See their financials are out, hard to believe they have a bigger wage bill than ours but it shows our astute signings from the Asian Market have been a masterstroke (in the main) Great assets for the club and tied down to long term contracts importantly.
My question was if the 70mill we had banked was pre champions league mone y? So we should be boosted by a bit more?

Celtic announced we had £72.3 Million.
Celtic also made about £9 profit from the summer transfer window after June 30th, which should take our bank balance to just over £80 Million.

The Celtic Turnover for this season will be over £100 Million again with another decent profit.

But at what stage will the Celtic Board decide is time, to start spending decent cash on the playing side to help take us to the next level.

Surely they are going to be in a deficit next year after no champions league money and no notable assets sold, plus paying off Beale and his team .

I would expect a huge loss next year Quinn.

Unless they win the league and cup.

Don’t be kidded we’re up against a resurgent Ragers Mark 2 under a decent manager who appears to be getting a tune out of them.

The biggest threats to our season are thick Mick’s sacking our board and recruitment team and VAR.

The club made a hor$es ar$e of the last three transfer windows so even if funds are released by the board I’m not certain how wisely it will be spent given the last window no shows we bought at significant cost Kwon, Tilio, Nawrocki, Lagerbeilke not to mention Idiguchi, Bernebei et al beforehand.

My hope is regardless of our board’s incompetence and lack of ambition is that we have an elite manager in Brendan Rodgers and a squad which is better than theirs and hopefully good enough as it stands.

Mawrocki has been injured and looks to be a very good player. Looking forward to him coming back in soon.

I'm expecting our turnover to be around 150 million this year, which is nearly double Sevco's best year of 88 million revenue.

There are plenty of signs of green shoots appearing out of the transfers in that we had last summer . It’s traditional to blame the Board who are not responsible for the individual transfers . I have heard nobody of importance blame the bird for the amount the budget was for transfers . B R admits Celtic have to get rid of some players before they take in more . We cannot give the detailed and personal coaching and training we have so many, . I am very excited with Yang Palma, Hleb, Tomaki and Bernardo with OH also showing good form, we also have 2 c b who looked good before their injuries .
We have had a very tough opening 3 mths with surprising leavers and long term injuries have cost us to rush some new players on to team a bit early.

I reckon Celtic could reach a £120 Million Turnover this season and the Sevco Turnover will drop to about £70 Million.

Were they not looking at paying for the hotel/ museum and the Barrowfield upgrade through cash? Probably explains the reason we're currently cash rich.
