in the country known as Scotland neither Celtic nor Rangers ( as they are known) can out do each other hence the original rangers couldn't hit the ten and neither will Celtic. this country needs a football edge and if one is racing away then it becomes obsolete. it all ties in with the referees and other strange decisions. it makes for great helicopter viewings. think about it.

I have thought this for a while. Really hope that's not the case, otherwise what's the point.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 21:47:18
This ten in a row, is meaningless, unless it's done by an exceptional side like the Lisbon lion's, who achieved European success, and even they only got to nine league titles, the Rangers side that won nine league titles were very poor in comparison to the Rangers side that won the cup winners cup, we have only won nine in a row, because the opposition have been rubbish, success, or relative success, in European competitions is a much better measure of how good we are as a club.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 22:47:05
As an older supporter I have seen a few 'cycles' of success from both ourselves and TRIFC (or whatever sensor wants to call them) .
Fortunately it started for me with the 60's and 70's which included the original nine-in-a-row and two European Cup Finals and then we flirted in and out of Europe and traded trophies with the original Rangers trophies until the so-called New Firm of Aberdeen and Dundee Utd were dominant in the early 80's.
The Centenary Year will always be a highlight and unfortunately it was also followed by a decline and their EBT assisted 9-in-a-row.
There was a brief respite in 97/ 98 and very mixed fortunes until the MON years, Seville and then a trophy tussle with Big Eck 'The Bankrupt Years' McLeish. During a decent decent spell under WGS.
That takes us up to date and whether we get 10 or fail depends on quite a few factors and hurdles that look daunting but possible.
These days I don't think it's possible for one single team to win ten titles like 'The Lions' were chasing - for a number of reasons Freedom of contract, ambition and greed of players, transfers in and out with two window's a year and longevity of managerial life.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Nov 2020 07:51:10
Aindoh there were only three of the Lisbon lions still at Celtic when they were going for the 10 McNeill, Lennox and Johnstone, to say the Lions failed is wrong.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Nov 2020 10:46:55
I never said they failed.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Nov 2020 11:09:22
I had to laugh when you said that about the Lisbon Lions Aindoh because it was yourself and our Ed. Who rightly pulled me up for stating the same.
And now Oldkilly is pulling you up.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Nov 2020 12:24:21
Aindoh by 1973 8 of the Lisbon Lions had left Celtic so they didn’t win 9 as you stated. In your original post you said the Lions only got to 9 which would mean to me they never achieved the 10.

Fed up hearing neil lennon was a great player and great servant to the club.
He was at best a decent player and was paid very handsomely for serving the club.
No doubt he went through a lot of bad rubbish for being a celtic player.
He has been extremely lucky to twice had the opportunity to manage us and he will probably never manage again once he leaves.
This is about what's best for celtic and at this period in time that means a change of manager and all coaching staff.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

06 Nov 2020 19:43:20
Surely you are fishing here mate. He was a very good player for us and integral to the team that O'Neill had at the time. Played a massive part in us getting to a European cup final. Remember that?

Totally agree Wexfordbhoy.
Yeh liamennon he was very lucky to land the managers job. He was out of a job at the time was he not and let's face it, the appointment in the 'shower room' was nothing short of embarrassing.
What sort of team do you think he'll end end up managing when he eventually leaves us? A team in the premiership, championship or what level abroad?

Michael O'Neil. But not Martin we've been there and done that. Ed and see the same way that the H word gets blocked etc. is there any chance you could do that with the words Roy and Keane. I could watch anything even us losing 10 under NL and would keep my season ticket. But if a man who should never have worn the jersey is ever manager my ticket will be free to whoever wants it during his tenure. I'll come when I'm washed up finished and past ma sell by date and that will be ok because I'm Irish and played with Man Utd. Aye wull ye.

I would take Mon purely as stop gap, get us organised, fit and instill some passion and pride.
New man close season.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 19:31:10
MON is done! Loved him to bits when he was hear and gave us IMO the best team we have ever had excluding the lions! But the mans nearly 70! We’ve surely to f**k got to have a short list of managers to replace Lennon! If not then lawell can go to! Criminal if we haven’t made contingency plans, after the start we’ve had this season! I wanted Neil gone after the sevco game and nothing has changed my opinion. he’s lost the dressing room big times, and last night’s embarrassment was the last straw! And while Neil Lennon will carry the can, and rightly so. I must say the players on that pitch last nite were an utter disgrace! It’s one thing to give up on your manager, but that last nite was players not giving a toss about the club also! To many think they are better than they actually are! A shambles!

