That would guarantee 10 (not that I doubt it) and make it an even bigger party with players that truly get what it means. Brown, forrest, mcgregor, duffy and mclean in our squad would leave no stone unturned in our quest for 10. I know a lot of foreign lads get it but it can't hurt to have as many big hearts in the squad as possible.

Unlike the pub league down south the Germans seem to be recognizing the talent in Scotland. Imagine if they all make the grade. Scotland will be World Cup contenders in 8 years! It's good to dream.

That's another one that got away. He was on our books as a kid apparently - sound familiar?
Obviously we cannot compete with Bayern Munich and the like in cases like this, but it would have been a terrific signing.
Seeing stuff about Eddy being linked to Villa as well - at a time when we should be adding quality - I hope that's just speculation?

Meant they've already taken Morrison and was talk of Hepburn. I'd assume they and other German clubs will be looking to snap up more young scottish players. If some of them make it we could have a strong national team in the future. Is Hickey not both footed anyway so would also be an option at right back.

I personally don't think we will sign him I hate to be pessimistic but I just think the loan fee for 1 season is too high and I don't think PL will sanction that. I think PL will be thinking put another mill or two and we can get a perm signing in on lower wages. That's just my opinion though.

Marco, look at Bayo, Balde, Bangura, Shved etc. They were all roughly the same price and you'd probably struggle to scrape together a full season's worth of games between them. If he's going to come in and be the dominant CB we need then why not pay the money?

If we manage to get Duffy and Hickey as reported today, it will be a fantastic 'window' and although we may sell Ntcham (I'd rather it was Rogic) , we can still go back in for Turnbull in January for cover?

See wee Dembele mentioned a lot about leaving. Think its just a rumour that's growing legs. Question if he leaves next summer would Celtic still receive a development fee and if so what kind of money would we receive.

{Ed007's Note - It's a complicated system but off the top of my head we'd get between 220,000 and 260,0000 Euros:

Between the ages of 12-15 (4 years) the compensation is always paid at UEFA Category 4 level of 10,000 Euros per season and between 15 and 18 (3 years) at UEFA Category 2 level (Celtic are in Cat 2) of 60,000 Euros per season. 3 years at 60k + 4 years at 10k = 220,000 Euros.
If the player moves to a higher category club (Category 1 is 90,000 Euros per season and in Europe only England, France, Germany, Holland, Spain and Italy have Category 1 clubs) then the costs are worked out on the average which is 75,000 Euros so that would give is 3 years of 75k + 4 years of 10k = 265,000 Euros.}

Well when you look across over teams in other leagues and they play 16/ 17yr olds when they have the ability then I'm sure he's questioned why he is so hyped yet has few appearances, especially starts.
However I'm sure he will sign a contract after he is used more often this season, if not then its clearly a Celtic issue in progressing its top talents into the first team, we've already seen a few slip away with no financial return.

Cheers Ed superb information as per usual. Not 100% convinced the boy will make it to the top of the football tree as predicted by many. Will have a career in football but i don't think it will be at the top table.

After what happened to Frimpong at Rugby Park last season I think we need to wait until he bulks up a bit yet. Fantastic prospect just not sure he is physically ready to go up against some of the hackers in our league.

Hickey is built like a cigarette yet nobody deems him not bulky enough to play for us, strange comments, dembele needs to play and he will prove his worth, its that simple.
