Check out 67 hail hail on youtube interview with David Webb really interesting stuff i wouldn't imagine they would manage to pull off that with David Webb being one who celtic are looking at to bring in.

The SFA have drawn plans to finish this season’s Scottish Cup at the end of year, if they can’t get it finished this season.
It now looks highly unlikely the Scottish cup will be finished this season and 2 Premiership league games have now been rearranged on the date the Quarter Finals were due, in the middle of March.

Young turnbull got to be a shoe in for the euros or Clarke hasn't been doing his job.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

18 Feb 2021 16:30:03
Untested at that level. Could see why he might leave him out and stick with the squad that got us there.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 17:17:45
Turnbull looks a really exciting prospect and I’m really looking forward to see how he develops. But just seen Alan Rough comparing him to Paul McStay. Calm doon Roughie. The laddies got the the length of Sauchiehall Street to go before you start making comparisons lite that with a midfielder we’ve not had the equal of since he hung up his boots. It would be fantastic to see it though I’ve waited a long time in the hope of seeing another Maestro.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 17:21:26
He gets goals ad be surprised if he leaves him out.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 17:30:41
Sounds like something Neil Lennon would say, forget about the squad that got us there as such, pick the best squad available.

Agree3 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 18:03:29
hes a fantastic talent and so much more to come from him.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 19:14:26
Right now he is a bright spark in a dull, dark season and he rarely even gets 90 minutes, never mind a Scotland cap.
Selfishly, I want to see him continue his progress and become a Celtic star in what could be a very creative midfield.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 22:12:58
I assume the reason he rarely plays 90 mins is precautionary from his lengthy injury layoff.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 23:04:04
Well considering that Scotland hadn't qualified for a major tournament in christ knows how long, all the players are untested at that level.
Howw is he ever going to get tested a0t that level if he isn't picked.
We as a country seem to be the only ones that seem scared to throw players in to these games unless they have had 7 or 8 meaningless friendlies.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2021 10:15:58
Jon he's untested at International level in general. You'd imagine he'd stick with the squad that played through the qualifiers. I'm not saying Turnbull shouldn't get a shot just that I could understand the reasoning for not picking him.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2021 22:08:54
The rest of the dreadful team are making Turnbull look good. Nothing more, nothing less.

The latest reports are suggesting Callum McGregor is planning to stay at Celtic long term.
That would be a massive boost in our rebuilding process.
Calmac is only 27 years old and his best years are ahead of him.
Callum would be hard to replace because of his consistency and he is always available to play.
Surround him with good players and McGregor will peak to new heights.
I’m sure he’ll be desperate to make a few wrongs, right.

BB

I’d be delighted if he stayed because I thought the tanned fella with the teeth would be in for him. He was the only one you could lip read throwing a rake of f***s after the game against them. He was also man enough for the post match TV interview too and you could see how much he was hurting. I felt he also had a dig at the manager saying we didn’t understand the game and thought he was for the off. It would be a massive bonus if he stays at his age.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 14:05:54
buzz wee have a great midfield in calmac turnbull and soro they 3 are everything a midfield needs. i think wee should look to try get ajer to stay and offer him what he wants as i see him and young welsh a great partnership. for me welsh is the next KT

taylor is getting better each game kenny looks solid and reliable and i think if price is right we should try get a deal done. we do not have such a big rebuilding job as everyone thinks. our team is full of quality i think we have to big a squad we should get some players away and off wage bill and bring in 4 or 5 first team ready good quality signings and we will be fine and give players like Henderson more game time great wee player he is.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 14:38:44
Agree ui but we have to get away from settling for second best ie we wanted toney but wouldn't pay another Mill and ended up with a dud imo.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 14:50:26
I said on the live chat a few months ago that Calmac is going to be the next Celtic captain but Ed thought he would leave, I for one hope stays.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 15:04:45
Totally agree with you all.
CalMac MUST be signed for the rest of his career IMO. On his day in the engine room he's superb.
When you add Turnbull and one or two others, both beside and infront of him, suddenly you've got the makings of a very potent attacking side.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 15:06:40
agree mally Edouard will mostly likely be away. we need to go for a top striker to replace him. i would loan klimala to aberdeen or hibs for the season get him a full season under his belt in this league.

