Ambrosini an Italian striker at Napoli is in talks over a loan move with an option to buy.
1.) 07 Jul 2025 16:20:00
Optionn to buy?
I never noticed that, 21yrs old, Under 21 Italian International, and has come through the Napoli academy.
Has anyone seen this lad play? ?
☘️ ☘️ ☘️.
2.) 08 Jul 2025 00:35:17
2 footed, rapid, skilful, he hasn’t scored loads of goals yet but he’s represented Italy at every stage up to u21’s. There’s a chance he’ll be a brilliant Italian striker, maybe not but there’s a chance. He looks quality and we might find he’s out of our price range after his loan spell. I hope this happens.
19 Jun 2025 14:57:24
Napoli have bid £26.5m for O'Reilly, does anyone know if we have a sell on clause?
{Ed007's Note - It was widely reported we had a 10% sell on clause in the O'Riley deal, that'll be worth £150k to us at that price.}
06 Jun 2025 19:32:44
Surely reports linking us with Kyogo are nonsense!
1.) 06 Jun 2025 20:05:04
Lazy reporting or even lazier scouting? Jota, KT, Kyogo? Who's next GG, Turnbull and God forbid MJ?
{Ed007's Note - Scott Bain?}
2.) 07 Jun 2025 10:44:26
Kristoffer Ajer apparently Brentford want Kuhn which would open the door for Ajer to return. Hope not absolute bombscare at CB, was better at RB imo.
3.) 07 Jun 2025 10:52:40
I would love Ajer back ?.
4.) 07 Jun 2025 11:41:28
Ajer was as much of a “bomb scare” as Starfelt was at CB. When you look at it, maybe Starfelt was the player making CCV look so good!
Starfelt was an awesome player. We really do miss him. Not the best we’ve had but still great.
5.) 07 Jun 2025 12:59:15
If ajer was a bombscare how would you describe ccv scales nawrocki or trusty because he is better than they 4.
6.) 07 Jun 2025 13:19:04
All centre backs at Celtic in recent years have had it very difficult as recent managers didn’t provide them with much cover or support. Playing our best attacking football usually means midfield, wingers and at least one full back are all in attacking positions. Contrary to what some think, I think we have been blessed with really good for the most part with good centre backs who play well together. Trusty started well but for some reason has got himself caught up in a wrestling game with opponents. Scales gives all he got, works well with CCV, makes the odd mistake but is nowhere near the “fear” giving mistake waiting to happen player that some “Celtic fans” make him out to be . CCV is a little bit injury prone, but if we aren’t under heavy pressure he is a delight to watch as he can glide over the ground, snuffing out danger before danger arises.
7.) 07 Jun 2025 14:42:39
Ajer was one of the players who I think put the tools away in the ill fated 10 season. Not for me.
8.) 07 Jun 2025 14:59:04
I would describe Nawrocki as the best of the lot?.
9.) 07 Jun 2025 17:01:58
????? there's no way your being serious. I refuse to believe anyone is that stupid unless your playing fifa again? Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm guessing your around 15/ 16 year old right?
10.) 07 Jun 2025 19:56:48
I definitely wouldn't have Ajer in my EA FC team!
11.) 07 Jun 2025 20:10:28
Would you have the superstar Polish centre back who had 1 good game for us last season?
{Ed007's Note - The thing with Nawrocki for me is that Rodgers sees him in training everyday and there's all the rumours about his fitness & recovery time, I wouldn't say he's the worst defender we have but tbh I don't think we've seen enough of over any leght of time to judge it, he's played a few good games and had a few howlers - I'm just taking it that there has to be some kind of problem there, whether that's ability or the the other stuff I don't know.
I think it's best for both parties if Nawrocki moved on and Paul says he is being heavily linked with a move back to Poland. Oh and Dc someone else will probably pipe up he was born in Germany and has dual nationality... I doubt he'll be getting a all from Nagelsmann any time soon right enough.}
12.) 07 Jun 2025 20:56:36
I agree it's nearly impossible to judge him that's why im stunned when people claim he is our best defender. It reminds off the time hooiveld was out on loan after being terrible with us and lot of people were saying he was our best centre back and should be brought back.
I think nawrocki will leave this summer most likely a loan because we would struggle to get even half our money back.
13.) 07 Jun 2025 22:56:42
When you see his performance in the derby and at Aberdeen it's not difficult to see he's definitely an asset! Why he doesn't get more game time is a mystery.
14.) 08 Jun 2025 11:39:04
He was average against rangers if you think that performance merits him being our best centre half, is just further proves you don't watch much football.
His only good performance came against a poor Aberdeen.
15.) 08 Jun 2025 12:48:37
The writing was on the wall for Nawrocki when Brendan put on young Murray ahead of him against Aston Villa in the CL.
