Just seen that's the lad Leo Hjelde away to Leeds undisclosed fee. Wish he stuck around as i feel big Ange would of been the manager to give him his chance at some point during the season.

@SW1982, I've also seen a report they could be loaning him back to us, seems a bit strange when he's not getting near the first team.

2.) 27 Aug 2021 15:44:40
Guys forget him I have, just another wee greedy so and so chasing the money if these kids have talent and are patient the big bucks will come to them.

3.) 27 Aug 2021 16:03:11
Murray looks better.

4.) 27 Aug 2021 18:53:29
Timalloy do you no him personally to cry him out for chasing the money, maybe he believes he can make it to the first team and play in the premiership, not everyone has grew up supporting Celtic. Everytime a young prospect leave it's all there just chasing money, I say good luck to them regardless wat level the make it at.

Just read what our manager said after the game when asked about sevco dropping points, if he has been quoted correctly it is some answer, "Well, I thought the Premiership race was over, mate, so I'm not looking at the table any more" Got to love big Ange.

Hi Ed you'll know with my past post that I'm not one for reading the rags or paying attention to the Scottish media with regards to Celtic, but what is your take with regards to the Dom McKay situation? I'll be honest I'm shocked to have seen the stories as i could see the direction in which he was trying to take the club.

SW1982

{Ed007's Note - It's an odd one for me mate. When it was announced, the wording and timing of it made me think that there were serious health concerns for McKay or a family member but the more that's coming out it doesn't look like that's the case.
McKay leaving came as a surprise and if there was problems behind the scenes it's been kept REALLY quiet which is an even bigger surprise.
After employing a specialist recruitment company, how did we get to make a "wrong fit" appointment? After going through the recruitment process, working with Lawwell and navigating through the Eddie Howe fiasco, appointing Ange and getting us through a very good transfer window why did it take so long for our major shareholder and CEO to decide they couldn't work together?
There's been murmurings that DD didn't feel McKay was dynamic enough and that he was out of his depth as Celtic CEO, who's fault is that then and again why did it take so long to find out?
Apparently there is going to be changes in the boardroom as well as the expected changes to the structure of the Club - Ange said they would be looking at everything else when the window closes - and now that that is happening it looks like McKay's vision and plans weren't up to scratch for DD.
Much to the disappointment of many fans it had absolutely nothing to do with Peter Lawwell or the fact WGS is coming in for 3 months - a move McKay backed and welcomed - it was down to DD and McKay not being able to work together and DD's decision that the job was too big(?) for McKay.}

1.) 11 Sep 2021 15:28:02
Perhaps Dom was too timid for the role, maybe he didn't have the cutting edge the club were looking for. And that begs the question Mark asked about how did they get it so wrong?
We've had an accountant calling the shots for 17 years, now we have a lawyer in the position on a temporary basis. Perhaps the club should start looking for someone who actually understands football and has a grasp of the ins and outs of the game.
Who that would be is anyone's guess but surely it has to be a person who can bring some knowledge and experience to the decisions they're being asked to make. You wouldn't ask a dentist to run a plumbing business. HH.

Ed been seeing a lot of people on here saying about remarks or comments by young Frimpong, what was said?

SW1982

{Ed007's Note - I'm not really sure, something about his demands not being met apparently.}

1.) 28 Jan 2021 17:30:36
Young players even making demands is a new concept on me and I can't get my head around it. They don't seem to appreciate the opportunities and privileges they are given compared to millions of other youngsters who less fortunate and probably more deserving?
Gone are the days of the 'young-team' cleaning the boots and sweeping up the terracing at Celtic Park hoping to catch a break for the honour to wear The Hoops. Ah well he wasn't here long enough to be missed and I wonder what demands he will have for the German manager?

2.) 28 Jan 2021 17:48:14
Conflicting reports Davis deal pre contract no done yet according to Alison Conroy.

3.) 28 Jan 2021 18:17:06
I remember the old Harry Rednap story of him being stopped by a “”Young Kid “wearing a 50grand Rolex and a chain of gold that he couldn’t say how much it was worth, on the stairs inside white hart lane. The Kid said “ I believe you are not giving me the attention or the opportunity in the first team that I deserve” Harry said “ Who are you Son”.

4.) 28 Jan 2021 19:26:26
getting a young player to clean boots would probably classed as bullying nowadays by many.

5.) 28 Jan 2021 19:40:03
I thought we had signed Davis from Preston. butvwe haven't and now Bournemouth have entered to sign him. typical transfer window for us who is going to arrive with lennon in charge.

{Ed007's Note - Bournemouth have always been interested in Davies and if he does sign for us will you say he's signed because he wants to work under Lennon?}

6.) 28 Jan 2021 19:43:10
Cheers Ed, ridiculous if true, yeah he has fantastic potential but needs to remember his place and his age and that he's still a good bit away from being close to the finished article. Well good luck to the lad.

