Reports Celtic have excepted 13million from Brentford for Ajer.

1.) 15 Jul 2021 15:04:56
@Auf1888 yes big Ange is slowly clearing out all the troublemakers from last season, and if Brentford is Ajer's level it proves HIS lack of ambition.
Just remember Chris there is Norway back.

2.) 15 Jul 2021 16:11:51
I wish Ajer all the best I don't think at any time he stopped playing even though he made it clear he wanted a move I wouldn't say that about all the players that have apparently asked for a move last year, Some as you have said have been trouble makers and the sooner they are gone the better.

3.) 15 Jul 2021 17:09:21
Tim, Brentford are playing in the premier league where players want to ply their trade could we pay £13.5 million for a player no chance and his wages will probably triple and move on for the many millions the splash out down in England so for me it’s hardly lack of ambition playing in the premier league.

4.) 15 Jul 2021 18:06:13
Big Toney going the other direction I hope😂.

5.) 15 Jul 2021 19:10:41
I don't remember ajer ever causing trouble apart from his agents antics? I might be wrong but I thought the big man was one of the only players to show any kind of passion last season. Would love for us to tie him down to a long term contract and make him captain as crazy and unlikely as that sounds.

6.) 15 Jul 2021 19:31:13
Oldkilly, it's definitely not a lack of ambition. He's off to the best league in the world and Brentford I feel will be another stepping stone. I hope there's a nice sell on % in there for us.

7.) 15 Jul 2021 21:25:25
Ajer like VVD and all the foreign players, see us as s stepping stone. Big Kris gave his all. Made us millions. And hopefully more if he does well. We should all wish him well, even if it's just self interest, he does well, we make money. I wish him well. If he succeeds, then every other player we buy, has the benefit of knowing English clubs can trust us to produce players worth millions to us. They get a move if they turn it on, in Europe. It has to be Europe as nobody rates our league. If they do that, we may avoid being constantly handed our erse. The CL might even happen.

14 Jul 2021 14:35:49
Reports Brentford up Ajer bid to 15 million plus add ons.

1.) 14 Jul 2021 14:57:22
Surely they need to accept it.

He wants to go and if that’s the level of team he goes to then it’s his choice after all.

2.) 14 Jul 2021 15:08:53
Kev T2
He's going for money. Which is fair enough. Out of all the 1year on contract brigade from last season. IMO he didn't down tools. Wish him good luck.

3.) 14 Jul 2021 15:11:52
I would agree with you Kev.

4.) 14 Jul 2021 15:45:47
Sell him like fair play he played on last season but that’s only because he was promised he’d get his move this summer.

5.) 14 Jul 2021 15:52:23
Any names?

6.) 14 Jul 2021 15:56:42
£15m? Bite their hand off! He only has a year left on contract just aswell I’m not in charge of club finances I would of thought half that would of been fair given his contract status and mediocre performances last season.
Personally I wouldn’t believe that a £15m bud was imminent as £12m was apparently Norwich’s asking price, time will tell.

7.) 14 Jul 2021 16:02:02
Bye then Kris, good luck .

8.) 14 Jul 2021 16:05:44
Would maybe make sense why the Starfelt deal was off and back on again as maybe Ajer is outbound fairly soon?

9.) 14 Jul 2021 16:23:27
Take it all day 👍.

10.) 14 Jul 2021 17:23:58
Great return with a year left on his deal.

11.) 14 Jul 2021 18:37:55
The boy has been brilliant for us and fought for the jersey. He wants a new challenge and three times the wages won't hurt either. Good luck to you son and thank you.

12.) 14 Jul 2021 18:49:06
Taxi for Ajer 🤔.

13.) 14 Jul 2021 20:40:23
Agreed, take the money now as it pays for the 4 players that look like coming in as well as a chunk of their wages.

Thank you to the big man and we move onto a new chapter.

14.) 15 Jul 2021 09:28:43
I am with you on this one magicpole hh.

14 Jul 2021 08:19:47
Done deal for Starfelt. 5m euro.

1.) 14 Jul 2021 11:00:59
That sounds like good news 👍.
The rags are reporting we've put in bids for both Soppy and Boey (LB and RB) from Rennes as well as the Israeli winger Abada.

2.) 14 Jul 2021 11:50:21
I didn't realise they was opposite flanks I thought they was both RBs 😂 Good bit of business if we can tie up both on top of Starfelt and Abada.

3.) 14 Jul 2021 12:05:09
Reports they're both rbs.

4.) 14 Jul 2021 12:14:21
Both are RB.

5.) 14 Jul 2021 12:28:09
Their bringing in Beyonce and she go to the left to the left sorry.

6.) 14 Jul 2021 13:33:34
Yep, my bad - both RB'S. I'm off to specsavers!

If we sign both of them where does that leave Ralston?

7.) 14 Jul 2021 14:04:02
If/ when Starfelt (who I believe is right sided) is confirmed, we could do with a left sided CB around 6ft3/ 6ft4 to play along side him.

8.) 14 Jul 2021 15:03:40
Ralston can go play with the colts he is not good enough.

I’m sure I read that Starfelt plays as the left sided CB.

