see the dons fans split on Scott brown being manager a lot of comments praising him saying that's exactly what they need he is a winner and great leader a lot of them are for him getting the job.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Mar 2021 20:53:41
Would love to see Broony cut-his-teeth at management; as he has worked under some very good and varied bosses over the years and the doors of Celtic Park will always be open for a return?

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 21:11:40
I'd like to see him be a part of the new management set up next season. He's a leader and a voice we need next season for the rebuild. With all the new changes next season Brown know how about the club is essential to the new manager. We already lack leaders on the pitch. Just putting this out there is Mcgregor a good leader on the pitch. Not vocal enough for me. That's why I would keep Brown around.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 22:39:36
Brown hasn't the communication skills / intelligence to be a top level coach so sorry let him go to pastures new he runs about like the boss but sadly basic passes seem to be to much for him now and more interested in winding people up than doing his job, searved us well but we need to move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Mar 2021 01:23:43
Hope he goes as it means we can play soro.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Mar 2021 08:19:29
It’s now being reported that Brown looks like being offered a one year extension at Celtic.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Mar 2021 08:46:31
The rumour I heard was brown was getting a new 3yr contract for coaching only. Don't know if it's true or balls but that's what's going around at my work.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Mar 2021 09:14:59
any celtic supporter that wants scott brown to leave our club hasn't got a clue.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Mar 2021 09:22:25
Offering Brown a 1yr extension is very short sighted. He's been very poor this season not the warrior in midfield that we were use to. He offers very little in football terms. Passes back or to the side and constantly slows play down. If he's at the forefront of the new era we are worse off than i thought.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The year's extension will only put him at the forefront of the transition in helping the new management team get settled in, it's good to have strong characters in the dressing room onside during major changes. Brown be the buffer between the squad and the new management team, I just don't see him being a first-choice pick next season and Brown will know that himself.}

13 Mar 2021 09:29:57
For me there is a place at Celtic Park for one of our greatest ever captains and natural born leader especially in a period of transition. SB could provide continuity.

Comment above about his lack of intelligence is a bit cheap. Did you ever hear Brendan Rodgers attempts at speaking English? Or read his book? I’ll tell you one thing Neil Lennon was considerably more articulate.

Hailing John Clark for his achievements and long term commitment and association with the club and rightly so and castigating Scott Brown in the same thread just about says it all.

The fickleness known to prevalent among football fans appears to be alive and well among sections of the Celtic support this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Mar 2021 09:37:27
His time as a player has sadly come close to an end. He has been a brilliant captain for us but it is time for the next generation to create memories.

Thevreason i would like him to move is that the only time we have looked like a team this season was with Soro but the manager dropped him for Brown and ended that run. Now that is not Browns fault but if he is not there he can't be played.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Mar 2021 09:38:14
well said jfp.

13 Mar 2021 09:49:10

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Mar 2021 11:14:54
Ed
Pointless paying a guy a big wage to be a bit part player. Would need to be on a 1/ 3 of the wage he's on and the understanding game time will be limited. Broony would never agree to that. Yes he's been a great servant to us but all good things come to a end.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - So who in Scotland is going to pay a 36-year old Brown anywhere near he will get at Celtic, even on a reduced contract which it obviously would be? If he wants to keep playing he can move on and earn buttons compared to now or he can stay at Celtic, sitting on our bench and dipping his toe into coaching for still more money that he would probably get anywhere else.
I doubt Scott Brown is money orientated or he would have went down south when he had the chances.}

13 Mar 2021 11:47:13
Ed the look on Scott Brown’s face when that Cretan made that comment about his sister that stopped him in his tracks outside Ibrox will be an abiding memory for me. He had a look beyond disgust I’ll never forget it. They hate because he has grown to love us.

As Jock Stein said Celtic might not have been my first love-but they’ll be my last.

I think that quote could be equally attribute to Scott Brown.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Spot on 👍

13 Mar 2021 16:38:17
Ed
If Scott isn't money orientated. Will he not move on to play regular. He's not the type to be happy sitting on the bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I don't know what he'll do.}

13 Mar 2021 17:00:45
He lacked a lot of leadership this season. His times up as a player - if he wants to coach let him stay in the youth set up. McGregor is as important as Brown for the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Mar 2021 17:02:54
I seen another good thread on the Sevco pages go bump in the middle of the night.
Not for the first time this week.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 16:11:05
The Hibs keeper Marciano has rejected a new contract. I would go for him as he's a good keeper who knows the Scottish game well.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Mar 2021 17:00:49
We already have 3 keepers fighting for the No: 2 spot, we need an out and out No:1 and its not Marciano.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 17:32:36
The 3 we have could all play at the same time and we still would lose!

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 17:33:02
It’s a no from me, every time I’ve watched him play the Sevconians he has a mistake in him.
He’s no better than what we have, we need a keeper that can be relied upon next year to make the saves to win us points. Just like Forster or macgregor for them.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 18:31:32
Hes pish. We have 3 goalkeepers better than him.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 18:51:22
Pud
😂😂😂👏👏👏.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 18:58:44
We have good goalkeepers and players imo we just need a good manager to ignite the passion again.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 19:28:59
It's a no from me Pud.

I still think we need two GK's in the summer window but yer man shouldn't be anywhere near Paradise.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 21:30:45
Th 3 keepers we have are piss poor. We should just play Stevie woods.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 23:54:53
We have good players and not so good players, the best manager in the world will motivate the good players to perform better, and he will show the not so good players the door, he will have no room for sentimentality.

