Maeda will be out injured for about 6 weeks.
He will be a big loss because our other wingers have been very inconsistent this season.
It makes his Red Card more comical.
The Atletico player went into the challenge with a full force swing.
I can remember thinking at the time,
He could've broke Maeda or his own leg because of the force behind his challenge.
Maeda obviously got hurt in the challenge and he should've rolled about, the same as the Atletico player.

Massive loss particularly in Europe his detractors often don’t appreciate what he contributes defensively. He was a large part of the reason we secured a victory at the Bronx when ravaged by injuries he shut Tavernier and that whole side of the monkeys down.

I don't have a lot of confidence in our alternatives to Daizen and the bigger the occasion the more I worry. Really good wide players are a key factor in the Celtic psyche. January incoming needs to be special.

Daizen is type of footballer who you only realise how good he is when he is missing. Both Ange and BR started them in practically every game as they appreciated his worth .
This season isn’t very old, yet we have missed many of our important players for a number of games.

We aren’t going to address all our deficiencies in January which is a notoriously difficult window to do business unless the required irons are still in the fire from the summer window that got panned in which hopefully is the case.

It was certainly stupid and left a decision to be made. The outcome was determined by the reaction not the incident though but that's European football.

I have to disagree, Maeda was a red all day for me. The challenge for me me sums him up, clumsy and lacked any degree of competency. Hopefully someone with ability as a footballer can step up.

What utter nonsense, it was not the tackle, it was the screenshot used to show the ref it was bad, because at normal pace it wasn't. It was identical to the tackle on Kyogo and if the had bothered to look at it, the still would have shown it was a red also.
So blaming Maeda for being quick is wrong, blame the VAR ref for not doing his job properly.
