On my Christmas list
Gallacher

Should have had Marshall and Dykes also.

Not based on last night but every time we played Livi he ragged dolled us and Marshall was a no brainer to replace Gordon. Better than Bain all day long.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

14 Nov 2020 00:56:40
Dykes is definitely one that got away. You can see in the international games he is able to step up.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 08:40:30
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
If we would have signed those 3 players in the summertime there would have been an out cry.
Rightly or wrongly the club would have been accused of penny pinching.
Looking at there scotland performances however they would have done us a turn.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 10:25:42
Chinks I agree mate. Dykes would of linked up well with Griffiths/ Ajeti.

Marshall should of been signed.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 10:43:12
Another belter by the Celtic Rumours anti football brigade. Lyndon Dykes is a poor footballer. Yes he can jump and win headers. Yes he can hold the ball up but that's ok for a long ball type team.

Celtic play football on the ground he would be usless. Also his goal scoring record is very poor. Maybe a hand full but never a player.

Mind the time you all told me we don't need a CH to play football. We need a nonsense ball winner. Yip that worked out good.
Football has moved on its not the 80s anymore. Educate yourselves.

Agree5 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 11:40:37
Dykes and gallagher nowhere near good enough for us. Both very average players. Marshall is a decent goalie but we could do better.

Agree5 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 12:17:38
So after a few good games for Scotland and against us, some fans would have liked us to go from Dembele - eddy - Dykes . If that’s not downsizing or penny pinching I’m not sure what is . Dykes is hardly pulling up trees in the championship 🙈.

Agree6 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 12:26:27
If we had signed dykes Scotland wouldn't have qualified.
He'd still be waiting to start a game for us and not in Scotland squad.

Agree8 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 12:40:11
Agree with some of the lads. Gallagher, dykes and Marshall on the Christmas list! is that where we are at now! Surely we need better than these guys! Massive pat on the back to the 3 of them for Thursday nite but it’s no for me!

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 13:06:57
Apparently every signing now needs to have a foreign name 🙈 put it this way would you rather spend 3m on Klimala or Dykes?

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 13:25:29
To those who are saying we missed out on Marshall couldn’t have read what he said prior to Thursday nights game “it was never close to happening I wanted to play at the highest possible level so I signed a two year deal with Derby” . I think the championship in England is much better than our top league, just my opinion and we would struggle to get out of it .

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 13:33:17
We need to calm down a bit here as I think the euphoria from the Scotland match is affecting our judgement, standards and ambition. Can I also add that Steve Clarke does not want to be our manager as he is very wary of the sectarian sideshow that other managers have had to endure and tolerate over the century.
One thing I would take from what I've seen of the aftermath of their game and result - is the moral, team spirit and fight that they have and I have really missed at Celtic in recent months.

Ninja by your wisdom the likes of bergkamp are also rotten strikers because they have a poor goal scoring record? Pmsl

A good striker doesn't always score barrel loads of goals, they do all the hard graft and set their striking partner up.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 19:26:45
Dennis bergkamp had a poor goal scoring record! Don’t think so 😆😆.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 20:36:28
It's Denis Bergkamp, not Dennis, his father named him after Denis Law.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 20:54:09
With the crosses we have been putting into the box this season he’d have to stand on hen broons shoulders to get anywhere near them.

Big Buds,
Not every player has to have a foreign name. Very narrow minded answer. Celtic is full of Scottish player's. Scottish player's that can play football are fine.
Ever who pays £3 million for either Dykes or Kilmala needs sacked. Both players bought for a lot less. None of them are good enough for Celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Nov 2020 18:44:46
🤣🤣🤣Berkamp scored 238 senior goals. Dykes has 29 wee bit to go before he's is poor as Berkamp.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Nov 2020 20:39:07
Totally agree McBurnie is not good enough to play for Scotland. He did nothing when he came on last night.
Now that Scotland have qualified I think that we can forget about getting Steve Clarke as he will want to see Scotland through the Euros next summer.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

13 Nov 2020 23:32:17
Think Clarke has already said he is not interested in the Celtic job.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 12:20:55
If and when lennon is being replaced I would like us to go for someone better than Clarke, yes he can get a team organised but are we not meant to be an entertaining side . His football is pretty turgid in my opinion, when a change is made I would hope for someone with high energy and a positive way of playing with an eye for young talented players. Whatever happens after this season there will be a massive change of staff and players.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 14:34:21
I had to laugh at McBurnie refusing to do the huddle with Scotland.
He must be raging the blue room is still bare.
He was still at school when his new club started up,
And they still haven’t won a major trophy. 😂.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 18:20:39
Macburnie is a big usless fud.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 18:49:42
Is it a fact he refused and if so why? If it’s for anything other than a bad back, he should be told to grow up, booted in the bollocks and shown the door!

