We should be all over Lennon Miller, hopefully they don't get him as well.
10 Jul 2024 12:34:58
The lad is a player. Unlike what we have in our academy. Buy him.
10 Jul 2024 12:48:57
To put him in our b team and then not play play him . he then gets frustrated at first team chances and leaves . like vata and most probably Daniel Kelly etc etc.
10 Jul 2024 13:12:53
I’d buy him, send him out on Loan for a couple seasons and see how he progresses. I imagine Motherwell will want 3-4m for him though.
10 Jul 2024 13:22:12
Miller is better than both of them and still only 17 deep river bhoy2.
10 Jul 2024 14:18:38
How do you know if they don't get a chance.
10 Jul 2024 14:38:08
Miller's the best young Scottish player player for some time.
10 Jul 2024 14:41:23
Anyone that thinks vata left for game time is dreaming.
He left for 3 times the money we are able to offer him.
Wanted same money as most the first team.
Same reason Kelly will go if he does, he's been offered 9 grand a week down south.
10 Jul 2024 15:03:39
How many times you actually seen him.
10 Jul 2024 15:08:09
Keev And you know this for sure as you where part of Celtics negotiating team? if we don't play these bhoys then it's time to scrap the whole academy and buy these bhoys when they break into others first teams. then moan and greet cos we've got no academy.
10 Jul 2024 15:08:12
If celtic can't play a young lad at home against anyone, maybe not against sevco, then just scrap the youth teams, when the management team believe someone has a good future then they have to give them minutes, only way to keep are best young players.
10 Jul 2024 15:16:21
Buy this lad and play him, never mind putting him out on loan or B team.
10 Jul 2024 16:06:14
Lennon Miller looks like a player and idove for us to sign him and loan him back to Motherwell for at least a season or two.
Kelly, has looked good for us IMO when he's played last season, he could form part of our midfield in the future should he stay.
Players like Vata who played for 5 mins and think they're Messi are for me, entitled, nowhere near good enough for a starting place or the game time they think they should be getting. No great loss there.
☘️ ? ☘️.

Fans are arguing that we should play youngsters in home domestic games . That’s something I have also argued for but surely it goes against what many of our fans think and quote Jock Stein “ The Celtic Jersey doesn’t shrink to fit any player” .
Someone said that Motherwell would want £3- £4 million for him . That’s fair enough if Celtic think he is worth that or more we should buy him . If we don’t value him at anything near that we should ignore him .
Lennon Miller is older than the Spanish whiz kid that has been a shining light at the Euros . If it wasn’t for this youngster the Euros doesn’t see to have introduced us to many young stars.

I agree with you cmc, and the same goes for the 'projects' we sign from elsewehere. At 18, 19, 20 - if ypu can't get game time for Celtic, at home, a few goals up against Scottish opposition, then you're not that good. Either that or managers bottle doing so.
10 Jul 2024 18:40:54
I've seen a fair bit of vata. I had a family member in the B team. He was no where near the level to make our first team.
I don't know what people really expect from the youth academy. Every major club around the world only bring through a few players now and then.
For a player to break in to our first team straight away he has to be exceptional like KT and I believe doak would have been.
If not they have to be prepared to be patient and work hard around the fringes of the squad until they get their rewards like Ralston and to a lesser extent welsh.
They are very few of these players leaving our set up that make it at a club anywhere near our level. If they ain't good enough at a lower level then they ain't good enough for us.
Vata will be the next Owen Moffet, .
10 Jul 2024 18:54:46
If Miller is good enough, he would play . All this crap players are too young, no, they’re just not good enough. Some may get there, but true talent Dan cut it. Problem with us we haven’t produced it since KT. Abysmal. Sign the boy would be my shout. If he’s a Rangers man he might not want to.
10 Jul 2024 20:00:26
I think Kelly is going to be a fantastic player personally and if Celtic want to keep him the give him the same 9k a week that he has been offered down there.
10 Jul 2024 22:51:25
We really need to stop this if he's a rangers man nonsense. It means
f-all. Time and time again it gets proven that players go where they get paid best and then where they have the best chance to play and win things.
11 Jul 2024 19:28:33
I have no more knowledge of what Celtic play their players than anyone else, but I think that if Celtic pay Kelly the £9k per week that he is allegedly promised down south, it will begin a disastrous trend for Celtic which will destroy club in the short time . With Kelly’s wage £9k per week, all the other 16,17 18 and 19 year old players will demand and have to get something comparable . There won’t be a club in Scotland that can match our wages and clubs in England will be looking for English trained youngsters to pay a comparable wage . So we will have more and more players not contributing
I imagine we have first team players on £9k per week, so I don’t see how we can pay Kelly with only a few minutes first team match time can get £9k per wk.

I don’t think we have the financial resources, or lack of intelligence to buy a player for a few million from another Scottish Club and lend him straight back. In my opinion that would be completely stupid, we would at lest need to bring him in to our club and access the his level of development, if he is good enough a season training with our first team squad should have him ist team ready probably before end of season or certainly from pre- season onwards .
If he isn’t ready for ist team training, maybe a loan from January onwards would be best for him with a review in the pre-season.
