PSG, have been crowned Ligue 1 Champions.

12 points clear, it makes sense, Liverpool are 25 points clear, we’re 13 points clear, it makes sense to call the leagues, no football will be played anytime soon. The only club who will argue that they could win the league is the sevvies, even though they admitted the league was over and wanted gerrard out the door.

2.) 03 May 2020 21:39:28
I wouldn’t be surprised if Liverpool were not awarded title without winning on pitch . Despite their massive league they haven’t won league in about 30 yrs they could slip up again and their lack of winning experience could tell on them.
We have won it 8 yrs in a row and it is 2nd nature for us to win league.

3.) 13 May 2020 02:33:18
old man Chris. absolutely no way Liverpool could throw away that lead, it's practically impossible. They deserve their much deserved title just as much as we do. If neither happen then it's an absolute travesty and both would be deserving of answers.

St. Johnstone are now only one win away from winning our domestic cup double.
Apart from Celtic and the old Rangers club,
Aberdeen are the only other club to have won the domestic cup double.
Aberdeen achieved the cup double in 1986 and 1990.
They beat Hibs 3-0 in the LC final and Hearts 3-0 in the SC final in 1986.
In the 1989/ 90 season Aberdeen defeated Rangers 2-1 AET in the LC final and then in the SC final they beat Celtic 9-8 on penalties after a goalless draw to once again lift the cup double.

I have read elsewhere that The Daily Record are saying that David Turnbull could receive a ban for something that happened during last nights game, are the Record doing there bit so he misses the Derby game with Sevco, if they are so interested in things that have happened l would be interested to hear of there coverage of the Sevco C.V. idiots that are still being allowed to play, or is that getting played down.

1.) 22 Apr 2021 14:11:28
He booted a ss player it was handbags, let's hope it takes 67 days and counting to process.

2.) 22 Apr 2021 14:49:02
I hope talk of British league system happens as there is no chance any staff at SFA will get away with indiscretions they have of late due to a merger between all FA's.

3.) 22 Apr 2021 18:13:23
Not so sure the biased and corruption would cease if there was a British League and we were to join? You just have to look at SLY and the other English, union jack flying establishments to see that.

4.) 22 Apr 2021 18:54:04
If everyone is being honest and if it had happened to a Celtic player we would all have been screaming for a red card.
He Was very lucky to stay on the park.

5.) 22 Apr 2021 21:34:40
I thought it was unlike Turnbull, if the ref sees it then it's a red card/ red card 🤔.

6.) 22 Apr 2021 22:07:52
It was a red card all day long.

Oldkilly, l used to go to St Mary's Primary, then Columba High, l lived at Dundyvan Rd where the Bowling Green is, moved to Shawhead in 1970,then Whifflet St about 1986,great view of the Big Tree Bar, fun and games when the orange walk passed by.

glen80768

1.) 12 Feb 2021 14:59:35
I played for Columba High when we won the Scottish Shield U18s at Hampden in 1991.

2.) 12 Feb 2021 15:13:18
glen80768 St Augustines changed its name to St Edmunds after I left then it was Columba High great school and teachers. Two players from our school team went on to do well, Francis Burns who was in the Man Utd European Cup winning squad and Billy Hughes from the Sunderland FA cup winning team I was right back in that team at school happy days.

3.) 12 Feb 2021 15:51:44
We used to have a teacher at Columba High called Mr Reid built like a brick rubbish house, you would not want the belt off him, The Headmaster when l was there was Eddie Cairns, l had a gym teacher called MrLavin, the girls had a gym teacher called Miss Lyons, there were 2 teachers called Colgan they were called Colgan A, and Colgan B.

4.) 12 Feb 2021 16:30:16
I know a loads of people that went to Columba and a few teachers. Hugh O’Neil taught history there he’s long retired now. He played golf with ma uncle. Ma cousins went there, the Glen’s.

5.) 12 Feb 2021 16:35:37
Stephbhoy81 would your cousin be Arthur Glen who I know very well, I used to run a youth club with him.

6.) 12 Feb 2021 17:14:30
No mate my cousins are in there 50’s. John and Brian and their brother Steph died fifteen years ago. I don’t know if they’ve got any relation called Arthur, not that I know of.

7.) 12 Feb 2021 19:23:27
Our geography teacher at st pat’s owned the Celtic shop in the main st. He had us down there at the opening and a young Charlie Nicholas was signing autographs.