aces were we are at with ajeti and griff and maybe bring in another striker also after Edouard's replacement. midfield is strong can see Christie and rogic away bring in some good funds along with Edouard fee. think elyounossi may go back depends on the manager who comes in. so we will definitely need a left sider. promote young Henderson to first team with a lot more games. our back line just now we need to try and keep that together for next season with one or two additions.

a new keeper is a must but i would still keep barkas bring in a good reliable keeper let him and barkas battle it out. loan young hazard out with option to recall. punt bain and a few more wage stealers.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 16:13:47

Callum McGregor is one of the few that looks like he feels the same suffering frustration of this nightmare season and like Ajer, Taylor and Turnbull has strived to produce his best form game by game.
Also, when Cal-Mac puts on the armband it seems to inspire him.

Today I am making a brief "guest appearance" to say thank you to everyone expressing good wishes and prayers on my behalf.
I am glad to say the treatment I received at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital has improved my well being in a positive way. I was lucky that I received all the latest CV medication immediately and the doctors and nurses were first class.
I would urge everyone to get their vax whenever they can and not treat this C.V. lightly, I am proof of how devastating it can effect you, I was in High Dependcy for 10 days because of it.
Stay safe and healthy everyone.

Had a chat with my daughter last week and we both agreed we would not renew our season tickets for next season if Neil Lennon is still in the dugout as this is the only language our current board will listen to, she will be 30 in a couple of weeks and we have been STH since she was 9 originally without the old firm games (as they were back then) , before migrating to our current seats in FS3, we love our seats as we sit in row 6 just to the left of the Celtic dugout, we have a great group of fans around us which we have got to know over the years, it would be strange eventually going back and not having the same faces to interact with but needs must, hopefully it doesn't come to that as we also have her 5 year old on the waiting list. HH.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

18 Feb 2021 14:21:34
Good man. There will be plenty supporters ready to pick those tickets up and go and support the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 14:21:55
I would be shocked if Lennon was still manager next season because there will be fans similar to yourself PTFP.
And at the end of the day money talks.
I don’t think it will make too much difference that Lawwell won’t be there because I reckon it was Dermot Desmond that made the call for Lenny to continue.
I don’t think DD will want his son to start his new role on the board, with more discontent from the fans towards the Celtic board.
I think next season will be a new start from top to bottom inside Celtic Park.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 14:46:59
paythefacepainter, i applaud you. in order to effect change there has to be sacrifices and you and your family are paying the ultimate. I hope it does not come to that and you can grow old with your daughter and grandkid sitting in your beloved seats. Hail Hail mate.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 14:53:45
No way would i give up my book because of Neil Lennon. I guarntee if the board are stupid enough to keep him, when fans return he won't be long in the job.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 15:13:03
I don't believe it will come to that PTFP.
C.V. has kept NL in a job because if the fans had been allowed in the stadium, home or away, watching this capitulation unfold, he would have been sacked.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 16:34:36
Just hold back on renewal for a bit as many will be doing.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 16:35:43
I've read a few comments on social media saying don't renew and others will take the seat. If NL is still in charge next season I'd expect RD levels of renewals. Especially as its likely to be virtual for at least some of the season. That waiting list that keeps getting mentioned will be gone. I know several ST holders who won't renew this year unless changes are made. Whether they follow through or not remains to be seen though.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 10:00:03
Say we win every game left will this have an impact on new manager or not Or is this a done deal with manager replacement?

if we win everygame from now till end of season lennon will 100% still be there.

Alot will depend on the results vs them.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 11:14:08
DK from what I’m reading and hearing you might not be wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 11:33:43
Or can we expect when the league is lost that there maybe a word from celtic to say come next season there will be a new manager and he will be?

