The centre of our defence is shocking. Defenders are taught when someone runs at you, 1. Watch the ball not the man, 2. Show them outside, 3. Show them onto their weaker side. Maik failed on all 3 counts, fell for a drop of the shoulder despite no change in ball direction, left massive gap inside and on Miovski's strong left foot. Unbelievably poor defending. And if he is way better than Lager then we are in real trouble for the run in. CCV is in my opinion the best of a bad bunch but he is not as good as some think, he isn't great in the air and loses his man in the box too often. Signing 2 CH's for £7m that are both worse than we had is truly appalling recruitment. No way on earth is McKenna any worse than our lot, in fact he is a clear step up.

I couldn’t believe how poor Nawrocki defended for the Aberdeen goal.
He was all over the place, trying to defend side on.
Nawrocki was lucky to stay on the park for a clumsy challenge when he was already booked.
I was surprised he wasn’t substituted earlier.
I’m expecting Welsh to start against Hibs.
I still think Scales has been brilliant this season.
He’s been like a new signing.
Celtic have been unlucky that Scales has been forced to constantly change his defensive partner.
That’s also credit to Scales, how he’s coped with the changes all season so far.

He looks as slow as a week in Burtisland and why he didn’t go to Miovski I’ve no idea.
You might remember me saying I heard a stats profile piece at the time saying they’d no idea why Nawrocki or Lagerbielke were signed.
Lagerbielke’s fellow countryman Johan Mjällby who knows a bit about centre halfs also said at the time he was nowhere near ready to be at Celtic.

I’ve just read an article about the sale of Starfelt and the transfer of Lagerbielke.
Should Celtic be asking more questions into the amateur circumstances which took place.
1 - Starfelt is sold and gets an increase in his salary.
2- Elfsborg get a decent amount for Lagerbielke who only played about 25 games for his old club.
3- The Agent for both players gets double commission.
4- Celtic replace Starfelt with an inexperienced player but without much financial gain.
The article is wanting an internal investigation into how and why these decisions were allowed to happen.

Centre Backs should not have to face decent strikers running at them with ball. Defensive midfielder or fullback should be in position or else get into position to help cb . Nawrocki who had been already booked when he missed the sheep player had to be extra careful not to to make tackle or he faced a red card .
If we leave a centre back to have to face one of the best strikers in Scotland with no support we will lose plenty of goals.

Think at some point In a game you expect the striker to run at the cb. the cb picks up the striker its part of the game.

Buzz, Lagerbielke doesn't even LOOK like a defender. You are right on this. Serious questions must be asked. I repeat. Lawwell is a cancer on our club and must leave asap. If people keep on just bumbling on and renewing their season books then nothing will change. Revolution is needed.

Mally the Tally . I don’t recall many times Celtic striker has only one defender in position to stop him running at goal.
My memory isn’t the best so maybe u and others can recall that happening.

I watch quite a few EPL matches in the hope that I eventually see what makes it the greatest league in the World, but that has certainly eluded me so far, as does the occasions when there isn’t someone somewhere in vicinity of cb when he is one on one on a striker rated by many to be one of the best in league.
