I might be wrong but I think the Scottish Champions will now need to Qualify for the new CL groups format.
The Czech Republic team had a draw tonight which means they are LEVEL with Scotland.
I'm think the Czech's go into 10th place above us possibly because they have more points this season.
The new format gives a place to a club who didn't Automatically Qualify for the Groups but have the most Coefficient points over the last 5 years.
Sevco looked favourites to get that place if they finished second again, to Celtic this season.
But
Another Green and White Hoops team Sporting Lisbon look like ending that route for Sevco.
Sevco don't want Sporting Lisbon to win the league but the Hoops are 4 points clear and they also have a game in hand.
I'm also not sure again but I think the Scottish Champions might go straight into the playoff Qualifying round and 2nd place will have 2 Qualifying rounds next season.
Maybe Tbhoy will know better. ?.

* I meant to add if Benfica or Porto finish 2nd above Sporting, they will get that CL groups place ahead of Sevco.
( that would only matter if Celtic win the title )

I'm pretty sure Scotland are guaranteed a CL spot for league champions this season, I think it's next season that looks to be doomed.

You are right buzz but I do t think it effects next season.
Hopefully all Scottish teams can help out next season and get us the automatic spot back.

I’ve always thought it was next season because I remember we pipped Ukraine into an automatic space, a few years ago.
And I’m sure we Qualified automatically the following season
But it’s been reported we will lose that automatic place in the 2025/ 26 season.

Awe well at least that will be our yearly embarrassment in the CL over. Its Groundhog day every time. The Europa League will be more like our level. If there's no £40 million to bank while we watch our annual gubbing it's all the board's own fault so hell mend them.

Qualifiers should not present Celtic with anything that isn’t achievable if approached in the correct manner. They may even be a benefit in getting us up to speed for the main event. Totally dependent on us not repeating the Lawelll cheapskate fuck ups of the past.
