I was reading IFABs laws of the game -
If we cast our minds back to the penalty hearts were awarded against us, using the actual rules it was not a penalty;
"a player is hit on the hand/ arm by the ball from a team-mate's kick/ header?
This is not handball (unless the ball goes directly into the opponents' goal or the player scores immediately afterwards, in which case a direct free kick is awarded to the other team) . ".

I don't agree with you on this one, Joe. It depends on what you interpret as being "hit" by a teammate's header. For me, that means if it's point blank or they can't do anything about it - Iwata's being a perfect example of what shouldn't be given. In my opinion, the Ross County player's hand was in an iffy position and there's a clear motion towards the ball. If that's us, I'm screaming for a penalty.

It's open to perception so your both entitled that's how they get away with more often than not. Most folk agree but they continually get away with ones in the same game they are awarded, which let's face it is practically every week. Do the bookies even take bets on Tavpen anytime penalty?

keV I didn't comment on the one they got against Ross county. I was merely pointing out that the iwata one should not have been and it is blatantly not a penalty according to the laws of the game.

Is it 3 penalties that Sevco need now in 6 league games to create a world record . If they go through a lean spell, for some unknown reason, all they have to do is give baby Dallas a Sevco game, just as a retiring gesture and he won’t have a problem, he once awarded them 4 in the one game and all 4 were of the soft variety.
