2021 14:36:55
Thing is, if we havenโ€™t already got agreements in place for DoF and manager, weโ€™re are putting ourselves in a dangerous place for next season.
If we wait till July for McKay to appoint a DoF, then let him appoint a manager, weโ€™ll be into august, out of the CL and behind in the league. Well also have a squad picked by Lawwell again.

5.) 09 Mar 2021 14:43:02
Absolutely unrelated but I'd like us to go for Jonas Wind from Copenhagen. He's young, has a very good scoring record and is already a Danish international. Don't know whether some richer teams are sniffing about him.

6.) 10 Mar 2021 07:01:46
Waiting on people honouring there contracts. Pity we are not a big club like Leicester and buy contracts out. Celtic plc will save a few quid waiting and the damage of not preparing for the future will cost us millions.

Just watched Man. City give PSG a footballing lesson.
Great to see our wee pal Neymar Jnr greetin and falling all over the shop ๐Ÿ‘.

Pedro71

1.) 04 May 2021 22:26:04
Just reading that Maurice Ross ex sevco has left Notts co after racial comment to one of his own players.

2.) 04 May 2021 22:47:28
Fernandinho and Foden were outstanding and what a bench.

3.) 05 May 2021 10:56:36
Seen a tweet from Jim Spence this morning. "Man City make Champions league final. A inspiration to anyone with a few Billions to spend"
Nail on the head really.

4.) 05 May 2021 11:06:05
Foden is some player. Did trifc not think they were getting him on loan last season haha. Suppose no worse than the Mourinho and Benitez nonsense.

5.) 05 May 2021 11:30:09
What stood out for me was the defending of stones and diaz. Throwing their bodyโ€™s in front of everything and we have Ajer ducking out the way of shots.

04 May 2021 15:18:08
Birthday wishes Ed, all the best - big 50 is it? ๐Ÿ˜„.

Pedro71

Happy birthday Ed imagine having a birthday on a date like todayโ€™s May the 4th be with you ynwa.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks mate - and I know TB, it's one of the coolest things in my life having my birthday on Star Wars Day. I've actually had birthday messages from Stephanie McMahon and Martine McCutcheon for my birthday over the years

7.) 04 May 2021 17:26:59
Happy birthday mate.

02 May 2021 17:34:50
Embarrassing all over the park today, just as we've been all season.

On today's showing Bain and Taylor will lucky to be in the squad next season - utter crap.

Pedro71

1.) 02 May 2021 18:03:29
It was shocking pedro. Bain being the first just shows how back the other keepers must be. Even though brown was shocking for fat head goal taylor never made any attempt to get back into position. He was standing marking no one. All round at very hard day to take. Those players should be ashamed of themselves as well as the management team considering the money they get. I do hope a lot of them do not play in a celtic Jersey again. And as much as l love brown and he is a club legend today simple confirmed what we all knew.

2.) 02 May 2021 18:28:58
Just Bain and Taylor? Wish our problems were only those two positions.

3.) 02 May 2021 19:16:44
Expected nothing less. This is the worst Celtic side I've seen since the 90's. I actually think Mowbray's squad were better than this lot ๐Ÿ˜‚.

4.) 02 May 2021 19:45:46
Pedro why do you mention Taylor and Bain? Are you saying you thought they were good enough before todays game?

5.) 02 May 2021 20:42:41
Dc, no - I've never rated either. Taylor was seen by some as a decent back up LB - today's game should bring both their Celtic careers to an end.

6.) 02 May 2021 20:44:49
BigBubs, I'm still getting therapy for our teams in the 90's but this lot - what can you say? ๐Ÿ˜ข.

7.) 02 May 2021 20:46:41
I agree Garry but I genuinely don't have the time to waste going through every player/ position - this lot don't deserve my time.

8.) 02 May 2021 20:49:21
Ter, it beggars belief. Bain is useless and along with many others in this 'team' should be hunted.

9.) 02 May 2021 20:50:27
Misread your original post pedro mate. Totally agree Bain has never and will never be good enough for us and taylor is average at best.

