Bologna might now want him but I'm confident he'll be good for us. Got a bit of physical presence about him. Pretty happy with this one, hopefully there's an option to buy.

On 30 June 2023, his loan contract with Heerenveen expired. A return to Bologna for the 2023–24 Serie A season has currently seen Van Hooijdonk attribute zero goals and zero assists in nine appearances.
So hasn't scored this season. My point is we have 10s of millions and this is the best our recruitment can come up with.

It looks bad with Zero goals in 9 appearances.
But Sydney has only played 212 minutes in those 9 league matches and he’s only started one league game.
Sydney has actually scored for Bologna in an Italian Cup match.
It’s also the only time he’s played 90 minutes this season.
I suppose his lack of game time isn’t ideal, considering we would love a striker to hit the ground running.

He's only played about 200 minutes so it's a wee bit misleading. He was bombed out because of a falling out with the manager but maybe if he was good enough that wouldn't have happened. I take your point but he's good a decent pedigree.

Why are we even looking at a project? That’s the question. It’s another cheapskate punt. Our board Jesus h. The biggest threat to our club and they just awarded themselves pay rises. Sums them up to a tee. As long as money goes into their pockets, they don’t give a monkeys. And we can’t get rid of any of them. They have stitched up the shares and we are helpless to kick their pockets incompetent arses into touch.
