We've been saying all season that our wingers don't take their man on and get crosses into the box.
I don't think we help ourselves by playing both wingers on their unnatural sides.
I know it's strangely how modern day works but it only encourages our wingers to take the easy option and play the back backwards constantly.
I could understand if our wingers were cutting inside and shooting or causing havoc but they don't do either.
Maeda last night just ran the ball out of play in the 2nd half under no pressure with his left foot.
It get embarrassing at times for players when they attempt crosses Etc on their unnatural side and they also don't want to shoot first time if a ball lands at the back post because they want to cut inside on to their good foot.
I know I sound like a broken record because I
mention this continuously but I just don't see any benefits from playing our wingers on their unnatural sides, especially when our strikers are being starved of good or any service.
Looking at Celtic and how we play, it's obvious where our play breaks down and the solution also looks obvious.
Our wingers should be getting to the bye line and putting good crosses on to the head of our big striker or low front post balls that Kyogo loves.
Maybe that's the simple game changer because something needs to change.

We could go the rest of the season unbeaten or lose the next match. We are so unpredictable, inconsistent. It’s so frustrating, I couldn’t tell you who are best winger is.

I’d like to try those electric training collars that they use on dogs! If the wingers do anything other than get to the by line, they get a few volts as a reminder as to why they are wingers. ?.

A good early cross is as effective. The lack of skill and imagination at beating defenders is shocking from our wingers.

Good post buzz. spot on what do defenders hate defending the most. Cross ball's and we very rarely do it we keep possession no doubt but it's safe possession with no threat and the opposition are comfortable. need to start being more brave and more positive in the kast 3rd and it would be nice to see a midfielder actually having a crack at goal.

Unfortunately we sold the one we had. When Turnbull first signed he regularly scored from outside the box with digs and free kicks then like the rest of the squad, he went backwards.

I trust our manager who is actively working with all the available players to have the Experian knowledge of how he wants the game played .
I think that when u have a small light weight striker constantly on the move seeking a ball played into him, that it is pointless having crosses coming from the touch line as the back 5/ 6 defenders will swallow them up constantly and Kyogo won’t get near a cross .
With 6 ‘3” Idah in the middle there is a far greater argument for reverting to traditional wingers who can put ball across, that is if it is within their skills .
Whatever we do with who ever, we need two things to start happening, one we create goal scoring chances throughout game and two we actually convert more of these created chances into goals . It shouldn’t be asking too much of our striker (s) and attacking midfielders to push our scoring up to average 3 per game.

When was the last time our wingers beat the fullback and got to the bye line and cut the ball back.
I’m sure our wingers would find that easier to do, on their nature side or is that too obvious.

Re getting to the line and getting balls into the box, the aim is to disorientate defenders by have them turning and confused as to where attackers are not just about crosses for tall strikers . The problem with our slow build up is that it’s predictable and defenders watch you coming and set themselves accordingly. Getting to the line makes them much more uncomfortable.