9.) 14 Jul 2021 16:07:41
Agree Pedro he's not the tallest CB but looks like he's a good ball playing CB so a bit of height beside him will complement the defence nicely.

10.) 14 Jul 2021 16:08:27
I think we have opted for him over the Croatian because although he is right footed he’s comfortable playing on the left side.

Only think I’m slightly concerned about is why he wasn’t called up to Sweden squad yet Helander was!?

11.) 14 Jul 2021 16:10:00
If we sign 2 right backs then Ralston must go on loan or a permanent transfer, we then need to punt Boli and sign a quality left back, sign Starfelt and another centre back, the Israeli winger then we just need a keeper, midfield player and depending on Eddy one or maybe 2 quality strikers .

03 Jul 2021 15:11:45
Big Ange off to a winning start. Beat Motherwell 1-0 in a friendly at lennoxtown.

1.) 03 Jul 2021 20:22:25
Auf, I didn't even know that game was happening.
A win's a win. Who scored? HH.

2.) 04 Jul 2021 07:23:18
Young bhoy Coffey.

3.) 04 Jul 2021 09:32:08
@Auf1888 yes I heard he was full of beans.

23 Jun 2021 08:45:22
Ravel Morrison free agent. Rumour flying about.

1.) 23 Jun 2021 09:12:31
He's a clown.

2.) 23 Jun 2021 09:43:00
Appreciate the rumour-mill will be in overdrive with much of it fake and fantasy, but I would sincerely hope that AP has a list of real quality targets after brushing up on our shortfalls last season?

3.) 23 Jun 2021 12:42:10
Onceabhoy, you would hope that’s the case . I’m not sure who is putting these players forward though, and how much ange has seen of them. Is he actually having the final say on these players? For instance we are linked with Carter vickers, he was on loan at Bournemouth last season and Luton before that. I can’t imagine ange had watched a lot of the championship while in China .

4.) 23 Jun 2021 12:57:23
And not a very good clown.

5.) 23 Jun 2021 14:22:47
The incompetence of this football club is hilarious if I'm honest. A disjointed recruitment set up still awaiting a head of recruitment and a director of football should have been in place months ago to provide a solid foundation to at least build upon, we go get a manager first who was simply the 2nd best that'll do cheap back up option and now it seems like the scouts are just scrambling about wherever they are providing names to the new manager and chief executive who probably have no idea of half the names brought up to them.

People always seem to praise the work peter lawwell did but if there's any evidence to argue that case then this it, he happily walked out, collected his millions and left the club in a real sh*theep with no plan to move forward.

The new manager hasn't even had a training session yet and will need at least 2 weeks to see what he's working with before deciding exactly who and what he needs and doesn't needs which will of course take time. We'll now roll into these European qualifiers disjointed and get pummelled over at the first stage, typical celtic at its best.

6.) 23 Jun 2021 16:04:57
Quinn1888 maybe he watched the championship in Japan.

7.) 23 Jun 2021 20:44:49
Possibly oldkilly, but how many games were Bournemouth on tv, and would he have been watching in the hope he got a job in Europe. If we were linked with some j league players or Aussies I’d presume they would be his picks . To me it looks like someone else, be it the old scouting networks or whatever and they are putting these players to him. To me it all seems a bit confused, it’s like he’s a coach and we have a dof arranging players, without having a dof.

8.) 24 Jun 2021 10:39:48
MarkM88 just because an article mentions we are link with this player or that doesn't mean Celtic are actually looking at them, or our scouts are the ones mentioning them. Most are from windup merchants and sh1t journos pumping sh1t out there to so that the click bait biters wet their pants and start greeting. yeah the club has let us all down and they are not best prepared for the upcoming season, but this rebuild is not going to be an overnight fix and the whole club needs to rebuild itself and that may even take a couple of seasons. Keep the Faith we will be back stronger and i think big Ange will bring the success back to Paradise. HH. Celtic through and through.

Dermot Desmond does he just see Celtic as a cash cow. Doesn't seem that concerned about the mess we are in. Sold every good football player we have had. Never bothered about Europe.

1.) 25 Jul 2021 16:12:59
I hardly ever associate DD with Celtic, day-to-day as he appears almost as rarely as Halleys Comet and we have seen/ heard very little of him since the repercussions RD's defeat to Sevco at Hamden; apart from the time he condemned supporters for the Celtic Park protests.
Last season was the perfect opportunity for him to flex his financial muscle and address the important issues dragging the club and the team to it's knees, but he chose to watch and do nothing.
I get the impression Celtic is way down his list of priorities?

2.) 25 Jul 2021 16:38:30
We will always be a selling club as financially we are a tiny club unfortunately. In terms of Europe we can only attract top drawer players if we can offer Champions League football and that is getting harder every year!

3.) 25 Jul 2021 18:39:11
onceabhoy 2 i've been shouting that desmond has lost the little feelings he had for the club and although he says its not for sale, i feel its not for sale because he knows at this time their is no chance he will get what he needs for the club if things were all rosie in the world of football and a good offer came i feel he would sell, i've heard he is going to let his son take the reigns but i doubt it, in fact i sometimes think it would be better if he sold but then i think he and his minnions have kept the club healthy, perhaps the city group but doubt it.