I would take Michael O’Neil because he has more knowledge about Scottish football than most which will be vital to hit the ground running.
He done an excellent job with Ireland and saved Stoke from relegation.

06 Nov 2020 20:48:37
Lawell would get rid of Lennon and give Lennon the job as care taker manager. 😂I was thinking about all the guff Lawell has signed and it's not pretty to see. Bayo Shved Mulumbu Perez Gutman Bolongoli Connel Soro Klimala ( the last 3 still need a chance) . Buying cheap and hoping for a Dembele type. Lawell has far to much influence on football matters and should just concentrate on being the bead counter.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 21:45:57
Very good Pud. Look at the amount of money we wasted buying players. They never made it or never given a chance most puzzling one for me was shved . When Brendan Rodgers came out when we signed him. I didn't sign him we have enough midfielders. Was never given a chance or wasn't coached enough to settle in the the Scottish league . Now we are screaming for wingers badly. When we had them we let them go. What was behind the Scott Sinclair departure another talent treated bad by Lennon.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 23:22:04
Celtics signing policy a lot of the time is sign 4 or 5 players at the £2/ 3m mark and hope 1 or 2 are a success.
Total waste of money.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 17:50:46
not messaged for a while but heres my tuppence worth. neil lennon was a great player for the club he is a fighter and sometimes great fighters don't know when they are on the ropes too many times. the main problem with Celtic is Lawwell, great with finance but that is where his remit should stay and stop interfering on the footballing matters of the club. this has caused a weakness and division. There has been a lot of talk about eddie Howe. we all know for the clubs benefit a change of structure is needed. I would suggest WGS as manager till seasons end and Howe as assistant, to learn what the club is about. after all its all about the 10.

Right guys and gals, crap week again but let's have a bit of fun.

Name a manager you would like to see take over IF Lennon leaves.
Keep it within reason not some pie in the sky name.

For me a couple stand out
Rangnick (maybe a bit to far? )
Thomas Frank who is doing great work down south.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Nov 2020 17:25:25
Eddie Howe is the obvious choice. Personally I'm not fussed as long as it is a young manager with modern ideas. However it ends up being whenever NL leaves they must be given full control like BR had. We don't need another PL yes man.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 17:28:24
I mentioned rangnick earlier Kev, he seems to have a good record of signing young players then moving them on for big fees . Eddie Howe who is linked, I’m unsure of. He plus decent football and done ok keeping Bournemouth in the prem but there was very little pressure on him there . They were never very strong defensively either .

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 17:42:53
I don’t know anything about how a football club is run and I’ve no idea who is availability but from a purely business perspective with Celtics turnover as an international brand if DD and to a lesser extent PL don’t have a Plan B and their eye on somebody somewhere and have all their eggs in the one NL basket I’d be absolutely stunned.

Steve Clark.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Nov 2020 18:06:26
I would say a manager on a temporary basis, who knows his way about a team and who is hard to kick some arses. With a view to a new management team and approach next year. MON, Keane, Pearson or someone until the end of the season. Then someone to rebuild next year, someone young and motivated. Maloney maybe.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 18:12:03
Chris Hughton
I know people won't be happy with this but I would bring WGS back until the end of the season with Scott Gemmill as assistant with him taking over in the summer.

06 Nov 2020 19:05:01
Clarke is so negative though, I know he gets teams organised but we need more than that . When Rogers came in he reinvigorated the whole club including fans . We need that again.
I wonder if lawell is digging out his waterproofs again to pop into a few showers in the hope someone takes up a job offer 🙈.

Nigel Pearson
Bruno Lage
Eddie Howe.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 20:50:35
Chris Hughton was linked before Lennon got the job and I would have been happy with that. Question is, is Lennon actually going?