10.) 02 May 2021 21:10:54
What about Ajer ducking out of the shot rather than standing tall and blocking it with his face if necessary? Therein lies the problem, not enough of them willing to put his body on the line to save a goal. Billy McNeill wouldn't have ducked out of it.

22 Apr 2021 22:03:18
Ed, when you and Paul were talking on the Podcast earlier about some of the younger players you'd like to see get a run out, there was one player I was trying to think off but couldn't get his name, it's Leo Hjelde. This bhoy, who's Dad was also a pro, is getting some good reviews ๐Ÿ‘Œ.

Pedro71

{Ed007's Note - I thought about him but he's out on loan so couldn't play for us but he does seem to be a player.}

1.) 22 Apr 2021 22:16:46
Ah, I should've realised that. These are the bhoys we need to keep and nurture going forward.

{Ed007's Note - I've been really impressed with Welsh this year and he definitely needs to keep his place in the squad next season.}

2.) 22 Apr 2021 22:34:08
I also think young Welsh has done great considering he's made the step up and into a team that's been abysmal all season.

He's just signed a new deal so hopefully he can develop under a new head coach ๐Ÿ‘Œ.

{Ed007's Note - ๐Ÿ‘ I'd give him POTY.}

22 Apr 2021 06:43:20
Good morning Ed, do we know when Dominic McKay may give his first interview or Press Conference as Celtic CEO?

Pedro71

{Ed007's Note - I've no idea mate but I wouldn't hold my breath on a press conference, it'll more than likely be a semi-scripted puff piece with Gerry McCulloch on CelticTV.}

1.) 22 Apr 2021 10:38:10
I was expecting a presser as well Pedro but I don't know if that's even a normal thing for a CEO. It was probably just the fact that Lawwell is such a high profile figure and him leaving is a big deal.

2.) 22 Apr 2021 11:03:49
I fear you could be right but would hope, given what has taken place this season, it would be a great opportunity for him to speak to the fans, outline a plan and help to instill hope for the future. ๐Ÿ˜‰.

3.) 22 Apr 2021 11:32:14
Want to hear less from these people, run the business and stay to **** away from football matters.
Quietly go about our business, build new football structure and get ready for next season.

4.) 22 Apr 2021 13:29:58
Somebody will need to address the fans Divcelt but that's probably more within the remit of a DOF than a CEO.

5.) 22 Apr 2021 14:02:19
Surely he would need time to weigh things up and come up with his own ideas of whatโ€™s needed for the club to move forward .

bestybhoy, your info is spot on so far - nice one ๐Ÿ‘. Any mention of a D. O. F.?
I'm hoping Eddie arrives with his coaching staff and a few quality players in tow ready to hit the ground running.
I also hope he's aware of one or two young Scottish players who could contribute to the first team squad.

Mally, not sure if you've seen it on 67 Hail Hail, they put up 11 players who are out of contract in the next few weeks - there's a few good players on there.

I'd like us to look at bringing in 4 or 5, one's with proven abilty at a high level and pay them well as we're saving on transfer fees.

Around them play younger UK based players inc our own Turnbull and CalMac with other Scottish boys in the squad with the view to playing our stronger youth players for the League Cup to bring them through in the next year or two.

I've just seen a short video of yesterday's illegal mass gathering in George Square, where the neanderthals were Fighting with each other - not a cop in sight.

A separate video of three of their 'females' pis*hing in the street and, as always, they leave utter carnage in their wake.

For this to happen once was ridiculous, for it to happen twice is shameful for our authorities, although when you have one of Police Scotland's officers actually on duty and wearing a Sevco scarf, what chance have you got?

Utter scum.

Agreed Buzz ๐Ÿ‘ but like the rest of the Bhoys, I'm glad this embarrassing disaster of a season is finally at an end.

Our players got everything they deserved.

We now await the announcement of a new Head Coach, his staff and I'd hope, a D. O. F. and look forward to welcoming fit, hungry and gifted player's gracing the Hoops next season and beyond, all playing the Celtic way.
