Jota back on loan for the season.

LeedsCelt

1.) 27 Aug 2024 20:39:35
Jota is on £192k per week, wtf are we paying for him?

2.) 27 Aug 2024 21:03:44
Knowing our board, probably a presto's bag full off embassy coupons.

3.) 27 Aug 2024 21:04:38
Jota signing on loan at Rennes according to Fabrizio.

4.) 27 Aug 2024 21:05:26
He’s signing for Rennes.

5.) 27 Aug 2024 21:21:14
Guess they didn't want the fag coupons.

6.) 28 Aug 2024 00:12:15
Take the left over pies back to the stall for Sunday. Deals gone erse over. Who else can we really try for?

7.) 28 Aug 2024 07:47:34
The reality was that we were never really interested in taking him back imo, ust the usual media tripe.

BR would have known his wage demands, how Rennes have managed to get a deal god knows but good luck to him and them.

Same with Eddie, his last few months with us should remind us how he lost interest and pushed for a move.

His form at CP has never been that good, I don't know what's happened to him but not keen on taking a player back who is so far off form.

Legia Warsaw is reportedly interested in re-signing Maik Nawrocki from Celtic with an offer of £1.2 million. We paid them £4 Million, does that confirm that the SFPL is the league joke of Europe.

LeedsCelt

1.) 13 Aug 2024 19:45:35
It confirms that he's not very good.

2.) 13 Aug 2024 20:25:21
He needs game time he is young, I wouldn't sell him I'd loan him to a good standard team or league, I think there is a player there, Lager I can't tell.

3.) 13 Aug 2024 20:27:57
If our scouts make mistakes like that Mally, hope it’s not going down the same road with Liverpool youngster Owen Beck for similar transfer deal of £3 Million.

4.) 14 Aug 2024 09:07:45
Because of poor scouting and rash decisions we ended up with Nawrocki, Lagerbielke and Kobiyashi way behind Liam Scales.

5.) 14 Aug 2024 10:48:19
Owen Beck is getting mentioned a lot as we enter the final weeks of this transfer window.

I personally only know the basics of this lad, age, position, how highly rated he was by Klopp and how well he performed at Dundee whilst on loan there for the first half of last season.

So much so that he apparently featured in the SPL team of he season at LB ahead of Taylor.

Now, that aside, BR tried to bring this player to CP on loan and clearly rates him.

Is he the finished article, no. Could he be our future LB for years to come, potentially.

We're not a CL team and therefore not looking for the next Roberto Carlos but we clearly require, at the very least, back up for Taylor with the view to that player
replacing Taylor sooner or later.

Personally I don't get wrapped up in the transfer fee of a player, we've signed duds by the dozen that range from £1M-£4M in recent years, under successive managers, whilst our best player, MOR, signed for £1.5M is now apparently valued at £25M + less than 3 years later.

If Beck was rated by Jurgen Klopp who managed him at Liverpool and is rated by BR, he must have something
about him.

☘️ ? ☘️.

6.) 14 Aug 2024 13:02:25
Great post Pedro and exactly my thoughts. Ultimately this is the market we are shopping in. Championship/ League 1 young players or top future talents at top clubs. 6 months from now Beck might be the best LB we've had in yonks. Young, hungry and plays BR way.

28 Jul 2024 16:56:31
Heard we've signed right corner back from Liverpool Conor Bradley? Not sure if it's legit.

LeedsCelt

1.) 28 Jul 2024 17:29:23
Theres little to no chance liverpool would sell Bradley and if they did it would be for an eye watering amount of money.

2.) 28 Jul 2024 18:05:51
Bradley is going to be TAAs replacement.

3.) 29 Jul 2024 06:52:51
Who is TAA I don't follow English football so that's why I am asking
Thanks.

11 Jun 2023 13:19:22
Are we getting compensation payment for Ange and if so, how much?

LeedsCelt

1.) 11 Jun 2023 13:56:49
5 million seemingly.

10 Jun 2023 18:11:21
BR officially announced that he's got no interest in returning as manager so why's he the bookie favorite?

