Anyone know much about who is behind indycelts blog, I quite like it but it reposts a lot of CQN stuff which imo is just a fluffer account for Lawwell.

Well that's the window closed and we can get back to the football, not really thought much about the Glasgow derby because of it.
Ed thanks for your efforts and insight which was spot on as usual.
Back in 2018 Peter Lawwell stated our aim was to come out of every window stronger than it started, what he omitted to add was he meant financially, once again he was true to his word. Spoken like a true bean counter.
On the field have we strengthened?
Goalkeeper
Hart gone - Kaspar in Sinisalo in, yes we have, I think Kasper is a slight upgrade on Joe and now we have decent back up.
Defence.
Kobi gone kept CCV - Trusty in left back cover so again I think we are stronger.
Midfield
MOR our best player sold for English gold, Iwata gone who I always thought was very tidy however in Brendan we trust - Engels and McCowan in imo we are now weaker in that key area.
Attack
Oh gone and no change in wingers so definitely weaker but not significantly.
All in all slightly stronger but not nearly enough for a club with 100mil in the bank and an exciting CL season to look forward to.

I'm in agreement, the board and recruitment should have put us in a superior position considering how much cash we have.
If the board are keeping the money for something else, then they should be transparent and tell us.

Thanks to however on here recommended "the battle to save Celtic " podcasts on U Tube.
First three with Matt McGlone, David Low and Jimmy Orr were all fascinating, the fourth with old board member Tom Grant not so much, not looking forward to Episode 5 as that is with wee shug and you just know the only thing he will talk about is himself.
All in all a must listen for Celtic fans of my vintage. BTTSTB.

Now that the Idah deal is very close our pathetic negotiating team should get it over the line on transfer deadline day.
Happy with the signing and the fee however this leaves us in exactly the same position as cup final day, we have not moved forward one inch.
Given that Brendan texted Kasper and the other two players were on loan that means our recruitment team has spent all summer doing sfa or more likely Brendan has said no to anyone the have scouted, that makes them unfit for purpose and they should be replaced.
We still need the four quality players Brendan has been asking for and rather than moaning about 9.5m being too much I would spend that on each of the four players although how are we going to survive with only 50m in the bank.
Finally if the board don't make this happen each of them should go and be replaced with younger people with fresh ideas.
Finally finally we should give them an absolute roasting on Sunday.

The reason we may have paid over the odds is that because we didn't have a loan to buy fee negotiated.

And the reason we didn't have a loan to buy was bcoz Norwich refused to have 1, hence the only reason we got him in January, it was a big gamble by NorwIch as Idah could’ve bombed up here then not worth muc, thankfully he didn't that's why mb paid a bit more, whereas Bernardo didn't set the heather on fire and that's why we got him £2n cheaper than 1st negotiated, swings and roundabouts ??♂️.

I said last week we would only bring in Idah this window, now I'm not even sure we will do that.
I am sure we will sell MOR and any anyone who thinks we have a plan to replace him hasn't been paying attention, this was highlighted by Kasper when he revealed he got a text from Brendan after the Euros out of the blue which meant our recruitment team and board had done sfa since February.
It's high time the board felt our frustration and unrest.
Spoken before about Lawwell and I don't care if is he is in full control or minimum influence he is a divisive figure past retirement age and needs gone.

Lawwell must love fans like you, sure this squad will win the league but CalMac will get ripped apart in CL again and I dread to think what decent players will do to Scales, Kilmarnock weren’t even pressing us yesterday and he gave the ball away 7 times.
