Under 2 weeks to go. 1 signing. We were told we'd be looking for quality signings- ideally for the champions League and to help get the title in the bag.

Not a lot of of speculation or movement seen. Either we are working quietly in the background or we're doing nothing? Not an exiting transfer market so far.

Agreed mate. The only positive is that our first couple of games back should be gimmes so late signings won't have too much of an impact.

Seems like a lot of clubs are struggling with FFP this year. You’d expect Celtic to try and use this to our advantage by spending the money on decent players at a cheap price.

4LC, Kev

If you’re holding your breath I’d come up for air incomprehensible as that may be.

Can't help but notice that our previous manager has been very busy since the start of the January window and it makes you wonder if it boils down to personalities and proper planning between Board and Boss or is it all down to finances and profit margins?
Daniel Levy has never been known as a 'Scatter-Cash' Chairman, but he seems to be backing his manager all the way. Whereas we seem to have regressed to what seems a shackled and skinflint Lawell Dynasty?

Celtic mad

I'm inclined to agree with you.

The two transfer windows BR has had (so far) this time around, pale in comparison to those enjoyed by Ange.

☘️ ? ☘️.

I’m surprised Brendan could be ALLOWING history to repeat itself.
He was clearly frustrated how Celtic done our transfer business first time around and it resulted in him leaving.

Is Brendan being too weak?
Celtic Mad - I agree there’s no way Ange would be stuttering along.

As you know I’ve said before the window opened I was preparing to be disappointed.

We’re 2/ 3 through the window we’ve signed another winger who’s still a work in progress and reportedly sniffing about a K-league midfielder despite what’s at stake.

From our last 19 signings 16 are nowhere near the first team. Lagerbielke bought in summer up for sale in winter Kwon and Tilio on loan £6.5 million between them.

We’ve given the same people more money to go shop in the same markets expecting different results.

You couldn’t write this but I’m hanging fire with my judgement until the fat lady sings on the last day of January although my expectations and thoughts on the board and recruitment team have been well documented although the board and recruitment teams performance has been defended on here albeit by a deluded few who have refused to see past performance as a premise of what was to come.

Cue the board apologists.

Is lagerbielke defintely up for sale or is he available for loan for game time? I can't see how we would spend that amount on a CB and try to sell so quickly, surely 6month on loan to get him valuable minutes.
Everyone can't play week in week out, some of these lads might end up decent look at scales, lad was a write off before he got a sniff.
MJ - had many a sniff but just not decisive enough, player there for sure.
Maeda - we have seen the best of him, his end product is woeful which is a shame because the lad is a top athlete however a race horse can't race every week!
Oh - the lad is enthusiastic and needs game time, he needs a loan playing week in week out in the SPL.
Abada - it's time to cash in on him, he's been great for us but I think he's peaked early and gained many suitors for it, we should sell while we can before he is found out.
Iwata - needs more games, definetly a player there.
McCarthy - basically earned 140k per appearance for us so far, 12 games, useless, loan out or release on a free hasn't worked out.
Turnbull - sell now, he isn't in the first 11 plans, Holm should get his game time.

Once again totally agree JFP. I will say again if a respected striker is not brought in this window we may lose the league and possibly Rodgers again. Like many I simply don’t understand Rodgers coming back and not having a voice on transfers. Baffling. I hope I’m wrong.

Spurs with their big. budget and the lure of playing in London have signed one player more than us . They signed Verner. Who was a bit of a joke figure the last time he was with a London club.