LeedsCelt

1.) 10 Jun 2023 18:56:16
Maresca is currently bookies favourite. It just depends who people are betting on.

2.) 10 Jun 2023 19:14:40
When did BR say this? I can’t see it reported.

3.) 10 Jun 2023 22:07:13
Barry Robson has said he wants to concentrate on the Aberdeen job, and has turned down the Celtic job, someone told me.

4.) 10 Jun 2023 22:29:55
I'd be stunned if Robson was offered the job and knowing him he wouldn't turn us down.

5.) 10 Jun 2023 23:14:13
KOK see this link

6.) 11 Jun 2023 05:49:57
it’s getting ridiculous now, Barry Robson.

7.) 11 Jun 2023 06:54:35
If we’re going to give the job to a coach, why not Harry Kewell, at least he’s up to speed ?‍♂️………that was a joke btw.

8.) 11 Jun 2023 13:05:49
Enrico thinks No where does some of this information come from you know?

rəˈdikyələs

Hail Hail ?.

9.) 11 Jun 2023 15:20:59
That link quotes the Sun so literally nothing worth listening to.

10.) 11 Jun 2023 22:50:41
I'm surprised, we haven't been linked with Callum Davidson, or paul Hartley, its all media spin to try and sell stories. Proper run clubs like celtic will be conducting business hopefully without the press knowing too much until its done.

See our nearest competitors actively signing freebies and "on loan contract" players!
It's worrying that our board will see that as their benchmark signings during the transfer window. ? as Sutton pointed out this is our opportunity to alienate them at this stage, but in fairness unlikely the board will!

LeedsCelt

1.) 22 Jun 2025 15:38:16
Our Board have been complacent in the past and I hope they learned from it. What Sevco do or don't do is not the issue; it has got to be a case of working with the manager to improve and progress both domestically and qualification and competing in the CL.

2.) 22 Jun 2025 16:13:51
Celtic mad . There is no indication in recent seasons that Celtic Board have been complacent in recently . The Board seem to have got their act together and with Brendan Rodgers instance of having the final say, there shouldn’t be any money wasted on players manager doesn’t rate .
It isn’t easy getting 5 / 6 quality players to fit in with our style of football each window, so it’s more and important to keep as many of our better players as possible, if we want to have a team better equipped for Champions League and domestic football next season . We could sign better players for next season but as it takes time to gel them into our team, despite better players we could be a worse team .

3.) 22 Jun 2025 17:00:40
Agree wee desssie 50, players have always been signed it's just most of them don't work so the board are deemed complacent.

4.) 22 Jun 2025 17:03:48
That lot over there may have a problem selling on players due to their contracts. Would you buy a loser with the money they're on?

31 May 2025 22:21:36
Laugh and entitled too at the newco take over, more desperate in fairness, I'm not convinced that our board will not respond in anyway whatsoever, heads in the grass no doubt and we'll all continue moaning here and getting nowhere as usual.

LeedsCelt

1.) 01 Jun 2025 00:40:06
If their head in the grass equates to breaking our transfer record twice in one window then long may it continue.

2.) 01 Jun 2025 08:53:46
Why should we respond to anything they do?

3.) 01 Jun 2025 11:01:45
No need to respond, just maintain our domination and objectives to improve and progress.

4.) 01 Jun 2025 11:23:32
Bit of a depressing post considering we have just won two trophies, got 4 in a row and performed admirably on Europe?

5.) 01 Jun 2025 12:54:19
There's nothing to respond to.

6.) 01 Jun 2025 13:07:20
Our Board, will have to sanction the purchase of probably new players on top of any sales of our Berger players that we may make.
I very much doubt that our response will be limited to anything done by Sevco 493ers more to improve squad.
Let’s hope Paul Tisdale and BR are able to get the players they want and these players do a good job for us.

24 May 2025 21:28:36
Awful game, we all knew Aberdeen would play for the shootout, eleven players in defence throughout the game and extra time. Painful watching, otherwise no real excuse, we were horrendous.

