Ange and the team get the much-needed away win and to fill the boring gap before our next game, I have just read DD is thinking about appointing Shevchenko as manager?! Don't know who's worse Sevco Media or the Lanarkshire Mafia.
Back in the day, Sir Bob or Big Jock would be calling these fuds to account, shriveling ego's, black balling culprits and watching the wet patches appear on breeks.
The next CEO needs to have balls.

We need to find a bit of form after the break, tough away ties at motherwell and a much improved hibs, play like sun and we'll be lucky to pick up full points, we used to do what sevco are doing without the elp of the bros and win ugly.

2.) 05 Oct 2021 12:48:59
Mally i said on Sunday after the game that I thought we were average. Having watched the game again it was impossible to play the way we wanted due to a referee who was hell bent in stopping us going forward by awarding the much talked about 27 fouls against us, no team could play to their strengths with that amount of stoppages and still don’t know why Turnbull was booked.

3.) 05 Oct 2021 13:41:50
Slippy called out a ref (can't remember who) after a game and the ref never got put in charge of one of there games for months, Why can't we do the same?

Although if we did the ref that we called out would probably be in charge of every second game.

4.) 05 Oct 2021 14:11:42
Jonbhoy71 I believe it was Collum and Clancy both never had a sevco game for many months Buzz Bomb will be able to confirm it was those two.

5.) 05 Oct 2021 14:25:15
I think if we call out referees they just go on strike! Maybe not such a bad idea! Would be interested to know how rangers faired during the referee strike!

6.) 05 Oct 2021 23:26:29
I think you are being too kind to Jota, I think he is brilliant, him and a fully fit Kyogo, will run riot against anyone, but those fouls given against him, were because he underestimated Ramsay, and when Ramsay beat him, he couldn't resist clipping Ramsay's heels, cheap and easy fouls, but still fouls,

7.) 06 Oct 2021 13:02:57
Some of his fouls, you are 100% right Aindoh but every time Ramsey was touched, he went down like a blow up doll with a puncture. We are heading towards “non contact football for attacking players but defenders can be all over you at corners etc. My other pet hate is defenders blocking to allow the ball to run out of play, anywhere else on the pitch, that is obstruction. If a defender is allowed to block, the attacker should be allowed to boot him up in the air.

Knew there'd be some negativity after the game, but the players got the win we needed in a similar game to the one Ajer scored in, Feb 2020 when we won by the same score - with a much more settled, experienced team.
Obviously there are things the manager, players and support want to see improved, or even changed but take the three points at a difficult ground against a team fighting for survival, officiated over by a Hungarian and even though any momentum will be hampered by yet another 'national break; we start all over again at Fir Park in a fortnight. COYBIG.

Yep no issues with that, poor but 3 points that's the facts.

2.) 03 Oct 2021 15:30:50
It would be great if Ange can find two central defenders from the J-League with the same enthusiasm and attitude as Kyogo as we certainly need them.

Hail Hail
???.

3.) 03 Oct 2021 16:00:58
I think Starfelt is the weaker player in the defence But a win is a win.

4.) 03 Oct 2021 16:09:08
Just watched the game again and for me Hart is getting an easy ride as he is to casual and slow with getting rid of the ball.
Hail Hail
???.

5.) 03 Oct 2021 16:31:04
Thought we couldn't win ugly.

6.) 03 Oct 2021 16:36:44
He's a slow motion accident waiting to happen. boot it, pass it, do something with it.

7.) 03 Oct 2021 17:22:56
We can all see there's work to be done, players still required to come in and a few that need to go the other way but until that happens it's about getting 3pts.

Hail Hail ☘?☘.

8.) 03 Oct 2021 17:33:16
OAB I'm glad the international break has come. We've a few big players close to returning and this break will give them time to work on their fitness and hopefully have them ready for the motherwell game.
Just need to keep our fingers cross all the players away with they countries come back safe and sound.

9.) 03 Oct 2021 19:21:23
Nick Walsh has refereed 7 Rangers matches and shown a red card to the other team in 6 of those games.

Say’s it all. Porteous tackle was not as bad as Fuch’s tackle on McCarthy last week, but he still gets a red card.