4.) 25 Jul 2021 18:43:07
i heard he was in scotland and went to the golf when mcelroy was here not a golfer so don't know what tournament it was, anyway i was told he didn't go anywhere near parkhead.

19 Jul 2021 15:14:57
Disgraceful Celtic are contemplating letting Griffiths represent us again.

1.) 19 Jul 2021 15:33:38
I’d have him sent packing. What’s he making a week? 14k or something like that?

He’s been a pain in the side for 3 seasons now. An utter joke of a “Professional” and an all round ass hat.

2.) 19 Jul 2021 16:21:08
He was cleared of any wrong doing, why shouldn't he be allowed to do the job he is employed to do?

3.) 19 Jul 2021 16:30:24
Not having enough evidence to criminally prosecute and being morrally corrupt are not the same think Malky!

4.) 19 Jul 2021 16:30:53
Mon the Griff.

5.) 19 Jul 2021 18:10:10
He’s a grown man and going on social media embarrassing himself time and time again while being dragged along by our football club that somehow tolerate him is just pure luck on his part. I’d have him thrown out by now, just my opinion.

6.) 19 Jul 2021 18:57:22
Morally corrupt? What are blabbing about SOS, Not enough evidence? He either did or didn't send inappropriate messages, the messages would've been there in black and white so it isn't a case of enough evidence or not! He was cleared of any wrong doing which means he didn't do anything which broke the law👍.

15 Jul 2021 07:58:03
Enjoying watching Big Ange football philosophy developing. Get the correct players in and its the potential to be very successful.

1.) 15 Jul 2021 11:39:59
Agree with you AUF1888, if Ange can get the right players in to suit his style of play, one and two touch football at pace, it should be good to watch.

2.) 15 Jul 2021 11:40:09
Ye I like his style says as it is type I like that. He's Def his own man the players are doing it his way. Let's see who else our department of football scouts get us.
I know it's friendlys but we look gd.

3.) 15 Jul 2021 13:03:44
Like his style as well just need to create more, but once we get the squad build finished hopefully that comes.

4.) 15 Jul 2021 13:23:45
It’s too hard to judge anything playing the likes of Sheff Wed, Charlton and Bristol City - all very very poor teams.

Let’s be realistic here Ange wasn’t given enough time to get prepared for Midtjylland, it’s a massive step up in quality and the majority of the players who have played so far are not ready for this at all.

The starting 11 on Saturday will likely be the same 11 to play on Tuesday, hopefully we can get something from the game and any new signings can help in the 2nd leg.

5.) 15 Jul 2021 13:43:55
The Title is the only thing that matters this season. The board can bite the bullet on European money, they created the problem.
The manager should be judged on 2 transfer windows and the title back, that’s his measurable targets, if he doesn’t make it then off he goes.

6.) 15 Jul 2021 20:36:26
Auf have to agree mate, watched the game last night, first time i seen the team under Ange and i was very impressed with what was on show, we tailed off with about 20mins to go but that will be down to fitness and the subs coming on, i do believe and have said it to a few work mates, if he gets backed and gets the right players, players he wants, i can see us giving out a good few skelpings this season. HH.

Poll please Season book Renewing yes / no.

People will have various views. Was wondering if the % was same as other Celtic forum's.

Can you do a poll on season book renewals. Seen it on another forum and was wondering if it's the same response.

{Ed033's Note - What is the Question and voting options?

1.) 12 Jun 2021 18:12:18
I had a moan and said I wasn’t renewing but I have I will give the new man my full backing. We need to get behind the new manager it’s not his doing he’s walking into a rubbish show.

Laugh at the fag paper accounting from supporters. C.V. effected Celtic finances. No European ticket sale money, no merchandise or catering. The 3 million in refunds the support got reimbursed. The list goes on.
It's not as simple as. We sold x, y and x amount and have only bought z for x amount.

Never really get (i don't care what they did brigade) .
Forster, Griffiths, Ntcham the list goes on but people forgive the way they treated us in the past.
Feck everyone of them it's a privilege to wear the hoops. We shouldn't be bending over backwards to accommodate people who have treated us poorly in the past.

Big Forster is renowned for being glued to his line. Would he suit Big Ange style of football. If we are looking at a new goalkeeper would prefer one that can play the system and is committed to Celtic.

You have been watching Celtic/ football long enough. Even if we woke up tomorrow and have 6 new players. We all know.
1 Not all will work out
2 It will take them time to get up to speed.
3 Take time to learn what the manager wants.
4 Will they settle in Glasgow over night. How many good players have took time to settle
5 The world of C.V. will make isolation a real challenge

We start competitively in the league in 6 days. Less than a month before we go to Ibrox. We are in a very bad way and no wishful thinking is going to change it.

I know Barkas isn't the long term solution but today wasn't on him. The new system Ange is playing will take time and his players to make it work. Was scary the room on the wings WH were getting with our full backs moving inside.
Not defending Barkas but he was shouting at defence today. We were laughing about it at game.
