ED007 do you have any current information on the injury front regarding Rogic and El Hamed thanks and also read that Lennon seems to prefer Hart as our new goalkeeper I take it then that Forster has said NO

{Ed007's Note - Rogic could be fit for tomorrow, Elhamed will probably miss tomorrow but should be fine. Forster still hasn't closed the door entirely on a move back up here but we can't hang about for ever.}

Bain is ok as back up but when he had the jersey after a good start the soft goals started . but who knows.

Bain was horrendous in the champions league qualifiers last year. He's a number 2 at best.

It’s not just because Bain might not be good enough the guy had just returned late last season with an angry injury himself he gets an injury that’s us screwed that’s why I was surprised Bain has had most of the play with the keepers we have thought they all would’ve had game time.

I quite like bain he is a good goalie who always gives his best. He should atleast be ahead of any new keeper coming in and make the new keeper fight to be number 1.

If its hart he will be marco, sooner or later. We've been spoiled by forster, bain isn't a bad keeper, with a run of games he'll get better.

Need to bolster back line as well after ditching Simunovic although El Hamed is very able and versatile, he may get injured at any time (much like Rogic) and with Griffiths and Johnston missing as well, we will need another striker on top of the 2, you mentioned, at least.
Meanwhile Bayo and Bolingoli are not up to it IMO and need punted, while wee Dembele could benefit from loan experience?

Think we need more than that BT and I can't see RB being a priority. We have 2 for that position and don't always play 4 at the back.

There are so many questions at this stage leading into the new season. Last year after the break we went 352 and were brilliant. Scoring for fun and winning every week. A big part of that working was LG up top with Eddie. We know what's happened with LG and it's been done to death so this purely a post on the footballing side. We have now played 2 friendlies and have reverted back to the old 4231 system that seemed to have been sussed in Scotland.
If he was planning Eddie and Klimala playing together surely he would have trialed it in the friendlies we have played so far. I thought the 4231 had become stale and boring and I hope it doesn't cost us points at the start of the season. One other thing worrying me is if we are playing that system we have no cover at all for Mo who has shown he can pick up injuries and JF who had barely kicked a ball so far. Mikey is out for what looks like a while and Dembele doesn't look ready yet. Q Christie as back up for anywhere across the 3!

Ideally we would have started a pre-season with several warm-up games (home and away) with first team regulars building fitness and sharpness and fringe players vying to catch the managers eye[ gearing up to a new season.
Instead we have been in a very unique situation with an extra - lengthy lay-off, a delay in any sort of regular training and normal contact, with of course all the other precautions and safety measures required during this emergency.
On top of that we have a couple of players who have fallen way short of fitness, a goal-keeping 'crisis', outstanding Scottish Cup games, CL qualifiers, the usual transfer speculation and possible activity in a 'window' that is out of sync with the schedule plus, zero fans to encourage and cheer-on The Bhoys.
This season was always going to be momentous and demanding, but NL and the team certainly have heir work cut-out while overcoming and dealing with a very unique and extraordinary situation.
The French Friendlies gave some fringe players a chance to impress and there were some good performances to appreciate, however, there were one or two others that didn't show to well and the manager will want to strengthen and maybe loan-out as well?
Onwards and upwards Celtic. HH.

Its a short life in football C.V. or not they should still be training right through it a garden a football, drill, exercise practise etc. Stop there wages if they don't keep up there fitness levels that's there main job. 2 friendlies in not to bad. Game tomorrow see how Kenny puts them out possible.

I agree kev. Which means he probably wont. Which means playing 2 wingers who we don't have cover for. That was the point I was trying to make. We need quality back up for our current first choice wingers. Possible was a 433 bravetart, but tats irrelevant to the point as we were still playing with 2 wingers .

a lot of the arsenal fans saying kt was a steal at 25 mill and this is him only started about 10 games as well he suppose to ripped man city apart at the weekend. this does one thing for us it cranks the price up more on our top talents. why should we accept any less than 40 mill for Edouard now all our top talents that leave now are proving it at the highest level and i think eddy will be next to show them when he gets his move.

El Hamed is a starter every week. The huge doubt is can he stay injury free? This guy can easily play CB or RB . Never seen him have a bad game when he's played. Class act. can't help but think the reason we got him so cheap was because of his injury problems.

agree stevie big el hamed is solid and never does much wrong in matches. he has injury concerns but that aside the big man is class. his injury against Lazio last season was unlucky i could tell he was injured as soon as he made the tackle with the way he went in. young Frimpong has a lot to learn defensive wise going forward he is great but a right back also needs to defend and big el hamed does both at a breeze i would make right back el hamed spot.

El hamed is definitely a quality full back in my opinion and not a centre half as felt he shown this against cluj at champions league qualifier and if we do decide to go 352 next season which worked a treat domestically last season the squad would need to be altered as then there are to many wide players players going for two wing back positions (Taylor, bolingoli, frimpong, el Hamed, forrest, shved, elyounoussi, johnston and possibly young dembele) which seems madness to pay all these players when budgets are very strict.
