Just thinking of affectionate nicknames we've had for our players over the years, Jinky, Buzz Bomb, Feed the Bear etc. I don't know if this was a common nickname for the fondly remembered Frank McGarvey but me and my mates called him 'The Rubber Man'. He had that unique ability during his hold up play, to contort the upper and lower parts of his body in different directions while keeping control of the ball. I also think of 'Dom the Bomb' Sullivan from the 70s (I thought he was ok for us but a lot of fans didn't rate him) . Also Roddie the Proddie MacDonald, from the 70s. Anyone think of other fond nicknames for our Hoops bearers over the years?

The Derry Pele was a good one Ed but I must admit I chuckled when one of my mates from the dark side referred to him as The Very Smelly.