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Nov 2020 00:55:04
Chris Houghton Eddie Howe Nigel Pearson are all much better than nl tactically. Howe plays attacking football however he had no plan b last year and Bournemouth were awful, Pearson could steady us like he did Watford last year b4 getting sacked when they were still staying up. Houghton been outta work for a while but think he has done well everywhere he has been so far. I'd like us to think outside the box this time and go get a young European manager maybe ex-player ala lamps and Gerrard model who have that knowledge of the modern game and give them a chance to show what they can do. Any ideas folks?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Hughton is manager of Nottingham Forest.}

07 Nov 2020 16:03:07
Always thought someone like Solbakken would do a decent job here. Out of a job currently too.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 16:48:51
Of course there is shared responsibility for our inept performances but the buck stops with the manager. Our defence is not a defence and he has signed a goalie he doesn't trust to play, a RB (el Hamed) who he won't play, 2 LB's (Taylor/ Boli) who he didn't fancy, and 2 CB's (Julien and Duffy) who are no better than what we had. That's before I get to all the midfielders that don't get a chance. Total disaster zone at the moment. Much as I love NL I think he has to go. Who comes in folk ask? There will be plenty candidates and DD must surely have been planning for this for a while.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

06 Nov 2020 17:27:55
According to PL there were no candidates the last time. Agree NLs time looks to be up but are we doing a new manager any favours bringing them in mid season? If we drop points to Motherwell and Hibs the title is likely gone. May as well hire a caretaker or give it to Kennedy until the end of the season before starting the rebuild.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 16:34:34
If NL has to fall on his sword to save our season then reluctantly it has to happen.
The team looks disjointed, unorganised and a shadow of the champions of last season.
In these circumstances the manager generally carries the can.
But some of those players are stealing a wage and pulling our pants down with the excuses that are coming out.
If I hear they are missing the crowd once more!
Some are doing themselves no favours in there attempt to get a move.
If a new manager comes in and suddenly we start to go on a run then it says more about the players attitude than NLs.
Like rangers attempt at 10iar, we also seem to be imploding.
But we have a chance to either stick or twist. its early enough to try and rescue things.
Even if the manager stays nothing has been lost but on current form a change might be needed.
Either way the players must take more responsibility or is the pressure of standing on the edge of history to big a burden to bare.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

06 Nov 2020 17:03:09
Lennon will carry the can.
But the players shouldn’t need motivated for a history making once in a lifetime season.
It was a red flag when Fraser Forster chose to not come for a shot at 10 In A Row.
The clubs had agreed for Fraser to stay at Celtic and yet the player decided otherwise.
And on top of that other players don’t want to be at the club either.
There’s obviously something wrong behind the scenes and the setup at the club if the players aren’t enjoying working for Celtic anymore.
If the players are not playing for their manager then he has to go.
It’s not nice but the players have all the power these days.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 17:09:29
My first worry was when KT left when he did not long after NL got the job permanently and I know he wanted to better himself etc etc but it cam as a surprise to me he was so desperate to leave at that time?

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 17:29:37
Good point Celtic Mad.
I was shocked KT didn’t want to stay and win 10 In A Row.
Brendan wasn’t great in the transfer market but he was a good coach.
He took Ronnie’s players and turned them into Invincibles.
The players played like they enjoyed their football under Brendan and what we are witnessing now is the exact opposite under Lennon.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 17:29:41
Spot on Celtic Mad. Wouldn't surprise me if KT witnessed the difference in set up between the rat and NL and realised it would hinder his development.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 18:25:21
Or maybe KT had an epiphany, after he got that bad hip, or whatever it was, injury, and realised he could get hurt badly any day, and the chance of big big money would be gone forever, so he thought he'd be better jumping ship and getting his snout in the trough whilst he still had the chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 22:09:27
The way the modern game is now the players have all the power. Down tools and the first to go is the manager. New manager comes in players up their game to impress the new manager and go on a run of games and all is forgiven for the players and blame the manager. Till next time they get fed up. Ok if the players don't want to play for Celtic then stand up and come out and say it and then let Lennon send them to reserves. We the fans deserve more respect from the players who play for our club especially this season. Do the players want to be remembered for been legions for winning 10 ina row or the players who downed tools.
Chelsea's players down tools for years and got 3/ 4 managers sacked. It's a disgrace for any club when their players down tools. It's the fans who pay their wages that suffer the most.

Last night the Czech side were as big as 6/ 1 with some bookmakers, my two ex bears got 11/ 2 and put on £200 EACH to win eleven hundred quid each, both told me that this season they have been betting big amounts on our european opponents because they felt Celtic lacked bottle in europe, it is hard for me to disagree with them.
I am just waiting now on The Suit telling me he is a millionaire by betting against Celtic.