16.) 08 Jun 2025 14:50:19
Average? He was our best player by some distance! Only a 15/ 16 year old would come away with "just proves you don't watch much football" patter as a retort to someone who differs in opinion from them?.
17.) 08 Jun 2025 18:41:18
You either don't watch football or you don't understand football. If you think his performance against rangers was good you clearly don't know anything or don't watch much football. That's isn't even up for debate.
He was average, doesn't matter if he was out best player on the day he was still average at best. Go back and actually watch the game. But don't stay up to late you have school tomorrow son.
18.) 08 Jun 2025 21:07:43
I wouldn't debate with someone who needs to get new patter. I find it quite ironic when you say I have school tomorrow as "to" should be too and "rangers" should be Rangers.
Maybe it's you that should be attending school tomorrow?.
19.) 09 Jun 2025 07:15:26
What debate?
20.) 09 Jun 2025 18:28:53
You said it " That isn't even up for debate". I said " I wouldn't debate with someone who needs to get new patter".
So you tell me what the debate is?
21.) 09 Jun 2025 22:43:01
That's my point. What debate?
22.) 10 Jun 2025 17:33:08
You stated " it wasn't up for debate". I wasn't debating I was telling you Rocki is our best CB?.
23.) 12 Jun 2025 09:49:36
Exactly wasn't up for debate. So I ask again what debate? Ask your teacher if you are struggling to understand.
10 Feb 2025 22:50:52
Home to Hibs in the QF.
05 May 2024 20:30:54
Joel Pohjanpalo, Finnish international striker playing for Venezia in Italy. Top scorer in Serie B, valued at roughly €4m, Giakoumakis type striker. At 29 would be decent signing imo.
1.) 06 May 2024 13:27:09
He had immense potential when he was young but never quite made it. Still an ok striker but we need much better IMO.
2.) 07 May 2024 12:38:09
I. don’t think he can help us in our next four games for Celtic . 3 SPL games and Scottish Cup final . We should take every game one at a time and focus fully on next game . We could be on the cusp of something wonderful, or we could f. ck it all up by focusing on what is of no importance right now.

Did anyone read the gullible's post regarding tje money we have in the bank and not being allowed to use it?
Deary me finances are cleary not their strong point over there?.
1.) 09 Jul 2025 08:21:17
Celtic are well within the new UEFA Financial Sustainability Regulation rules.
Clubs are allowed outgoings of 70% of their annual turnover and I think Celtic are only just over 50%.
Sevco got a warning from UEFA because they were over 70% hence the downsizing since their warning.
2.) 09 Jul 2025 08:54:20
Not only that buzz, our revenue is about 50 million more than their, so our 70% is miles more than their 70%.
Based on our predicted revenue from last season, we will be able to spend 98- 105 million on transfers, wages and agent fees and they will have about 63 million to spend on the same.
These predictions are based on our revenue being 140-150 million and their revenue being around 90 million.
05 Jul 2025 05:23:48
From the youtube videos of Inamura he looks looks a patient CB who doesn't dive in and likes to stand his man up and tackle only when he thinks he has a clear chance of winning the ball.
1.) 05 Jul 2025 07:49:53
I agree, he looks like a promising player. He can hit accurate long passes and when he does tackle, he doesn't hold back.
Be interesting where BR is thinking of playing him, LB or LCB.
2.) 05 Jul 2025 09:40:06
He’s already said he’s not first team ready, it looks like he’ll be away on loan.
3.) 05 Jul 2025 11:35:35
He'll be assessed over the pre season to see if he goes out on loan or stays with the squad.
4.) 05 Jul 2025 14:24:42
I have enough trust in BR and the Board not to send him out on loan back in Japan . If it’s a loan, then let it be in SPL or at least a European team . He won’t develop as a SPL player by returning to Japan on loan.
5.) 05 Jul 2025 19:42:08
Frimpong wasnt ist team ready and players were telling Lennon to give him a chance . So let the players get at least some training in before we decide to send them anywhere.
6.) 05 Jul 2025 19:59:52
It's blatantly obvious this is not a Brendan signing and probably quite a few others. if this is the case he should come out and say he only coaches the players.
{Ed007's Note - Who do you think decided to sign Inamura?}
7.) 06 Jul 2025 08:26:58
I like this approach on the project signings. Sign them, loan them out a season or so, then get them back a bit more refined.
8.) 06 Jul 2025 15:41:26
I think it is awful treatment of a youngster to be shown all the modern facilities of Celtic Pk and Lennoxtown, only to be called to an office and told forget about Celtic Park and Lennoxtown for now, we are sending you to some place unheard of . Then when the youngster from far away places arrives at his new club, a club that is still in the 20th century, no hot water in dressing room, no hot showers, he is certainly taken down from the clouds and faces a different reality .