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 20:37:28
He was doing social distancing, 😂.

14 Nov 2020 21:27:57
Wee Burnie couldn't bring himself to be in the full squad Huddle going into extra time and penalties. Sad but true.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Nov 2020 16:40:45
The Norway captain has tested positive for C. V.
Elyounoussi and Ajer are waiting on their test results and the outcome of who’s to isolate.
If they both have negative results and they’ve been social distancing, they will be okay.
It’s constant drama.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

13 Nov 2020 17:42:04
After the last International Interruption it was crystal clear that the precautions, safety and protection of all the playerswas not as stringent or rigid as our own regime at Celtic.
We half-expected more of the same, because of the amount of players we had sent all over the world and into risky danger zones.
Another decimated squad would be a huge handicap in a campaign already, hindered with injury, CV and other well documented events.
If we overcome all the hurdles, problems and obstacles that have been there since just after opening day, it will be a miraculous triumph. Feck these Internationals btw.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Nov 2020 19:17:18
players aren't social distancing when they are around each other who are they trying to kid. last nights celebration videos from players own social media show that. how daft are these players fair enough it was a great night for the country but to post that is just stupid.

Agree0 Disagree1

13 Nov 2020 20:37:10
Why? They are all tested before the game. Saying that the Croation lad played for 45 minutes and he had it, so why aren't the full Croation team not told to isolate? They all were next to him in the line up for the national anthem and on the park and in the dressing room. The rules are ok for some and not for others.

It looks like Slippy will allow Clancy into Ibrox next Sunday but only as the 4th official.

It's a who's - who Buzz; I don't think I can remember so many with as much well-publicized 'previous' allegiance to Sevco/ Oldco.
Or maybe it was more concealed back in the day?

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Nov 2020 16:58:56
Buzz I can honestly see sevconians having a meltdown after Aberdeen game. Aberdeen are playing very good at the moment and are a good bet to take points off them. Can see Aberdeen getting at least a point.

Agree0 Disagree1

13 Nov 2020 18:10:05
Aberdeen are pish we should have comfortably beat them in the league but horrendous defending cost us. I hope they do beat them but think the Sevconians will win.

Agree3 Disagree0

13 Nov 2020 18:17:24
It’s obvious everyone outside Celtic Park have had enough of our constant success.
Celtic are still on course to win 10 titles in a row and 5 consecutive Trebles.
Now SLY are playing their part in giving the Sevco players an extra day off to prepare for the Aberdeen game.
That extra day is beneficial when your players are travelling back from all over Europe, Africa and South America.
Why else would they not choose our visit to Easter Road where we’ve only triumphed once in about 8 league visits.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Nov 2020 19:52:07
In fairness they are both tasty fixtures. They are allowed to show 4? home fixtures for each club. We have had two so far. Yes you would expect our game to be on but rangers Aberdeen is one of the biggest games in scotland. Hate sky btw!

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Nov 2020 20:17:21
Fifer
You are right about Aberdeen games being tasty affairs.
Before the Scottish government cancelled the earlier Celtic V Aberdeen fixture,
SLY chose to show Livingston V Sevco instead of our bigger fixture.
I could understand them showing their home game against Aberdeen if we were playing a so called bottom 6 club.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Nov 2020 20:39:50
Sly pander to Sevco and slippy. I saw a poll the other day about who was the best manager between Slippy Lampard and Arteta. Slippy got the most yet has won nothing whilst Arteta won the FA Cup and The Charity Shield.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Nov 2020 22:36:33
Ninja1967 you have to make your feelings known to the lodge regarding the ref then they get the ref of their choice . If we made a complaint we would probably get fined.

Baby Dallas is the 4th official in the Dundee Utd V Hamilton game.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 00:34:21
As I said though I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that only 4 home games are allowed for us and rangers. If they showed our home tie v Aberdeen on top of two rangers games and Hamilton there would he none left for us lifting 10 in a row next may! The sky coverage is shocking though. I wonder what pub league delights we will get instead of two of the biggest games in the scottish season.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 08:31:20
Fifer, I think you could be wrong.
In seasons gone by if Hibs or Hearts got into the top 6,
They would show 4 live home games against the big 2 Glasgow clubs.
Then they could potentially have 2 home games in the Edinburgh Derby.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Nov 2020 09:38:42
You are right Fifer.
In the old SLY deal only 4 home games were allowed.
That doesn’t make sense because of my scenario above.
Maybe it only affects the Glasgow clubs due to most of their away games being shown live.