I had a we £10 on a rangers draw. At 89 mins they were offering me £1.60 for an early cash out then the wee Brucie bonus went in in the 91st minute. Had a £25 double backing Spurs and Arsenal too. Had a bad feeling about our game but can never bet against Celtic.

Social media is awash with made up garbage about Lennons lifestyle outside football. Most are from the younger generation with an entitlement attitude having seen Celtic winning trophies year after year. Yes question his management skills but the vile crap they come out with is on a par with sevco supporters when it's all going wrong. We are all hurting but we can turn it all around and get back to winning ways. I hope the players pick themselves up and come out and hammer Motherwell.

Celtic have went away to Motherwell on our last legs a couple of times in the past.
We won our last 7 games of the season to win the league in 2008.
It started off with a 4-1 victory at Fir Park.
Celtic went there 6 points behind Rangers and Celtic had also played 2 games more but a maximum of 21 points was enough to come back and secure the title.
Also in 2011/ 12 season Celtic went to Motherwell 15 points behind Rangers but won that crucial game 2-1 and went onto win the first of our 9 titles.

We are in a major mess just now. I have been watching the manager fairly closely over last few months. What really disappoints me is his apparent lack of motivation. When things are going against the team he just seems to glaze over and sink in his seat arms folded.
I don't know if the team don't want to play for him or it's that a few of them want away.
I am actually wondering if there are health issues at play here. We are all over the place at the moment, l was hoping the critisism would galvanise the performances but the opposite is the outcome.
I'm not sure if a new manager would get these players performing, especially if some of them want out. What l can say is if a new manager got those players turning it on l would be disgusted with them it would prove to me they downed tools to get rid of the manager and didn't give the fans a second thought.
I may be way off the mark but l don't have a definative answer.

Almost every Celtic fan has known for weeks that there are BIG problems in our dressing room, so who is to blame, and more importantly how do we fix them.
Neil Lennon must carry a lot of the blame for his tactics, or lack of them, his patently unfit players, compared to under Rodgers. The team looks so under prepared at times this season which is the manager's responsibility.
But if Celtic sack Lennon and go for cheap option of Kennedy, then we are NO FURTHER FORWARD, because Kennedy is part of the coaching staff putting out unfit players, I fear Lawwell will go down this route as Kennedy is another yes man, grateful to have a job.
We need a complete change of management style and bring in a modern manager with up to date ideas, my choice is Eddie Howe.

whats the hype about howe, take a close look at his defence feck ups, plus if players don't want to be at celtic no manager is going to make them better, i didn't want lennon but who would take the job now, it would have to be someone inspirational or someone with a bit of magic and i believe paul daniels is no longer with us, so is it best for celtic if they bring in an oldie like mon or wgs to help see the season out.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 15:39:11
@Buzz Bomb our whole squad must take their share of the blame also, we have all heard the stories of players wanting a transfer and downing tools when not getting it or just fed up with Lennon's old fashioned methods, but surely every player should have their own pride and standards and give 100% even if they do not like the manager.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 16:17:38
As a coach Kennedy will only do what the manager tells him Tim.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 16:26:57
I am much more angry at the players who have failed to turn-up so many times in important games and even bread-and-butter matches where they go through the motions seeming to have zero conscience.
I have stated on here ever since the previous manager effed-off that Neil Lennon was never my choice; but am grateful, he did a good enough job during a tumultuous time when players and support felt angry and betrayed, with Celtic shell-shocked and that will never be forgotten (as will his contribution to our successes) .
However, we have been on here for months questioning performances, attitudes and fitness with no apparent improvement or remedy - because the players hold all the power and when they publicly appear confused, disinterested, incompetent or lacking confidence or progression - the manager will always carry the can.
Unless we see a vast improvement immediately and contiuously which would seem unlikely right now we may have to bring in a new boss. A worrying thought would be a quick fix like JK (as Tim said) or even WGS/ MON who have been away from management far too long.
DD has to think much bigger before we throw it all away.
NL will probaly be in charge at Fir Park and although we should beat Motherwell; we should have beat a few teams so far and have fallen well short and the pressure is all on us.

There's a worrying lack of news after last night. I genuinely don't see any way back for Lennon and he doesn't have it in him to do the right thing and step aside. The International break is the perfect opportunity to get somebody in the door and working with some of the squad. If only that pesky mole would leak some info on a new manager.