These new realities could be the making or could be the breaking of the youngsters . One thing certain is sending players out on loan has a poor enough % of creating reliable long term Celtic players.
22 Jun 2025 17:30:51
Luka Jovic will be a free agent from June 30th when his contract expires with AC Milan. Still only 27 years old, despite playing for the likes of Real Madrid and AC Milan he hasn't replicated his sensational season at Frankfurt when he scored 17 leagues including 5 goals in one game!
Wages might be a problem but as a free transfer it would be a no brainer for me!
21 Jun 2025 17:54:56
We could do worse than take a look at Brazilian Lucas Riberio of Mamelodi. Has the skill to beat a man and pace to burn. Valued at €2.6m.
1.) 22 Jun 2025 07:49:05
Love it when our readers come up with names but unfortunately most Brazilians end up F…. s?.
2.) 22 Jun 2025 10:12:51
I watched him yesterday he's exactly the type of player we are missing. Proper quality and that price and age he fits our transfer model?.
18 Jun 2025 11:28:59
Read a report stating Rocki is part of our long term plans. If this true it's great news and confirms my belief that he's our best CB!
{Ed007's Note - ?????? It's not true, the headline is called clickbait and the fact you read that without actually reading a journalist's opinion proves it done its job of attracting attention/clicks as it actually doesn't say anything of the sort. His opinion is that:
"It would be beneficial to both parties if Nawrocki is allowed to leave on loan with a view to coming back and staking a claim for a first team spot."
Celtic have told Nawrocki and his agent something entirely different - find a new club, preferably a permanent move but if it's a loan we will pay up to X% of the wages. His agent was speaking to clubs in Poland (and Germany & Austria) even before the season ended according to Paul and that's been confirmed by Pogon Szczecin sporting director Tan Kesler.
Even the article mentions him going out on loan for this season, so after 18 games in 2 years, out on loan for a year then coming back with a year left on his deal (and a years option) will surely cement his place at the heart of our defence for years to come.}
1.) 18 Jun 2025 13:24:58
Celtic Board need to analysis carefully the process that took Nawrocki to Celtic Park on a permanent deal . They then must make sure that the people or the positions they held, never repeat the mistakes or the process responsible for signing Nawrocki.
It doesn’t matter if he is good or not, our manager cannot find a position for him in our ist team squad and certainly first 11 .
This signing is a waste of finances regarding our playing squad, money needs to be better spent.
2.) 18 Jun 2025 14:32:30
I remember hearing Neil Lennon at the end of his tenure state that "they are not my players", and BR stating something along the lines of "that we've millions of wingers. " Clearly looks like the manager is not being consulted on the players that are getting brought in, also looks like the arrogance of the recruitment team/ board of directors are saying that whoever we bring in, it's your job to manage them. Looks like a complete disconnect between the board and the manager.
{Ed007's Note - Since Mark Lawwell left the final decision on who we sign is down to Rodgers.}
3.) 18 Jun 2025 17:26:53
I did say if this is true as I do know a lot of sites are clickbait?.
{Ed007's Note - The fact you think it possibly could be true is the worrying thing.}
4.) 18 Jun 2025 20:02:48
I was hopeful it was true as I really rate Nawrocki.
{Ed007's Note - Is that you Rich T?}
5.) 19 Jun 2025 07:33:27
I always wondered who read they clcikbait rubbish and believed they could be true. I never actually thought anyone was daft enough to belive them but alas I was wrong.
10 Jun 2025 17:33:08
You stated " it wasn't up for debate". I wasn't debating I was telling you Rocki is our best CB?.
09 Jun 2025 18:28:53

So you tell me what the debate is?
08 Jun 2025 21:09:44
Bitton was underrated!
08 Jun 2025 21:07:43
I wouldn't debate with someone who needs to get new patter. I find it quite ironic when you say I have school tomorrow as "to" should be too and "rangers" should be Rangers.

13 Jul 2025 20:07:38
Alan Stubbs aswell?.
13 Jul 2025 20:06:52
I'd take Gordon Marshall at his age now over Barkas?.
{Ed007's Note - Marshall would have had a field day with Barkas barnet to be fair.}
13 Jul 2025 19:08:40
Mjallby, Reiper and Van Dijk from recent times.
{Ed007's Note - Alan Stubbs and a cracking player that often gets overlooked when we talk about some of our best CBs - Mick McCarthy, what a player he was.}
13 Jul 2025 19:07:31
Barkas hands down is the worst GK I've ever seen! Duffy and Ambrose have to be in the convo for the worst CB's.
{Ed007's Note - Oh there's been worse than Barkas, Muggleton and Iain Andrews, Gordon Marshall was honking too.}
09 Jul 2025 04:43:14
He won't play more games than Calmac.