Onceabhoy completely agree with what you said at the end with regards to wearing the mighty hoops. id cut off my right arm to for the privilege to pull that jersey on and run out in front of those fans, some who wear it will never understand!

{Ed007's Note - As I said on another thread about young players, they want too much too soon and get ideas above their station as soon as they've got a few quid in their pocket with far too many of them not willing to put in the graft needed to become a top player.
Look at Larsson, Ronaldo (CR7), your Cantonas and Zidanes, even the original pop star footballer David Beckham spent hours on the training ground after training to hone their skills. Youngsters should be training with the intensity we've seen from the likes of Brown & KT with the attitude that "I might never have the technical ability of Ronaldo but there's no reason why I can't strive to be as fit as him." That's a good base to start your career from imo take on that responsibility for themselves instead of doing the bare minimum that the Club set.
I don't want Roy Keane 💚Peace be upon him💚 near the Celtic manager's job but I sure wouldn't mind him being a coach with a modern technically astute manager.}

7.) 28 Jan 2021 19:51:25
do you think we will get deal done ed007 seems like a good player and one we should not miss out on.

{Ed007's Note - It'll be down to the player mate. Contrary to popular belief not every failed transfer is the fault of Lawwell, Lennon or the new lighting system.}

8.) 28 Jan 2021 19:50:20
Ed did his buddy the other Ben not move from PNE to Bournemouth? If so that could be a factor and maybe Neil isn’t totally to blame for the economic crash, current health crisis and climate change?

{Ed007's Note - Ben Pearson left PNE for Bournemouth.}

9.) 28 Jan 2021 20:26:41
Ed thanks 👍.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

10.) 28 Jan 2021 22:43:06
Beckham is massively underrated by a lot of people because of his marriage and the magazine shoots etc. but you don't have the career he had unless you're a World class player and have put in an awful lot of graft. If Frimpong put in a tenth of the time on crossing that Beckham did on free kicks then he'd be fantastic.

Thanks for the reply Mark, appreciate it, sorry I've taken so long to acknowledge your response hectic life. From what you have said he sounds like an exciting prospect, i seen the boys interview he seems level headed and knows there is a challenge ahead of him. See that's the thing with Taylor I'm mixed with him, i like him as he digs in and gives 100% but for me he needs to be 2nd choice so I'm really hoping Scales can adapt to the new surroundings and kick on, but with what he said in his interview he seems to settle quickly so he can kick on with what he needs to do. For someone I'd never heard of until we were linked with him, I'm excited to see him in the team. got a sneaky feeling he may well be on the bench at the weekend, probably more hope than anything. Again thanks for the info Ed much appreciated, also thank you Paul, keep up the fantastic work bhoys. HH 🍀🍀.

Mally seen that yesterday as did you, tuned in today hoping he'd of made the bench and there would be a chance of getting a glimpse of him, don't know too much about the lad. Paul, Mark (Ed) I've tried to listen to as many podcasts as possible and not sure if this question was covered in any of them, but what kind of player is he? I know he's a LB/ LCB but does he fit the style Ange wants to play, where do you see him playing, at LB or LCB? And more importantly is he ready to dislodge Taylor if LB is to be his position? Sorry for all the questions. Also big shout to Michael, hope you get fit and well again bud my thoughts and prayers are with you for the speediest of recoveries. 🙏🙏🍀🍀HH.

SW1982

{Paul's notes - SW1982, Scales is a 6ft 4in left sided player who can play CB,LB and LWB. Scales has been playing ina LWB position for Shamrock Rovers but in his early years he was CB for UCD and only moved to left Back due to injuries in defence. Rovers noticed that Scales was a very skillful player with great speed and continued to use Scales on the Left side ina a more advanced role in LWB. Though Skill is 6ft 4 SW,his speed is unbelievable and ball control is excellent. He can also chip in with goals and most of his are with his feet believe it or not. Ange likes his LWB to be able to keep up with the speed of the game going forward but also be able to get and defend and Scales will do the job here. Taylor's only downfall was he wasn't able to do this because of his lack of pace. Scales will need a few sessions training with Ange to get up to speed with Ange as I feel it's a big step from LOI football. But we have seen already Ange putting players right into the team so it wouldn't surprise me if he did. But I think myself Scales will need to get fitter and more training with Ange Ange before we see him. Ppl say we haven't signed a left sided player and I kept saying we have in Scales . Ange said himself Scales is a talent and a very versatile player and will become a star in the future for Celtic. Is he better than Taylor, I would say yes but I think it might be awhile before we see Scales SW. In time he will dislodge Taylor

Mally seen him a couple of weeks ago, i was very impressed by him, can't remember what age he is but I'm sure he's under 17 years old, he is definitely one for the future and one we need to have a clear plan for or we could lose him to a Bayern type team where they can offer him a clearer pathway to the first team.