Who would you guys go for as a replacement for Lennon? I am struggling to think of someone at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 13:53:30
Kevboy, in his post match interview last night he looked to have just accepted the problems and that he can't fix it. Duffy is a disaster and surely someone should have realised he wouldn't suit the style we play, was Duffy a DD signing?
Certain players probably feel they were priced out of a move in the summer, we then bring in loans of players who can't get a game for their teams and are on EPL silly money, that's not going to sit well.
We bring in guys like Turnbull and Soro who must wonder why as they can't buy a start even with our top players having such poor form plus NL is not a tactician and to be honest wouldn't get an interview for another job with any half decent side.
When you look at Sparta last night their B team destroyed us because they done their homework and gave 100%, drop the prima Donna's get the younger players in and get a manager who's a professional not someone who thinks the modern game is still about having a few beers together and a rant at half time.
The warnings of this disaster were there when the players went to Dublin for a piss up 4 days before a Sevco game, that's 1980's management.

DK, there's nothing wrong with making a mistake. What isn't alright is persevering with a player who is getting worse and worse. The same goes for the manager at this point.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2020 13:10:59
I think if we had 7 players out like Sparta allegedly had, we could have won that game, I have been saying for ages, so I won't say it again, some players need to be rested, dropped or binned, the greatest manager we ever had, wouldn't play LG until whatsname got injured, in fact he had been thinking about putting him out on loan, but when LG got the chance, he never looked back, players like Soro, Turnbull and Walsh need to get a run of games, Brown, Rogic need to be benched, and brought on when needed, which in Browns case won't be often, .
Frimpong is a winger not a defender, Edouard and Bitton need to be given more time to recover from C.V.

Aindoh I reckon if soro, turnbull and Welsh were playing last night we would of won.

Brown and Duffy should be dropped with the latter, never setting foot on pitch for celtic again.

Its always someone else fault when it comes to Lennon, always some excuse. Would anyone be surprised if it came to light that there has been a repeat of hibs incident?

Also its a bit rich coming from Lennon, slating Moi for mobile phone incident. Was not that long ago Lennon was looking at his phone during an old firm defeat.

Hate to say it but time is up we are a mess. disjointed shambles. you would think the players haven't ever played together . The defence is a shambles they don't even tackle. wee frimpong wouldn't get near the sevco back 4 but he's in before elhamed who can defend . this playing 2 or 3 luxury players us not on. and the 5 subs has confused lenny he just throws bodies on for the sake of it. time for change while we can still salvage the league.

The subs thing has infuriated me for ages with NL. Many times we have had awful first halves of matches with some players red-rotten, or the system is not working etc. and he fails to react, replace or reorganize early enough to improve our play and take a game by the scruff of the neck.
Far too many times this season we have all suffered through an hour or more of utter mediocrity, or are losing games and then last gasp changes are shuttled on in hope more than method.
None of the goalkeepers look solid and there have been very few 'saves' of any note that inspire confidence - although I suppose with that defense in front of you, it's asking a lot?
NL's persistence with Duffy has cost us four goals or more and his preferred midfield formation very rarely compliments each other or brings the best out of the strikers - talking of which - Griffiths and Ajeti should be front of the queue and what Soro, Turnbull and Klimala have to do to get a chance before so-called unsettled, unhappy players is anyone's guess. It's a mess from top to bottom!

Agree about soro and turnbull the later started against st Johnstone and had an average game and bang he's out and soro has looked good in the cameos we've seen but still no start. i don't get it . we never play the same 11.its all over the place. yes there's been disruption but it could still have been dealt with better and Kennedy and Strahan need to look at themselves as well.

Thats the worrying things for me, as i think anyone with eyes could see this result coming. It’s bad preparation and poor tactics from the manager and his coaching staff.
I mentioned last week that Bain had only saved one penalty in 21 before his save last week.
What I didn’t mention was he said he FORGOT which way he was supposed to go after doing his homework on their penalty takers.
The whole set up is amateurish.

06 Nov 2020 12:09:20
Pud I disagree that we have the best squad Sevcos GK and at least 3/ 4 of their defence is better than ours.
I think Cal Mac is better than any of their midfielders but after that Davis, Aribo, Arfield and Kamara are all better than Brown.
Think we are better up top but at the moment I hate to admit their squad probably has more depth although our starting 11 is prob better.

have to agree with GGGG. how long are we going to sit back saying how poor they are. I think they are probably stronger than us the whole way across the defence and in goals.

