My only gripe is its too cryptic, they should just come out and say what we all know. They did not get 55, they are a new club and this is their first major trophy and it should be Lawwell who delivers it.

I think some one would have to be really thick or dose not have a clue about Scottish football to not get what Celtic are saying. I just wish they would press the SFA to make the same statement about them being a new club with one and only trophy.

If you buy match programmes, you will have noticed that in 2012 they stopped doing the “previous history” of the opposition. I took that as their way of avoiding saying new club. They also stopped using the offensive OF term at the same time.

Someone in the media team has probably been sacked for it this morning I reckon. Celtic aren’t brave enough to speak out.

thanks for your responses lads. i will still go with someone who is not afraid to upset people, unlike our board who constantly say nothing. that mob have broke every rule in the book, 5 way agreement. 2 parties, ebts, lanarkshire referee syndicate, but if that is what you expect from the club then it is no surprise what happened this season. Ed commented on it earlier but the Cops did nothing on Sunday. Whether at Ibrox, George Square, Larkhall, Blantyre and the list goes on.

I've been told via a Police officer who was on duty on Sunday that they simply did not have the numbers to deal with the Neanderthals in Glasgow and Lanarkshire.

I hope the Scottish Government and the Police look at this and do something before we play them on the 21st or I'd be implementing our own security measures at Celtic Park to prevent the knuckledragers from doing further criminal damage.

Its being discussed by the fish and the police about the game against us . It took some amount of effort from all the other parties for her to even mention Sevco and then she had to mention us I wouldn't say she was a Sevie but I would say she is scared to say anything bad about them IMO And still nothing about the party 5.

TonyBhoy I agree 100% she doesn't want to say anything to upset that lot, she's got Scottish Independence in her eyesight. And the deluded lot, who worship the queen and proudly raise the Union Jack, unfortunately can't see the bigger picture in Scotland. So she will try to butter them up any way she can, in hopes of a YES vote. Unfortunately this is met upon deaf ears. Be aswell just shipping them all down south. I've looked at the statistics involving a few goalkeepers due to the speculation that Celtic are looking at Hibs keeper Marciano.
Marciano is no better than Bain.
But I think Dundee Utd Siegrist could be the answer to our problems.
Barkas and Bain have only had 47 saves between them in 27 league games this season.
Compare that to Siegrist who's had 41 saves in his last 6 league games.
Marciano has had 67 league saves this season compared to 120 from Siegrist.
I believe Dundee Utd would be fighting a relegation battle if it wasn't for their keeper.

As you're Buzz aware I mentioned Siegrist on Sunday.
The way things are going we'll need a new No.1 and back keepers for next season.

I'd be more interested in save percentage. he has made far more save due to the fact he faces far more shots. I'd assume this is the same if you compared man City goalkeeper to Sheffield utd.

The Dundee Utd keeper has a 78% save rate in the league.
Marciano has 73%.
Bain 72%
Barkas has a shocking 62%
Hazard of Celtic actually has a 92% save rate in only 5 league games.
McGregor has an 86% save rate in league games but that drops to 70% when European games are added.

Buzz - I try not to judge SPL keepers against Celtic or Sevco as they always raise their game.

I do look at performances when I can when they play against their own level in terms of opposition. Now recently Dundee Utd lost by 5 or 6 goals against St Mirren who are not remotely prolific - did anyone see how Siegrist performed in that game?

Barkas may well come good if he gets another chance or if he even wants one but I feel that no SPL player at a present is worth considering for Celtic as there is no improvement in what we have at the club.

Buzz utd are mince and constantly under pressure, every save on Sunday he should have made, contrast that with bain he had one save of note and made an arse of it and got lucky. I'd give marshal a 2 year deal he's 35 but imo still very good just look at sevcos keeper. I think we should have signed him last year and saved the 5 mill.

Siegrist only made ONE save against St. Mirren and conceded 5 goals.
Recently against Livingston he made 9 saves.
Against Sevco he made 7 saves and then on Sunday he made 12 saves.

I’ve just noticed that Siegrist never played against St. Mirren when his replacement keeper only made one save.
It’s the only game he’s missed since November.
It probably shows how much Dundee Utd have depended on him this season.