8.) 12 Feb 2021 20:50:35
Before John McFall MP was into politics, he was a school teacher nicknamed left hook.

I was on Phil Coles bus a few times, many moons ago, used to also go to the Celtic Games with Stevie Kearney, a gentleman if ever there was one, he had Kearneys Newsagents at Whifflet, also Travelled with wee Hugo, who had a hairdressers at Calder St, and Gordon Canavan, great days watching Glasgow Celtic.

glen80768

1.) 12 Feb 2021 13:18:14
Gordon is still kicking about, he had a few boozers himself in Coatbridge and one of them was an Irish pub.
Phil Cole’s only run a mini bus now but at one time it one of the largest supporters clubs for years.

2.) 12 Feb 2021 13:43:02
glen80768 wee Hugo was in my class all through primary and secondary school (St Augustines) his brothers and sister still live where I’m from, I also know Gordon very well what a guy he is Celtic through and through, take care guys.

3.) 12 Feb 2021 13:43:06
I have spoken to Gordon over the years at St Patrick's Church, we still talk about Celtic and it is good to see him.

4.) 12 Feb 2021 13:43:23
Phil had a double decker with the pole at the back. Pensioners and weans would sometimes get free travel.

5.) 12 Feb 2021 14:14:06
Are all you boys from Coatbridge? I was hearing Mass from St Pats during lockdown and when I went to confession when restrictions were lifted I told Fr Sweeney I’d been watching him from across the border in Airdrie. Some craic.

6.) 12 Feb 2021 14:38:11
Kearney with a nose bigger than pinocchio? The best day at the whifflet was when we stopped Sevco doing 10 in a row. Traffic jams in all directions, Carsons shut, Mounted police, helicopter and not 1 bit of bother. It was like everybody from all over was down the whifflet that day.

7.) 12 Feb 2021 14:46:40
I thought Carson’s got turned over that day.
Carson’s done the huddle at the roundabout, after they beat us at Ibrox to go top of the league by one goal with only 4 games to go.
The morning Celtic stopped the 10,I heard the pub was getting turned over win, lose or draw.

8.) 12 Feb 2021 15:16:43
JFP1888 I’m not from Coatbridge i only went to school there.

9.) 12 Feb 2021 16:31:59
Oldkilly where do you hail from?

10.) 12 Feb 2021 16:37:27
JFP1888 I’m from Glenboig still their after 72 years.

11.) 12 Feb 2021 17:15:34

12.) 12 Feb 2021 17:18:24

13.) 12 Feb 2021 17:35:29

14.) 12 Feb 2021 17:54:48

Oldkilly, small world.
My gran took me to your mums house every summer.
I can remember loads of cream cakes.
And your dad would kick a ball about in your garden.
Your mum must be in her 90s.
I hope she’s keeping well.

17.) 12 Feb 2021 18:28:20
Oldkilly
I phoned my mum to tell her.
She said you always looked after my gran when she stayed in Kirk Street because she was a single mum.
It will be a laugh the next time I see you.

18.) 12 Feb 2021 18:49:34
BuzzBomb10 my mother was 93 last week she is doing ok considering her age and it’s still the same regarding cream cakes, there are more in the house than there is in Christie’s, I’m guessing your mum is Anne, and I was always close to your gran a wonderful woman who worked miracles when she was widowed with 8 children god rest her soul.

19.) 12 Feb 2021 19:01:24
My gran and your mum are great women.
I’m Margaret and John’s son.
The last time I seen you was at Kathleen and William’s funerals.
My mum said you were always my gran’s favourite.

20.) 12 Feb 2021 19:26:27
Buzz I hope the next time I see you it’s not a family funeral it was sad that we lost Kathleen and William pass on my my regards to your mum and dad and both are well. Keep up the great stats take care and god bless.

21.) 12 Feb 2021 19:34:48
My sister married Kevin Campbell from Kirk st. Their son is Kevin Barry Campbell who now lives in Torquay. They lived beside the Broons and his cousin Jim Dick lived across the road.

Celtic could play Abada up front, with Christie playing behind him, Christie also looking for a move, might manage to get a couple of goals to help with any possible transfer for Celtic and himself.

It just goes to show you that there is a very poor standard of refferee in Scottish football, over the years celtic footballers have been assaulted on the football field and the refferees do nothing about it, what will it take before the directors of Celtic voice there opinions and protect Celtic players from assault which is happening in most games.
