Anyone think IF the window closed right now it would be a successful event? I was hoping to get rid of 5 or 6 players of the book completely. And for atleast 2 new quality players in But then I was hoping to win the lottery also Lol.

One unknown quantity to any area of the pitch not in as much need as others would for me be a terrible window. Manager spoke of his wish and this is nowhere near good enough.

It's been dull to say the least. As much as we all crave new players, like you, I was hoping to get rid of a few of the deadwood. Seems no one even wants any on loan either.

Are we really debating the success of the transfer window so far?
A damning indictment of the head of recruitment and board who appointed him defined his objectives and established his parameters.
The difficult window narrative doesn’t stand scrutiny and is smoke blowing we knew what was needed this time last year and the manager confirmed that when he arrived in summer and has repeated it since ad nauseam.
A season when it’s never been more important to win the league and not to do so will change the Scottish football landscape for years to come. Yet we’re starting the second half of the season with the only recognised left back injured and our one available striker needing a shoulder operation.
Underwhelming at best negligence, incompetence, complacency at worst and evidence of total lack of ambition by the club.

Gucci away on permanent deal that's it but for a few loans. great window . the manager has again spoke if quality and prob our ceiling is 6 to 7m but no-one wants to sell so don't get too excited with the last few days of window.

If we don't win the league this season, boardroom heads must roll.
We will have thrown away 60 million pounds, and gave our closest rivals a much needed life raft.
This would be a result of our boards terrible performance in the transfer market and banning our fans from the stadium.

Beale dropped 9 points before he left.
The Celtic Board had to go One better with Celtic dropping 10 points, without our Ultras.
Celtic have won 11 league games and drawn 1 match with the Ultras in attendance this season.
( 34 out of 36 points )
Without them,
Our results were similar to the lockdown season.

Wee Joe
Absolutely it would be gross negligence from a business perspective in fact I’d start to wonder if there was indeed such a thing as an ‘Old Firm’.
We shouldn’t even be able to see them in our rear view mirror that we’re even discussing whether we’ve enough to win the league beggars belief.
We’ve a chance this season to put our foot back on their neck and create a gap between us and them that would be insurmountable for years to come yet the board have chosen to gamble as they did with the 10 but lost the bet.
I don’t think they understand the assignment.
27 Jan 2024 11:51:57
I sometimes think that the board don't care They will just gamble that we have enough to win the league. It seems crazy that only people that see what is needed is the fans and not the board Do they ever actually watch the games? Or just look at there phones on match day?

Like you say JFP, the league should have already been out of sight.
We started this season with a better team, a better squad, a better manager and an abundance of cash that greatly surpasses any previous season.
However, our board decided to buy 3 CBS, 3 midfielders and 3 wingers and ignore the areas that needed strengthened. Not only that, the next window they bought another winger and are still ignoring the positions we need.
In addition, we have a negative net spend despite taking in over 30 million in transfer fees. This beggars belief.
If that was not bad enough, they banned our fans and turned out stadium into a morgue. Words escape me right now at how inept they are.

Agreed Joseph.

The same people. tell us before the start of every window that it is a disaster. Twice a week throughout the window, they repeat how disastrous the window has been . Of course in their eyes they are right . These same people often go through life with never even recruiting for local pub Dominoes team . All they know is Celtic is bad . They repeat it that often they know they are right.

these ultra's what position do they play, back kicks midfield strikers we lost the points because the team went off form,
27 Jan 2024 14:01:25
And the team went off form because they didn't have the fans cheering them on.
If you are a regular at Celtic park, you will notice that the team respond to the roar of the crowd. It is no coincidence that our form dipped when we banned the fans and picked up when we let them back in.
I think buzz posted the stats and we had 34 points from 36 with fans in the stadium.
