There's a picture of Callum McGregor training today.

John Kennedy mentioned Calmac might be back training by the middle of this week.
So hopefully that isn't his 1st training session.

Fingers crossed but he's got to be 100 % to play. and if he is iwata sits out but think he get last 20 mins depending on how hatate looks.

I know this is probably not the right game to experiment with But if Calmac is fit and comes back for the game. Thoughts on putting Iwata at CB with CCV Scales has been okay but not good IMO and I think Iwata would do a job in there?

Iwata is horrendous as a centre back. Scales is better than him in that position.

It would be a huge to lift to have him lead-out the team at a venue he knows so well; but also a risk if his fitness and sharpness is not 100% in a torrid - possibly brutal game, where we have to get some sort of result. Personally, I think he will play some part.

I think the team picks itself. Kyogo has a great record against them. Maeda keeps Tavernier busy, and as well as NK doesn't really have any competition. Hatate, CalMac and MO'R are our best midfield and have done it time again against them. Scales and Welsh are clearly the preferred CB pairing in CCV's absence. Full backs and keeper don't need a mention.

I prefer Welsh to Scales tbh if he’s fit I’d start him over Scales. We need to target their LB area as they either play a returning from injury midget or a dodgy in defence Barasic.