They have more stronger depth in the attacking areas than us.

And on this seasons form their attacking players look way better than us, even a off form Morelos is out shining our attackers.

One win in six games is a crisis at most clubs; obviously at Celtic it is totally unacceptable.
Not calling for a sacking, but there are several issues within the club that NL is struggling to to sort and may in fact be culpable himself for one or two?
We have three Away games in a row coming up before the 'Break' and it's hard to see instant improvement with so many players off-form and under-performing for whatever reason and falling even further back in the SPL table.
However, with the goalkeeping limitations, lack of creativity - never mind goals and the God-awful defending we look easy-to-beat.

Most of our summer signings have not improved us and in a couple of cases have even made things worse. Last night was the first time in a while we played an unchanged side and it failed miserably.
We can't wait until the January Window to offload unhappy players and panic buy more gambles; so the only other solution would be a change of management or structural alteration with a DOF and I can't see a guy like NL accepting help.
Answers on a postcard please?

The International break after the Motherwell game is coming at a good time for once.

im not going to slaughter duffy and turn against him in a nasty way the guy just lost his dad a few months ago so that could be playing a part in his form. but he has to be took out the team for a bit till he gets confidence back.

with lenny i am a big lenny fan always backed him and the same i won't turn on him in a nasty way but there is something up and if there is a better option there it will come in and change things we take it. as a true celtic man i will never turn on a celtic man in a nasty way sometimes things just don't work out.

Good points UI, for me defence starts with the strikers and their work rate - last night and so far this season big Eddie looks like he'd rather be anywhere else. 8s it C.V. related, I'm not convined. I was shouting for Duffy to get signed, to add some steel to our namby pamby defence but hands up, he needs taken out the team before the damage to his confidence and results are irreversible. Just a few weeks ago many on here, inc myself, were talking about the impact of C.V. and injuries to our first team, it didn't seem to affect Sparta last night! They played a 17 year old and made us look inept. IMHO there's an issue in the dressing room, there's an obvious issue with the player's performances as the results are dire, and for me Lennon is done at CP.

either get ride of the players who do not want to be there and are putting in no effort and stick with the manager or you get rid of manager and bring a new one it but the same problem is there with players not wanting to be there and giving no effort. CV is not the problem i agree.

Someone made the point that Duffy is used to playing backs to the wall deep in his own half. For us he plays in a higher defensive line as we are an attacking team. His lack of pace isn't suited to that style. I don't blame Duffy - I blame the poor scouting that has resulted in yet another player joining us that has made zero impact.

I really hate being negative when it comes to Celtic but after last nights performance that's difficult. Doubt if any Celtic player merits passmarks and we need to find out why. Is Edoard still suffering the after effects of C.V.?

Personally i don't think he should have been on the pitch. I know that when Rogers was here he often played players out of position I wish he was back so as he could try out Duffy for goalkeeper as Bain was woeful. The team at the moment would be very good at rugby as it is hard to remember a forward pass.

I have always supported Lennon for his passion etc both as a player and manager but perhaps his time has run its course. I really do hate the idea of sacking anyone and then i remembered that Benedict XVI abdicated as Pope because he loved the Church and realized he didn't have the strength to do what needed to be done.

We are only at the beginnjng of november and everything looks bleak. I for one do not believe at this point that there will be european football after christmas which could be to our advantage as Rangers seem to be flying.

In the remaining european matches I would play the reserves and underage players (they couldn't be any worse than what was on display last night) and the first team should focus on the league and cups as if they manage a quadruple treble and 10 in a row perhaps i will forget all about this shambles which saw us not just beaten but humiliated in Paradise.

The back line nothing short of a shambles, Duffy needs taken out the side ASAP.

Ralf Rangnick anyone?
In all seriousness, I don’t think there’s any way back for lennie now. There is clearly something rotten in the club at the minute, we have played best part of 20 games so far this season yet the players still can’t seem to get fit, he talks of changing the attitude, how could he have let their attitude become so bad, how can the players become so poor, they need to show some professional pride. It’s one gutless flat performance after another. ,

it’s getting harder to watch game by game. I appreciate we don’t have a right to be turning up and winning games easily but let’s be honest, we are getting beaten easily by teams who look sharper, run more and look wholly more organised than us. In the spfl we have players that are on so much more money than their competitors, and are better players than them . Surely if we match work rates we will walk all over these teams.

