I don’t think Rodgers return is as close as some think just yet. Having a chance to win English Championship with less pressure than us and the financial package if he gets them promoted would blow us out the water.
What can he achieve here that he hasn’t already? Ange is hard act to follow and with the bad blood between some of our support and Brendan he could come under more pressure than majority of other guys as our manager.
I get that he is probably safest option and will support him fully if he takes the job I’m just not convinced his appointment is imminent but wouldn’t be the first time I was wrong I really thought we would be going down Maresca route. By all accounts Leeds and interested in same 2 candidates, now Knudsen is available again I wouldn’t mind him being new man at the helm.

Marco if Rogers is STILL only wanting money then Leeds will pay him more despite being relegated.
Brendan will still get a fair whack from Celtic £3/ £4m plus bonuses
We can offer CL football will his ego take over or will he choose second tier English football.

Brendan Rodgers IF he comes in then good not great but good. But Celtic in the past have went left field in all their dealings and kept it in house until its sealed Howe being the exception. There has been a lot off talk about Rodgers coming in I wouldn't be surprised if Celtic walk out with some other manager that has come under the radar.

GGGG do you honestly think someone with the EGO of BR would drop down to the Championship?
If and When BR comes back he will be coming in because he has been given assurances regarding Budget's and how much control he will have I'E no interference from board members.
I'm not exactly happy with the way he left but this is a guy that is a very good manager.

If Rodgers had a problem with Daddy Lawwell or vice versa the deal wouldn't be so far down the line.}

I'm fairly confident that the reason Beale was sacked so quickly was probably due to the low payoff he and backroom would receive.
And it's my understanding that 1 of the reasons he was appointed in 1st place was the very low ball contract terms, termination clauses etc .

Ed, serious question. Any idea why Celtic don't try and hold more concerts at Paradise? Surely this could be quite lucrative. It just seems to be that Hampdump seems to get everything. Obviously most of the year the season is on, but in summer surely we could fit in a couple that would be rewarding. While I'm on it, let's go the whole Hogg. Ticketmaster@Paradise. Yaaaaas! Sorted!
{Ed007's Note - It's cheaper to use Hampden and Celtic probably don't want to damage the pitch. I remember when U2 played Celtic Park back in the 90's and the pitch was a disgrace for months after it.
The Hampden pitch gets more time to repair whereas Celtic Park is used at least once a fortnight sometimes twice a week.}

We can talk about points and ratios all day long, but the sad truth is that the man has not been backed! He can only do with what he's got. What really gets me is that he isn't stupid and wouldn't have returned without assurances. I really can't quite figure it out. This board is a joke and Lawwell has to leave right now! All those saying Brendan out. look a bit higher and you will see guys like PL (He's not the only one) taking all of us for mugs! I genuinely hope that the fans can see through all of this and that the ones in charge get a reality check very soon. Season books come to mind.
