How many goals have wee lost this season like Saturday? Ball to back post, goalie caught too close to front post and LB too small to deal with it. Mwell at home, Hearts at home, 2 v Aberdeen in semi off the top of my head. In sure there are more but we need to work out how to stop this as they will throw balls there in final.

{Ed007's Note - Where were our 2 CBs to deal with they crosses, any ball into that 6 yard box should be either the GK's or one of the CBs. Where was AJ on Saturday and why didn't James Forrest track back, where was AJ when he allowed an international team mate to cross the ball TWICE in the Aberdeen game causing both goals?
No mention either of Scales, CCV and Joe Hart' all allowing Dressers a free header either?
We don't have a strong physical presence in either of our CBs, CCV is too small and Scales should be it and does try but he doesn't dominate aerially, none of our defenders are any great shakes in the air - at either end of the pitch - it isn't all down to Greg Taylor's height.
Would Taylor's height be in issue if we had a Balde or Mjallby even a Gary Caldwell in the middle of our defence?
Finally, AJ made Silva look like a £35m player on Saturday, I don't know what's went wrong there but he is a shadow of the player he was and he needs to shape up or ship out.}

We can’t blame Taylor for conceding goals at corners against Motherwell and Hearts.
I think Taylor is a brilliant defender.

Izaguirre for example was very suspect at the back post, although he was good at attacking.
But I reckon Taylor is much better at positioning.

It’s easy to see that Taylor was a central midfielder as a youngster because he plays the inverted full back position comfortably.

100% Edd, a don't think AJ has played well in the sevco games but he cums across as if he goed into tackles 100% so fans seem to think that is enough but as u say a lot of cross balls cums from his area. A don't think he is better than Ralston.

{Ed007's Note - The way AJ has been playing for months now there certainly isn't much of a difference AND Ralston is probably one of the best crossers of the ball we've got.}

Said before that I was glad to see Tony Ralston come on. He may not be every ones choice, but for me he gives good solid defending. Also can get beyond winger and put crosses in. AJ hasn’t been the same since he came back from that injury on international duty, and that was over a year ago. Dressers goal was pathetic, two CBs and a GK in the same square metre as one striker and not even a jump or challenge. That defence is an accident waiting to happen in the CL.

I have been preaching for months that Taylor isn’t getting a fair deal from some of our fans . The problems have been often like Saturday, the time and space given to the opponent to place his cross where it is hard to defend. On Saturday Taylor was definitely fouled .
IMO I think BR has been reluctant to play Ralston because he is keen to put in a tackle and I think BR is worried that Ralston’s is likely to have fouls awarded against him because if any defender thinks of tackling Scottish elite referees give frees like confetti and Brendan is worried about our ability to defend.