Leigh Griffiths has made a statement and apologised to Lafferty about the misunderstanding on social media.
He never liked a photo because Kyle’s sister had died. That’s just crazy.
He liked the photo because Ireland got beat and Scotland won. Plain and simple.
As usual the Sevco fans want to twist things and make Leigh out to be the bad guy.
Leigh feels himself he’s done nothing wrong and it’s been blown out of all proportion.
My response to a thread yesterday is it’s uncool to mention a spouses lust on more than one occasion to score cheap points.
If you want to have a go at Leigh Griffiths for his behaviour, then I suggest you look in the mirror.
Watch you don’t get a fright.
Zombies can be scary.

The same horrible mob who have sung about the bhoys mental health and hoping he doesn’t play football again! Actually angers me that he’s had to come out and apologise for this! He was having a laugh at the fact lafferty (who’s a clown) and his country failed to qualify! Nothing to do with his poor sister who sadly passed! U have to be not right in the head in the first pace to suggest he meant anything other than to have a laugh at NI not qualifying! But those horrible sods sink to new levels just to shout and scream and be offended!

There was a picture of Kyle Lafferty crying after their defeat last night on social media.
Leigh Griffiths Liked the picture.
Now the Sevco fans are going mental because Kyle’s sister died a few days ago.
Their twisted minds reckon Leigh was mocking Lafferty’s sisters death, which is madness.
Because of all the backlash, Leigh has since came out and defended himself.
He said he liked the picture because N. Ireland got beat and Scotland won and there was nothing more sinister in it.
Leigh feels he hasn’t done anything wrong but is very sorry that Lafferty’s sister had passed away.
Leigh has since stopped his Twitter account.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Nov 2020 18:13:37
I honestly don't understand how anyone can be that stupid to think he was mocking his sister. Only a total moron would come up with that. They are calling griff "sick"but it was their "sick" minds that came up with it.

Agree5 Disagree0

13 Nov 2020 18:27:08
It’s terrible what’s happened to Kyle Lafferty’s sister.
But they shouldn’t be calling people ‘sick’ due to a misunderstanding.
Did these same morons call sleazy Lafferty ‘sick’ when he was caught sending innocent young ladies photos of his private parts?

His hat trick of cup final defeats to Celtic got too much for him in December.
He was the captain on 2 occasions for Aberdeen and is a serial loser, just like his teammates.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Nov 2020 13:10:51
All joking aside he played well doing the dirty work in midfield giving the more talented players like McGinn Calmac and wee Corpus to do their stuff. Clarke nearly blew it by taking off the most influential players. Mcburnie is a waste of a jersey. Gallagher has had really good games and he would be worth a punt to sign him in January.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Nov 2020 13:42:49
Yep he did fine but don't expect any praise for mom Christie or Callum for that matter on the gullibles site as well as the rest of the squad as they're a bit to Timmy for them.

Thought Declan Gallagher played well last night ex youth player KT and McTommany looked no better at the back McBurnie lamppost of a player why he is anywhere near the squad I'll never know. big shout out for the Griff you can only imagine the grief he would have got had he missed. Not much of a spectacle but I did enjoy it a lot of current and ex Bhoys in the team HH.

His subs last night were shocking. I thought he’d blown it big time.
He takes off 3 players who will run all day and replaces them with 3 statues.
As it turned out the 3 players he took off were all penalty takers.
Armstrong is another player who will make constant runs and his confidence is high after a good start to his EPL season but he never got a look in.
Although Clarke got out of jail, there’s no denying the Scottish players definitely play for him big time.

Well done Scotland for qualifying for the Euros.
I thought Clarke got out of jail after his horrendous substitutions.
He severely weakened the side by bringing on John Aldridge and 2 blue noses.
I didn’t realise Scotland are now in the same group as the Auld Enemy.
Tonight was the first time they have beaten the Republic of Ireland in a friendly since 1985 and they still haven’t won a competitive game against the Republic of Ireland since 1980.
I just hope our Scotland heroes can continue that feel good factor when they return to play for Celtic next week.