LeedsCelt

1.) 24 May 2025 22:39:36
If you watched the recent midweek game at Aberdeen, and compared the performance of Kenny, with today's performance of Idah, it is easy to see that Idah is alright, if the chances are handed to him on a plate, but he doesn't "seek out the strange and new " (with apologies to Robert Service) , like Kenny does, that is why I think Kenny should be ahead of Idah in the pecking order, until we get Kyogos replacement in.

18 May 2025 23:24:35
Appalling Lineker sacking from the BBC because of his defense to the genoside in Gaza! Given the rat reference I certainly didn't know either. The BBC and the UK needs to call out Israel to exactly what they are!

LeedsCelt

1.) 19 May 2025 03:00:17
Interesting exposé on the front page of the NYT yesterday about the Heritage Foundation's "Project Esther": in essence, a systematic attempt to criminalize all criticism of the Zionist apartheid state, implemented first under Biden and now more aggressively under Trump. The fact that this agenda never makes it into UK discussions of so-called "anti-semitism" is amazing to me. The discrediting of Jeremy Corbyn on these spurious grounds is the most egregious demonstration of Chomsky's "media control" thesis I've ever seen.

2.) 19 May 2025 04:49:24
Crying anti-semitism is a defense technique that's been going on longer than that CC. The UK gov is facilitating the apartheid and is quite honestly to blame for the state of Israel in the first place. Pandering to Washington and the influence of an Israeli lobby ensure that nothing will be done. It's a sad state of affairs as the good in the world can only watch on.

3.) 19 May 2025 07:34:28
I'm not great with politics and never have been but it all smacks of money and greed. They're more likely to get more business out of Israel than Gaza and to hell with morality and human suffering. Once the anger and vitriol has departed what's the betting that we'll be the first to throw our hat in the ring and say - We'll help rebuild Gaza on favourable terms. It just all stinks to me.

4.) 19 May 2025 08:20:31
It was a book by Chomsky, that later got turned into a documentary. It was titled "manufacturing consent" and outlined who owned the media, whose interests it served and how it was used to manipulate what people believed on a wide range of subjects. It is well worth a read/ watch for anyone who is not aware of it.

Getting back to the Zionist lobby in the UK. There was an interesting documentary on this, that exposed how it had infiltrated British politics and who it had targeted. Interestingly they also have links with Tommy Robinson and the far right in the UK.

5.) 19 May 2025 10:12:32
On a lighter note, tho very much linked, I see the British public voted for Israel as their favourite song at the Eurovision Song Contest ?, which btw I am reliably informed was one of the worst songs of the night. This love of Israel and all it stands for goes beyond politics.

6.) 19 May 2025 10:31:34
They all get buttered up on their way up the ranks, Joe.

7.) 19 May 2025 10:58:27
Lineker should actually be commended for calling out genocide, the world stands by and watches as innocent people are randomly slaughtered by Israeli coward's.

8.) 19 May 2025 15:08:46
Anti Irish anti Catholic anti Muslim is OK, the UK and US governments should hang their heads In shame funding this genocide.

17 May 2025 22:58:30
Seeing Palace winning the FA Cup today whatever happened to Édouard?

LeedsCelt

1.) 18 May 2025 01:42:08
Had a horrid season on loan at Leicester city.
He will likely end up back in france or saudi next season. He never really got going after leaving us. As with many others.

2.) 18 May 2025 09:29:05
Yet another case of the grass not being always greener away from Celtic Park. Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

It’d certainly be interesting to see, but neither will get as much game time as I’d like to see. Kenny will probably best go elsewhere for his career potential.

If there’s any hint of truth in that, Sly Sports and the Daly Rag will milk that to sour the entire trophy day. Such a shame to end a brilliant season ?.

{Ed007's Note - I've seen a few videos of what to me looks like young teenage lads fighting - has the world changed so much that parents allow their underage kids to go to these events?
As I said the other day if I was 20/30 years younger and still drank I'd have been all over it but no way a 14/15 year old me would have been allowed to something like that and I'm an OG NED....
