I was reading a Celtic article last week about 'packing' stats with our players.

'packing' is taking out opposing players with a pass.

The article narrowed it down to 'packing' our opponents defence with a pass.

Palma had top marks and that's why a few have mentioned, he would be better suited to playing as a number 10 with his good vision.

As expected O'Riley had good stats.
It makes sense because Palma and O'Riley have the most assists in our team.

Taylor and Johnston were also good considering they're both fullbacks.

The article mentions that both Hatate and Abada are badly missed because their stats are much better than Maeda and Bernardo.

Maeda and Bernardo were both picked out as our weakest link at seeing a pass, considering their midfield and forward positions.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like both will be replaced anytime soon, with Hatate being injured and Abada effectively on strike.

Bernardo is maybe better at getting beyond the defence and receiving passes because he has a touch the opposite box every 15 minutes and a shot at goal every 27 minutes.

We've said it a few times this season but it's up to Brendan to find a way of getting the best out of the players at his disposal.

All is not lost but it's time to step up a few gears.
One good result and performance will help raise our confidence going forward.

Maedas touch and crossing is some of the worst I have ever seen.

The stats show our problems are multi-faceted. Neither of our current first choice centre halfs Welsh and Scales can pass between the lines at pace which means opposing teams can keep their shape and close us down like the Kilmarnock forwards did to McGregor and O’Riley. The £7.5m centre halfs we bought in the summer were identified as having the same weaknesses by the stats guys who profiled them in the summer so they’re not going to sort it.

Add to that we don’t have a winger among the half a dozen we’ve bought who can get to the byline the one who could was sold for a record sum and the other isn’t playing. Khun looks like he won a raffle to play for Celtic.

Add to that a prolific scorer off the shoulder is playing as a 10 and is having to drop deep to service himself. Consequently we can’t break down a low block and we can’t cope with a high press hence why McInnes has our number and in my view we’re friar tucked. Rodgers sounds like a busted flush.

Like the rest of us I’m hoping against hope we can turn this around given their are only two points of a gap but I’m really struggling to see how given the lack of options the recruitment team have provided Rodgers coupled with his tactics bizzare substitutions and inability to change things.

When the January transfer window closed there was no point discussing recruitment failures Rodgers just had to win the league with what he had and we’ll discuss boardroom failures thereafter. I’m just unable to see how that’s going to come about unfortunately to say the least about the disgraceful situation we find ourselves.

But at least the club turned a profit in the January transfer window with the sale of Turnbull and Idigucci. How embarrassing is that?

There is being positive then there’s false optimism that belies the facts.

Right let’s hear it from the board apologist. I think the good news is that’s largely singular on the forum.

Brilliant Reply JFP.

Khun has won the lottery with Celtic handing him a 5.5 years contract.

You couldn’t right this the two centre halfs are the same.

I keep thinking it’s just a bad dream and I’ll wake up soon.

I did call it on Kuhn before we signed him, I tried to convince myself out of hope other than anything else he would be a success. I really just couldn't see it though.

If I was our coach one of the first things I would do would be to have Palma opera on the right and Kihn if he played to play on tge left. It would be the only way they would have any chance of beating their man and getting crosses in the box.

The Celtic Board have clearly held us back this season or is it all Mark Lawwell’s fault, for signing players in a cheaper market.

I don’t believe any of our summer signings are on more than £12K a week which is downsizing.

Why did our Board choose to downsize this season, especially with the lucrative prize for winning the league on offer?

Meant to be good businessmen ?‍♂️.