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 12:22:12
I suppose you have to ask what real quality manager would want the job under the financial, geographic and current ranking position?
Said before that the most high profile and best two managers in recent were MON and the previous manager, who had a Celtic allegiance and apart from Roy Keane or ex-players, the speculation fluctuates from day to day as to the favourite candidate?
Apart from the Ross County demo and several banners, having no supporters in the ground has saved NL from much more aggravation and friction IMO and the Board really don't care what fans think or we would have seen major changes last year during the 'crisis'.
The season-book issue may not even been seen as leverage because of the waiting list and hard-core die-hards loyalty?

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 13:06:20
DOF or whatever it may be called job has gone quiet any noises coming out Celtic. Heres a far fetched but not at this moment impossible. If things go belly up for that mob and Celtic win the league ( miracle ) will Celtic have deserved it and will supporters be happy with the season?

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 13:44:25
Apparently 4 candidates have been interviewed Rich.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 13:55:38
For manager or DOF cause supporter group 67hail hail had an interview with David Web quite interesting you should look it up on youtube change of the club is always good but fingers crossed we get it right.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 15:38:59
I'm not sure why, but NL doesn't seem to accept or appreciate that his legacy is being eroded this season.

He is no doubt someone who divides opinion even amongst Celtic supporters - the comments on this site would support such an observation.

He is already a Celtic legend, no doubt, and it would be a shame if he inflicts further damage to that legacy after everything he has been through.

Personally, in my eyes he has shown either stupidity or arrogance this season and I don't believe for a minute he's stupid.

Celtic Football Club is bigger than ANY individual and for NL to still be the manager now is one thing, but for him to be the manager at the start of next season would be unacceptable.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 09:47:05
Dont think the £7m is anything to worry for now.

However i do question whether it remains sustainable for us to rely on selling players each season to fill the void.

With the type of recruitment we have done since rodgers left we will start to run out of these high value assets.

This will cause us to have a weaker side on the park at the same time as rangers get stronger. This in turn will make it harder for us to recoup the money due to reduced season ticket sales and lack of top European football.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

18 Feb 2021 10:35:31
As well as continually bringing in average replacements that will never make any profit, we don't have another real stand-outs coming through the ranks like a KT right now - although time will tell?
When Eddy, Ajer, Jullien and probably Christie leave in the summer, we may only have Cal-Mac, Turnbull and Forrest that are 'assets'.
It's imperative that the management and recruitment teams have the full financial support to get us back to REAL Celtic standards.

Agree1 Disagree0

onceabhoy. in terms of youth over the past 10 year wee have produced KT calmac forrest mikey johnstone and young welsh looks like he will be a brilliant player to so i think we are producing well within our youth. young ewan henderson is a great player also definitely worth more first team appearances but he is not getting them. we are definitely bringing through great quality. i think young welsh could be the next KT look how brilliant he has slotted in there basically calmed down a poor defence.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 11:04:19
DK recruitment is definitely an issue which is there for all to see. I don’t think Rogers was the reason it was better or worse since he left. His coaching ability is not in question but nowhere in his career did he demonstrate his ability to spot talent.

Whether our poor recruitment has been down to Hammond or Peter Lawell pulling rank over his targets as has been suggested who knows. We need to grow our own and find the best gems as we did with KT, VVD, Dembele and Eduard. If we are less capable of doing that now than we were previously we need to establish why that is the case.

Our business model should be based on the potential for players to come and play and gain exposure on the European stage and our position as a shop window to the EPL.

I don’t think your fear that basing our strategy on selling players is a risk as the money is earned before it is spent. The problem seems to be at the moment our youth development and our ability to unearth gems seem to have failed simultaneously. If we are to add to that reduced season ticket sales next season which we’ve been discussing on here it could be the catalyst for a downhill trajectory.

