Hope we get Barcelona in the qualifiers 😅😅.

Mally they'd probably beat us 9-8.

Bit of karma, they’ve been doing it’s to others for years (with the help of there 3 million pound per week wage bill) 🤨.

That Spanish league is a joke.

the mighty barcelona 2-8 bayern.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Weirdly I think Ajer and Julien would contain Bayern's forward line easily.

Only with strong tranquillisers 🤭.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Aug 2020 10:58:03
Surely to god wee wouldn’t have got beat 8 2 at paradise off them. The no fans in the ground helps the away teams me thinks .

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The CL matches are being played in Lisbon so both teams are away from home.}

15 Aug 2020 12:14:20
Exactly.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 18:32:50
I do not understand how Gerrard McAllister and el fluffalo are aloud to go to a pub on the same day as the Aberdeen players yet its okay for them and the Aberdeen boys have been hung out to dry and been fined and the sheep games postponed. strange indeed with boli I have no complaints about his criticism of going to Spain then not saying anything to the club he is a fool only gripe with that is he was in contact with both Celtic and Kilmarnock players yet its only our games postponed.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

14 Aug 2020 19:01:13
I accept Boli left us wide open, but I really think the establishment are showing their hand, on how they will deal with any Celtic related incident for the rest of the season.
The postponement of Aberdeen's game I can understand because their whole city is in lockdown and two of their players tested positive after disobeying social distancing and other said infringements.
On the other hand, Celtic - after two negative tests for all concerned (including Kilmarnock staff) - are being punished solely for the stupidity and arrogance of Boli.
Games, postponed, player charged by police, SPFL AND SFA charges and all the while TRIFC 2012 are totally untouchable.
I am certain this and all future leniency and blind-eyes are as a direct result to the dosser's dossier that also went quietly into the night without the relevant exposure and consequences due.
Once again; I am not excusing Brainless Boli, but I am sure this is the start of the 'Stop The Ten' mentality from the suits.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 19:11:04
Do you think LG will get dealt with the same for his constant breach of club policy?

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 19:08:13
Ed what is your unbiased opinion on what may come our way due to Boli's stupidity?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Probably a fine and a rap on the knuckles.}

14 Aug 2020 20:05:35
ed was is your view how the new club have not had not one single word says about them even though there manager and player did the exact same as Aberdeen players.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm not surprised after their mess up with results before the Dundee Utd friendly was brushed aside.}

14 Aug 2020 20:44:09
Is no one allowed to go to pubs now. I can't keep up with all the regs now. I thought you were allowed to go to pubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 20:50:53
I hope Celtic don't accept any punishment as these rules are being made up after the event.
The season ahead is going to be a total farce if it carries on like this.
I think the football authorities have been so scared of losing the Sky contract that they have wanted the game brought back at any cost, instead of negotiating a realistic approach they've basically allowed the Scottish government to decide if a team can play or not, regardless of whether any player has the virus or not.
I don't think it's realistic or fair to hold club's responsible for what rogue players get up to when they are away from their work. Unless someome from the club goes home and stays with them then unfortunately they can do what they like.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 21:39:13
Gerryc I agree mate, to be honest I don't know if any punishment would be enforceable as the event happened before any legislation was drawn up by SFA.

What I would like to know is why Sevco are not being investigated. They broke rules and risked lives with their testing breach.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Surely Dundee Utd are as liable as TRIFC for taking part in a match that didn't meet the regulations?}

14 Aug 2020 23:57:50
The rule is no more than 4 households together is it not. Aberdeen was 8 households

Rangers was 3 . END.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2020 08:55:55
It's all nonsense these rules. What if the Aberdeen players had gone out in two groups of 4 and they happened to end up at the table next to each other. Plus they are in a social bubble so surely groups from different households doesn't matter as long as they are distancing from everyone else. They were daft to go to the pub but the reaction has been very over the top. Who's to say they actually caught cv at the pub. They could have caught it before and then trained and played sevco so surely everyone should be isolating. I know tests are done before but with this 14 day period surely that's pretty worthless? This season could end up even more of a farce than it is already.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2020 00:42:14
@ed007 I thought I added them as well mate, got distracted while typing lol.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Aug 2020 10:40:29
The Sevco fans are claiming their club is not to blame for playing 9 untested players against Dundee Utd.
They are claiming the lab were late with their testing results.
If the lab were late with their testing results- why was the Sevco v Dundee Utd game allowed go ahead?
And why was it swept under the carpet by the SFA/ SPFL when the club ( not one individual ) were clearly in breach of protocol.
The rules simply don’t apply to Sevco.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2020 11:01:21
With Sevco it is always someone else's fault, they can't accept any responsibility for anything.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Aug 2020 12:17:53
Chris Sutton doesn’t miss the authorities in his column today, no sitting on the fence always straight to the point.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2020 12:19:49
@ Lubomir and Marco. I think part of the issue is that they were dishing out autographs and you can’t do that 2 metres away for their fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The issue is that people involved in football matches shouldn't be out in the pub, what's the difference with the TRIFC management team & their DOF being sitting in a pub and the Aberdeen players?}

15 Aug 2020 13:20:08
Was that story true about Gerrard Mcalister and Morelos I thought someone was making this up. So did the 3 of them goto the pub together.