As a season ticket holder who travels over 900 miles to watch them I was gutted when C.V. stopped me getting to the games, at the minute I’m glad I’m not there. This season every game seems like a watershed moment for us, we are going for history with 10 but the players / management can’t lift themselves for it is beyond embarrassing .

If something isn’t done before the international break we can kiss goodbye to the league, as we can all see we are going to continue to leak goals and drop more points.

I really fear for us this year. My first concern was when I heard weeks ago lennon say he'd brought a sports psychologist in to I still confidence? Install confidence in a team that's won most going the past 9 seasons? Y next Inverness is our level of performances especially against rangers.

The past 3/ 4 games against the we've been totally out fought, out played etc without anything given in return, that's totally unacceptable for me. Then comes that last night.

What even was that? Other than the europa league they have t played much football in the last month, they turn up with 7 first team players missing, and that's the level of performance we put in Now people can talk about us having players missing, jullien, Forrest, ajer etc, but I'm sorry we've a squad there ready and available to be putting in better than that last night, better than most games so far this season, and for lennon to talk last night about culture changes, goals that are " academic" really Neil?

Are u only just seeing this or are u just trying to paint over the cracks Those players, for me have chucked it in terms of producing for lennon, it's there for all to see, yeah I've no doubt we'll ghettos odd performance like in Lille or against Aberdeen last Sunday, but let's not sugar coat it, the vast amount of performances this season having been alarming to say the least. Something has to be done and done now, we cannot continue like this or the season will be gone.

I honestly don’t think that they will sack Lennon as he is a yes man. If they do, let’s hope that Dermot can pull a rabbit out of the hat and appoint someone of the same caliber of Brendan.

I know i'm going on a rant here but Totally pathetic tonight.
you wouldn't think we were in pot 1 for this group, they haven't played domestic football for 4 weeks and were playing without 7 first team players.
All teams need to do to beat us is wait until Frimpong runs forward, we lose the ball and they just need to pump the ball into the RB position, then get by Duffy and they score.
At one point the tv camera turns to Lennon on the bench who is speaking to Kennedy and he sticks his bottom lip out whilst shrugging his shoulders.
Totally inept coaching, totally inept tactics and totally inept substitutions.
Taking Moi off who has scored 4 in the last 4 games and leaves The Glassman on for 90 minutes, takes Laxalt off and puts Christe or it could have been Mcgregor at LB although to be honest i'm not sure who played there as we were all over the place.
At there second goal Frimpong was no where to be seen, at the 4th goal Duffy, Bitton and Elhamed were all at the front post area when the ball comes over leaving Frimpong against 2 player!
A few players seem to have given up when we went 2-0 down.
First time in 30 years we have lost 3 home games in a row and the worrying thing is Lennon will be going no where.

Worst team since Mowbray.
And the thing is some of us could see this coming but there are still a lot of fans that have their head buried in the sand and can't accept that this run is now over and the manager don't seem to have any clue.

Lennon said in his interview last Sunday after the Semi Final that he needs to protect Rogic because he presently can’t play 2 games in a short time.
Yet he plays the full 90 minutes last night with Motherwell the more important game.
It was good to see Rogic play 85 minutes then 83 minutes and last night 90 minutes all in one week.

But why is Lennon contradicting himself?
Especially with Rogic taking a few knocks and he brought on Ntcham when the game was finished and also Lennon had Turnbull sitting in the stand with one substitution still to make.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we hear Rogic is out for Sunday, going by past history.

It was mentioned in commentary that before tonight Eric Black was the last opposition player to score a competitive hat trick against Celtic since 1983.
Eric Black was the only player to do so in over 52 years (1968) before tonight.
When the commentator mentioned the Eric Black hat trick, I said to my son that Celtic were winning 1-0 until Black scored in 44 and 45 minutes and Celtic went in 2-1 down at half time. Then he scored again in the second half to win 3-1.
My son was laughing at how I could remember that since I was only 9 years old at the time.
Although I could remember that Eric Black hat trick, I didn’t realise he was the last opposition player to manage it before tonight.