Have you heard anything about Lennon to Sheffield Wednesday. Weird coincidence with Shaw leaving and coming to us.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

12 Mar 2021 17:01:39
Shaw will get nowhere near our managers job.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 17:09:56
Its sheffield utd he is linked with, their now departed boss has been linked with us.

It needs said properly though.

Fast and shouted like you did there with a look of total disbelief bordering on angry.

Difference from the soft and slow WHI. T? with the eyes screwed up which is even worse meaning are you feckn nuts?

I’ll explain it when we’re live on air 😂😂😂.

I See Jene Wilder has been appointed as the new favourite odds on in fact to be the new gaffer. I wonder if he will bring in big grossburger and Richard Pryor as his backroom team. Great movie might give it a watch tonight Crazy season. 🙃
HH got to laugh 😆.

Do people think moving the game to 3PM on monday would make a difference I've heard rumours that what's happening? If you ask me if folk want to turn up they will. That's no fair on us that actually work and will miss the game. Plus am pretty sure sky won't be wanting that. Hope it's just nonsense talk.

Wullie Collum will be the referee for the Glasgow Derby next week.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 15:47:30
Crawford Allen the referee supervisor waits until the league title is over and then decides to wheel out an R. E teacher as the referee.
His assistants are Kevin, Francis and Sean for next week.

Gollum no friend of ours buzz.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 16:30:19
Mally, it will depend what side of the bed he gets out off, on Sunday morning.
The only predictable thing about Wullie, is he likes to be the star of the show.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 17:58:01
I don’t know him personally thus my opinion means very little but I always get the impression he’s either either just a bad referee or he try’s that hard to be fair he go’s beyond the pale to our detriment. He’s certainly no friend of ours though even if as I’ve heard he’s an excellent RE teacher.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 18:00:21
In all the times we have had Collum, we've had more controversy and aggro, than Madden, Beaton and Baby Dallas put together. IMO.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 13:52:55
Question would anyone be happy if Celtic waited until May/ June time before they rolled out the DoF and manager? I would not be personally no matter who they mention Because to me it will be too late for the two of them to do their jobs before kick off starts.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Mar 2021 15:11:30
We can't be going into qualifiers unprepared like every other season, get them in as soon as and get cracking, sevco look quite settled whereas we have major surgery in front of us.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 16:09:07
I agree Mally.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 12:51:18
Ed what could Celtic do if the game is called of after sevco admitting they can't control their mutants?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I don't think there's much they can do mate.}

12 Mar 2021 15:29:29
So if we get them in the Scottish cup will they stop it? I can't see the sfa doing it yet the SPFL would. Crazy eh. Hopefully their season will be null and void when the Helander C.V. rule breaking and the lies to cover it up are looked at. Orc media have removed all pics and vids of him being around the full first team yet sevco say he wasn't near any of them.

Timalloy, I hope your keeping well.
A Celtic fan in my area I know well, won over £20k betting on the 4 matches at 8pm last night.
He bet £50 @401/ 1
That the 4 favourites would win both halves.
The odds were 9/ 2, 4/ 1, 7/ 2 and Spurs were the worst odds of 9/ 4.
Everyone on social media was delighted for him and his young family.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Mar 2021 12:38:50
@Buzz Bomb can you ask your friend to give me his Cheltenham tips lol
Tell him well done and I can imagine what that kind of money will do to help his young family.

@Malika I was thinking of you all last night when you posted your sad news. You say you are alone in Spain with no family nearby, if you feel like a chat ED007 has my email details. I lost my sister Margaret a few months ago and I myself contracted this horrible disease. I consider myself lucky in that I got the best treatment possible here in Glasgow by amazing dedicated nurses and doctors, some of them even working on their allocated days off.
What I am trying to say is I sadly have experience of what you are going through and perhaps can pass on how I coped, also ED007 I know will gladly listen to you also, so please if you feel like getting in touch with us on Celtic pages please do so.
Stay strong and God Bless you and your wife and brother.

This decision (s) ranks up there with the MON and BR appointments as the club is not only seeking a manager, but a complete overhaul from Chief Exec down to playing squad.
Hopefully the caution and deliberation will be well worth it for all.
Personally I look forward to this season's end and the fresh start that most of us were hoping for, to begin.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2021 12:12:34
As I have said before we do need to take our time and get the right people in no doubt about that. But what I feel concerned about is when it was announced that PL was stepping down and the new guy was mentioned surely it was discussed before or at the time to bring in a DoF so that would have been 3 months ago another 3 months on and we will be close to Europe competition not giving us a lot of room for any one to come in see the set up asses all staff get a manager in let the manager do likewise as far as the players go I think we should have had atleast the DoF in by now to start the process.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Mar 2021 22:01:46
It’s looking more likely that next season’s Premiership title winners will go straight into the 2022/ 23 Champions league group stages
Which will have an automatic £30 million prize.
After tonight’s Europa league results,
Scotland increased their Co-efficient points lead over Ukraine to 0.275 points.
Both Ukraine clubs lost tonight and look like getting knocked out of the competition.
Ukraine still have a slight chance to finish above Scotland but they would need Sevco to lose next Thursday and one of their clubs to record a victory, to pip Scotland into 11th place.
