If I had a preference to what positions we need to look at ( NOT THAT I HAVE) in this window 1st would be a new striker then 2nd right side winger 3rd a left back 4th goalkeeper no way will we bring in 4 new players more so of the quality we need in this window. But that is what I would look for in order of What I think we need.

Are you happy with the left back position Bhoy88? It's just my opinion but I think most teams target the left side more than the right I wonder why?

I'm not happy with the whole defensive set up. When we had Joso CCV Starfelt I hoped we could build a stronger defensive unit with another 1 or 2 quality defenders. Then JJ and Starfelt left and we have regressed rapidly.

Scales could cover at Lb if Taylor got injured. No need to spend money on a LB when A) we have cover and B) we should be looking to our youth squads to develop our own when we have sufficient cover?.

Putting this season's CB mainstay at LB when we have umpteen millions in the bank to sign one would be ridiculous. So ridiculous, in fact, I could see Celtic doing exactly that.

It isn't ridiculous though Kev is it? It would only be the case in terms of injuries and suspensions. Perhaps this way we wouldn't lose our best talents like Doak who leave because our fans want a " name" as squad depth!

It absolutely is ridiculous. We need to improve on Greg Taylor regardless of any young players coming through. Bernabei is for the off so Taylor and the young lads can fight it out to compete with the new number one.

Again I ask why do we need a new number 1 left back when Taylor has been an absolute standout since he signed!

For the simple reason that he hasn't been an absolute standout since he signed, not even close. Before Ange came along he looked like a Kilmarnock player in a Celtic shirt. Ange's system really suited him and he was greatly improved. This season, he's reverted to type and should be upgraded if we are a proper football club with ambitions of being as good as we can be.

Bhoy88 we need a new LB because our current one is too small, too slow, too scared to go tight to his man because he knows he doesn't have the pace and is regularly caught out of position. Sure he always gives his all and is a decent SPL standard player but if we are looking to improve a position in the team then i'd start here.

if Taylor is the best we've got at LB, then we really do have problems.
He had his best two seasons under Ange but for me he's an easy target to exploit for decent opposing teams.
I'm going to type it and await the 'feedback', Taylor on his best day, playing a blinder inc MOTM is still not even close to KT on a bad day.

Did I hear someone suggesting that Taylor supported Rangers before he started school . IMO that is enough for some fans to be slow to appreciate just how well he plays . It should be noticeable that neither NL, Ange nor BR have so far made it a priority to sign a better lB.
Again, I might be wrong but if he was allowed to decide what position to fill I think that the, tea boy, Head of Recritment, would be trying to sign a better lB
It is a group of people with diverse employment positions that seem to want an upgrade . Celtic probably put the tea boy to Head Recruitment, hoping he would be working from same hymn sheets as many on Celtic forums.