Morning Ed. 21 year old French left footed defender Malang Sarr. He’s a free agent just now. I haven’t seen him in action. Do you know if he’s good? Apparently can play CB or LB.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Malang Sarr (CB/LB) is in talks with Bayer Leverkusen about a move and Borussia Mönchengladbach have also declared an interest. RB Leipzig have another target who is seen as a Dayot Upamecano replacement but have Sarr in mind as an alternative.
He's a cracking player but is way out of our price range and I doubt he'd be interested in moving to Scotland.}

14 Aug 2020 12:22:44
Cheers mate. I thought that it looked too good to be true.

Bit of a difference is sitting in a beer garden to going to Spain for a day. To compare the 2 is embarrassing.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Both are breaches of the government's regulations and guidelines for football. Why were Aberdeen games called off for players going to a pub yet Morelos and Gerrard have both been pictured doing the same thing? There's no priorities in the regs, they are laid out for everyone connected to football to follow whether that's in your own home, going to the pub or leaving the country.}

14 Aug 2020 13:11:18
Ed did Gerrard and morelos go to a pub. I am only asking as I haven't seen anything reported. I don't read the papers and get my celtic news from celtic sites.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Yes. Gerrard and McAllister were pictured in a pub the day they played Aberdeen and Morelos has been pictured visiting a pub as well.}

14 Aug 2020 13:17:22
The whole handling of these breaches have been inconsistent and very dubiously slanted. First of all there was the Sevco pre-season game were zero tests were provided - no action or even an official report or condemnation; Aberdeen players go out partying - two of the eight test bloomin positive - they are isolated, there is a scandal and the first minister criticises publicly.
Celtic player goes awol behind the clubs back; news breaks - two sets of tests carried out for Celtic and Kilmarnock squads thankfully come back negative. National uproar and calls for points docking; First minister declares Aberdeen AND Celtic games suspended - even though we have no trace of the virus, but we have a stupid, irresponsible player charged by the police to boot.
Honestly don't know when More-or-less was pictured, but hey-ho it's only a bear havin a beer . What's all the fuss ha ha.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 15:16:06
9 rangers players broke protocol by playing whilst test results weren't received till later that night and get a slap on the wrist after a so called investigation. Social media pics as ED says of them breaking protocol nothing done . This season will go into cold storage due to loads of players flouting the regulations and caught by camera on social media. We are still waiting on Park and Robertson being charged By both the SPFL and the SFA for their pathetic dossier. Also still no punishment for storming the gate at rugby park and nearly killing their own disabled fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

Will there be action taken against the sevco then? Surely pistol pete won't sit back and allow it. then again?

What boli done was different, he broke the law, u don't need to quarantine after going to the pub, that's why he was charged.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 16:38:44
Just heard that the 8 Aberdeen players and Boli have been charged with 'bringing the game into disrepute' by SPFL' I know Lawell has no defense regarding Boli being a horses arse, but once again he goes very, very quiet when it comes to pointing fingers at Sevco.
What do TRIFC 2012 have on our CEO that keeps him in check?

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 18:34:40
But slippy and his minions still broke the deal of quarantine rules by going to pub. They are no better than aberdeen 8. can't defend our idiot at all. He is a clown pure and simple. But hey ho, the sevvies will get off. AGAIN.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 00:38:07
Before the season started I think most bhoy's wishlist included a ST, winger, CB, LB and a keeper. If the rumours of Duffy and Barry Douglas are true we will have filled every position with the added bonus of punting Boli. Can't remember a transfer window that efficient in recent memory 🤔.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

14 Aug 2020 07:26:30
Douglas would be a great signing if true but he plays all the time so can't see it.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 08:00:02
BB

It will only be efficient if it is a good LB and CB, happy with GK ans ST mind you.

Roll on barry douglas.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 09:02:55
Although he is a self confessed blue nose I think Barry Douglas would be a great signing for Celtic.
He has experience playing in Poland and Turkey and I think he helped both Wolves and Leeds win promotion to the Premiership.
Douglas will be 31 years old next month and I think he still has a couple of big years left in him.
He only played 15 league games for Leeds last season and only 4 were 90 minutes.
With Leeds getting promoted they will probably be interested if Celtic are showing interest in Douglas.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 09:53:32
Good player. injured a lot.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 10:09:29
A natural left sided player has to be brought in to replace Hayes and Bolingoli. Whether it's Douglas (although I really fancied Hickey) ?
I don't think Moi is a winger and Taylor needs support/ competition.
The transfer window would be a huge success if we address that and also add a quality Centre Back this week. Then we would have two full sides capable of enduring the demanding and hectic schedule of 20/ 21.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2020 13:12:34
Kenny Dalglish was a current bun but we signed him and he did not too bad for us.

The home fixture- 2020 Scottish Cup Semi
The next away fixture on January 23rd is the same weekend as the 2021 League cup Semi final.