I’m obviously in a minority on here at least given the comments in thinking for these reasons stated that it’s not the time to vote with our feet and wallets as a protest. I think these failings at the club do need tabled however and discussed openly to encourage the fans to support the club or the converse and our decline will be attributable to the silence from and contempt shown by the board.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 11:18:08
It wasn’t a £7 million exaggerating loss.
Also how do you know we will have reduced season ticket sales?
Celtic still have International players who are big assets to our club.
We recently sold a project which will make the club another £8 million.
Also the Ibrox club have another court date next month and they will eventually need to pay Ashley out loads of money.
Celtic will still get the chance to qualify for next seasons CL group stages.
If Scotland remain ahead of Ukraine clubs in the co-officiant points table,
Celtic can win the league next season which will guarantee another £30 million on top of the money we still have in the bank.
That would take care of your European question.
Celtic also have a sizeable credit facility on standby at a time our rivals are running out of shares to dilute.
I always get that feeling when I read your posts, it comes from a Sevco point of view.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 12:01:53
I think recruitment is the problem, who ever is responsible for it needs to get his jotters, I just don't see the player in Klimala, don't think he is as good as Nesbit, who we could have got for a lot less and I think has the makings of a very good player, Duffy is no where near good enough, think we could have got better in Scotland, well we did with Henry, but he has been shipped out too hastily, is crazy when you think about it, we loan out Henry and loan in a worse player.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 12:24:09

18 Feb 2021 12:28:02
UI; I don't think Mikey Johnston will ever 'cut-it' at Celtic and right at this moment many of our best young players are being poached away from right under our noses and that is a real concern.
As I said who knows, what talent may emerge in the future, but right now we are limited and worryingly, some are walking out the door.

onceabhoy. we play in Scotland mate its all about money. some of these youth players in the so called big league are on more than our important first team player. the big clubs in all the so called big leagues are snapping up the best youth of every team it just shows we are producing great youth players for them to be snatched. the only problem is they need be gave more time with first team for them to think about staying. mikey is a great we player injury's are his problem.

the bottom line is money runs football now. if you got the money you pick and choose who you want when you want.

There’s a picture of Edouard’s boys club and their opponents, when they were only 8 years old on social media.

Edouard scored 3 goals and Mbappe managed 4 goals in the game.

There's no doubt the Bolingoli incident, followed by the Scottish Government suspending 2 of our games at the start of the season, had a major impact on our season and we never recovered.
Last night was our 5th rearranged game of the season and Celtic have finally caught up after 29 games which is 75% of the league campaign played.
Celtic have been playing catch up since we played only the 2nd game of the season.
Celtic only managed to play one rearranged match before the New Year and that was only because we had free midweek due to our surprise CL exit.
The pressure was already on this season and to play catch up constantly for 6 months was too much for the Celtic squad.
And it definitely eased the pressure on our rivals who have always struggled in the past when pressure was applied.
It's been a freak season all round and it doesn't look like Celtic are going to add the Behind Closed Doors Title to our previous 9 leagues in a row.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

18 Feb 2021 08:47:25
That was definitely a big factor as it did seem that while we did not have our own troubles ongoing with unsettled players and new signings struggling to settle, there was a 'pile-it-on' cause and effect.
Obviously European collapse, puts more pressure on the manager and it certainly was a scenario our opponents and detractors dreamed of.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 10:10:06
Good points buzz bomb. I can’t help feel though that as a club we’ve majorly contributed to the mess. Starting with bolingoli, that clown should’ve been sacked never mind sent to a team playing champions league football while we got scudded all over Europe. Still can’t understand how he managed to get to Spain for a night, come back and integrate with the squad and play a small part at Kilmarnock and not one Celtic employee new anything of it, including his team mates. Prior to that situation we had an absolute nightmare window in the summer again leaving business to the final days, panic buys and loans that by in large have been a disaster. Then the Dubai trip which lennon held his hands up to and admitted he along with his staff pushed for that trip which was supposedly going to turn our season and instead Mande matters a whole lot worse contributing to most our big players sit out 2 games while we dropped more stupid points. The seasons a right off and has been from the start.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Feb 2021 10:56:20
garry everyone was praising the summer window so at the time it was not a nightmare it was a good window. young turnbull is a fantastic buy elyounoussi has been a good signing. duffy and barkas and ajeti have not worked out laxalt has been okay but he is not a defender more a left sided attacking but he was played at left back. big money was spent on the 3 players who have not worked out so the board definitely went and spent for this season they can not be blamed for how the players have turned out all 3 came with great CVs and definitely have quality just something has went totaly wrng this season and i think CV has played a massive part.
