Anyone seen Anne Budge's proposal on league reconstruction? I think it's a decent proposal and hopefully it gets voted through👍.

It might well be. But where were here proposals for reconstruction when they were doing well?

The only problem with a league of 14 clubs when the crowd is back is the clubs in the bottom 8 will only get the chance to play the big 2 once each at home before the split.
The top 6 will get double that.
You might find it will be the same clubs reaching the top six every season because they are taking in double the gate money than the bottom 8 clubs from the big 2,every season.
At the moment the bottom 6 are only one home game down against the Glasgow clubs but I think a bigger divide could appear between the other clubs if they are bringing in double the gate money from these matches.

On a plus side for a 14 team league
Clubs won’t need to travel to the same ground for a third time in the one season.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2020 20:31:23
Why does there have to be a split?, what was wrong with the 18 team top league,?, I have forgotten.

I agree aindoh fir me Scottish football has been on a downward spiral since 78 and the inception of the premier league.

After reading Chris Suttons response to Gareth McCauley I just wish there was more like him working in the media but I wonder why that isn't the case.

Just love the way Chris Sutton shoots these half-wits down in flames and is always quick to defend our club.
For many a long year we had the grin and bare it ex-players who kept their true opinions to themselves; not wanting to fall foul of authority.
Then in the other extreme we have the turn-coats who spew criticism and apologist-grovelling for SLY (You all know who they are) .
However, here we have a guy who pulls no punches, takes no crap and puts them firmly in their place, HH CS.

In: Forster, Elyounoussi/ Roberts/ Ibe, Turnbull, Ferguson, Hickey/ Meling, Rannochia

Out: Gordon, Hayes, Bolingoli, Ajer, Ntcham

Food for thought peeps.

Any takers?

No chance that we will bring in 9 players . Hopefully we only release or sell those desperate to leave and whom we are offered a fantastic price for them. I hope that doesn’t include Ajer or Ntcham or even Hayes for that matter.
It’s hard enough to attract quality players without us letting some go without a fight.

Simple question for everyone given that transfer speculation is beginning emerge who would you ( the supporter} prefer

a) Forster if affordable, Bain or A. N. Other

b) Benokovic, MacKenna or Denayer

c) Elyouanossi, Fraser or stick with Johnston.

d) Play Shved, Dembele or buy A. N. Other

e) O'Donnell, Soppy or give Frimmpong a full season and find out how good he is

f) Hold on to Edouard Buy A. N. Other or give what we have a chance.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - a) Forster. b) None of them. c) Elyounoussi. d) Tough one but I'd say A. N. other e) Frimpong is never a RB/RWB so I'd go for Soppy there. f) Hold Edouard but we still need a bare minimum of one striker brought in.}

26 May 2020 20:30:30
A) Forster with bain as number 2.

B) Benkovic made of glass
McKenna is a carthorse
Deyner has knock us back more than once so shouldn't get another chance

C) Elyouanossi
Johnstone isn't good enough and far to lightweight

D) Another or push frimpong up the field as he isn't a defender

E) o'Donnell is no where near good enough.
Frimpong isn't a defender
Soppy I don't know much about
Remember we have Elhamed, hopefully he can stay fit.

F) hopefully hold on to eddy and paired with griff. Have the polish bhoy as back up with one more brought in.

26 May 2020 21:39:08
A Forster b none c would love Fraser but we can't afford him and Johnston is good but has a lot of improving to do d play both or they will leave an dembele is the clubs future so needs atleast cup games E odonell is crap hence why we let him go soppy looks good but young and raw for ten in a row maybe bit part player and frimpong isn't a defender he's too small. F hold on to eddy at all costs and we have spent money on too many did strikers play who we have and if they don't show there worth punt them.

27 May 2020 08:28:38
I think Johnson will change a few minds next season. I seen him interviewed recently and noticed he has out on some muscle already during lock down so he has obviously been working on his strength. He has bags and bags of ability that boy and has already showed it at times.

Stay fit and be more consistent and gain strength is all he needs to do and he is a young winger. Consistency will come. I think he could be a big player for us next year.