Hail Hail
???.

10.) 03 Oct 2021 20:23:58
Not long back from game and although we were poor especially 2nd half I’ll take 3 points any day as this could be the springboard we need. Hopefully jullien forrest and juranovic are back soon and we stay in it till additions in January?.

Hope to see the back of Eddy and Christie before Tuesday and Ange has to realize how soft and fragile we are all over the park. Changes were obviously needed at the start of the second 45 as there were players and positions that were very weak.
McGregor needs more protection and it's been apparent for years we've too many lightweight ball-players, but lack battlers/ tacklers.
Painful reminder, that when silky play fails and it comes down to a battle, we will be second best.
Two days left to barter and deal to get the balance right.
It was a disappointment in a game we created a lot but failed to score and that is happening far to much when we play them. There were a few very good performances, but the result will deflect from that. Montgomery looks a real gem btw.

Always hated SLY because of their biased anti-Celtic coverage and their contempt of Scottish football in general (barring Slippy's Sevco) . However, the BBC are 'coming up on the rails', whether it's Thomson or Stewart and their summaries on Celtic through gritted teeth and pain; so obvious for all to see.

1.) 22 Aug 2021 07:22:20
I think Thompson and Stewart are the most even handed impartial pundits on any TV format covering scottish football. yes at times as celtic fans they'll say things we don't like or disagree with but I've never felt as if either has had an agenda or bias against us.

2.) 22 Aug 2021 07:49:10
I agree deep river, I would also as much as it pains me put barry fergusson in the same bracket. He is always fair and trys his best to be impartial. I enjoy watching boyd greet though.

3.) 22 Aug 2021 11:14:30
micheal stewart is very fair when it comes to us.

4.) 22 Aug 2021 11:47:53
I like Stewart he's not afraid to say it how it is and is usually fair in his criticism and judgement. It's the ex bun pundits that can't be anything other than anti-Celtic. If anything, Stewart has been more than full of praise for how well we are playing and how good a job Ange is doing.

5.) 22 Aug 2021 14:09:48
I agree with Michael Stewart being pretty fair but I can’t agree with him saying the red card was wrong.

Glad to see him going for Turnbull (or Rogic) as both together doesn't work. Very good team and strong bench. COYBIG.

At least we are well covered defensive, but the injuries just keep coming and it makes you wonder why? It can't all be bad luck; can it?

Happy to see Jota starting after the injury scare. The first 11 should definitely have enough about them to get the win as the bench is very short of game-changers if we needed it?

Possibly the strongest side he could have put out, while keeping enough on the bench if the need arises?

It's obvious we are short of players in key areas, but a few of the squad that are available, are all experienced and capable, if they give 100% and help the new signings and younger guys settle-in. McCarthy is overdue a performance and as long as Bitton is away from the back four he could also do a job. It's also high time MJ made up for lost time and took the pressure off Abada who is struggling.
Hopefully, Giakoumakis is close to making his debut as well?
I have posted before about the injuries and shortages, but we need every player that is lucky enough to be here to dig-in and perform with the same effort and drive as the regulars have shown 'til now.

I think we are now giving the honest mistake merchants less opportunity to penalize us with persistent stoppages and award soft fouls, but I'm sure it will happen again -especially away from home. Unfortunately, open-season on kicking Celtic players without due reprimand or punishment is another matter and unless Celtic call them out, it will see the injury list appearing again.

Remember it well. In our deluded teenage over-confidence about Celtic in those heady days during 9-in-a-row and 2 EC finals we were convinced The Celts would turn it around in the second half; such was the ability and class of the team we had. However 'King' Kenny's goal was the only consolation - Meanwhile, taxi loads of blue-noses arrived at Hamden (when the gates were left open in every ground after an hour or so) , leaving their own game at HT to witness a team that could actually beat Celtic during big Jock's reign.

Still think this group is a step too far during such a shake-up, although the experience will help the young players.
Personally, I will be more than happy with a decent domestic season.

I agree and think the poor fitness levels that have been questioned in the past have now been fully addressed throughout the squad and the system we play is now second nature; plus of course we are very close to having a full compliment and that allows a strong settled team and a good quality bench to call upon.