Today I got in touch with my "Feminine" side

With lockdown blues setting in I asked Mrs T for help. She gave me a haircut, in the auld Glasgow vernacular A BALDY.
Then out came the foot spa and Mrs T gave me a pedicure (posh name for cutting my toenails and removing hard skin lol) as a diabetic I need to be careful of my feet, and I have to admit I ENJOYED the whole pampering.
Just a wee haircut and toe nails cut but it cheered me up and made me feel a whole lot better.
I would recommend it to anyone stuck indoors during this crazy virus as it really does lift the spirits.
I am now off to listen to Woman's Hour on the radio lol.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Nowt wrong with a good pedicure, Timbo. I've not got much feeling below the knee in my left leg so I get one very couple of months.}

26 May 2020 16:00:39
I was waiting on you laughing at me ED007 lol
Yes I attend podiatrist every 5 weeks but obviously have not seen her in months so today was good, hope you and yours are keeping OK and staying positive.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - We're doing OK mate thanks and the same to all of you. Just be a bit wary if they pull out wax or that Veet stuff!! I came home from the football one night steaming and fell asleep on my chair with no top on so Grotbags thinks it'd be a laugh to put Veet on my chest, unluckily for me at that point her wee sis phoned and she was so busy sitting in the kitchen gabbing she forgot what she done until I woke up screaming in agony - I was not a happy chappy I can tell you!
I did get my own back a few weeks later by cutting a clump out her hair while she was sleeping 😁

26 May 2020 16:46:02

She wouldn’t have any hair left. 😂.

Sevco have this fascination of playing players who are at the end of their careers.
Recently a report stated they only played players under the age of 22
In 1.7% of their games.
Celtic was way up at nearly 20%.
I think Celtic have got that decent balance between youth and experience. 👍.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I thought we'd have been higher than that.}

26 May 2020 18:07:00
So did I,
Is that stat for last season or last 8 years? If it was last season ajer was 21 and played most of our games.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2020 19:20:08
It was last season Wyllie
Celtic had 18.7% of game time for players under 22 years old.
Hearts had the highest at 20.6%.

There’s a report that Southampton are wanting Ntcham.
Would you be open to a deal being completed if it means we keep Forster and Elyounoussi for at least another season?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 May 2020 09:16:16
Ntcham is worth more than Forster and Elyounoussi, put together, not only in financial terms but in value to the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2020 09:47:53
I don't want to lose Ntcham. He has an awful lot to give in my opinion. I would think that forster and elyounoussi joining permanently is more a question of their personal decisions and less whether or not southampton would accept any bids.

Would be nice to see both Ntcham and Elyounoussi get a full season with us. Both strong, quick and technical.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 May 2020 10:45:05
would love ntcham to stay but don't think the lad wants to be here anymore wants to move to a better league. I would use him to get fraser and elyounoussi.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2020 11:04:24
If your asking me if I would rather have big Forrester in the starting 11 from next season over ntcham it’s a no brainer! The goalie has been sensational for us and ntcham while being talented turns up when he feels like it! I can can’t on one hand how many times I’ve seen ntcham dominate a game for us and on the flip side I’ve lost count how many times big Fraser has bailed us out in big matches!

Agree5 Disagree0

26 May 2020 11:16:37
I would hope the club are ambitious enough to try get Forster and keep Ntcham.

Agree3 Disagree0

26 May 2020 11:44:12
I don't think Nchamp is worth more than the two players on loan. I think a straight swap would be a great deal for Celtic as I don't think we would pay the 15-20 million Southampton would probably value the 2 players at. I would be happy with 12 million for Nchamp, he's a good player but for me he only plays well when we do. In games we are struggling he never shows up. We have midfielders who can pull out the stops in those situations but Nchamp hides if it's a dog fight. And we have Christie who is a better all round player in my opinion to slot straight back into that place. We will problably have to sell one player with the financial implications of C.V. Of the players interesting other clubs that are of serious value, Eddie, Macregor, Ajer, Nchamp, either Ajer or Nchamp or both would be the ones easiest replaced I think.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 May 2020 11:46:13
Anno times are hard but id keep him and push the boat out and sign both bhoys . for a once in a lifetime achievement plus the spin off if we do it will pay for them.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2020 14:22:03
We need Ntcham in the midfield alongside McGregor and Christie, Brown should be the non playing captain, everyone has short memories, we only ended up 13 pts ahead because The rangers collapsed, I would rather go for a young up and coming goalie than Forster, who flatters to decide.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2020 15:28:14
Celtic dropped only 10 points in 30 league games
There was no way Sevco could sustain that kind of consistency.
Celtic finished with 80 points which would have been enough
Points to have won any of our 9 titles in a row.
The Consistency Kings.

I think Ntcham wants to leave and for that reason only a straight swap for both players would be a good piece of business IMO IF possible.
