He had his best season when he played at Basel in a No:10 role and the guy playing in front of him was Ajeti, the scored a barrel load together.

I agree Jonbhoy, I think he can play in a few areas of the pitch but a free role/ No.10 behind the striker (s) is probably his best position.
I wonder if the new Coach coming in could get him and Ajeti back to where they were with Basel?

He's the best player in Scotland when he's fit and on his game. Hopefully we get him permanently and we build a team around Him Forrest Calmac Soro Welsh and Turnbull. The young lad on loan at Ross County ( a left footed defender) is getting good reviews and a left footed defender is what we badly need so hopefully he makes the grade.

It's refreshing to be able to post about a good team performance this week. I must say I am more and more impressed with Stephen Welsh with each week that passes. I though he had another terrific game yesterday. Hopefully we can see more of the younger players stepping up and taking their first team opportunities with both hands.

Eddy has always looked uninterested and no the best body language but when he scores nothing gets said about it but when he's no scoring everyone jumps on it.
Hes a class player but definitely needs a griff up top with him cause I can't see him scoring 20+ every season in england or another top league but he'll get a good goals/ assist combined average.

Eddy has been off all season. The way the French lads have acted would put me off going for them again. I mean look at ntcham the guy is a disgrace! Him and eddy downed tools long ago and l said that on here a number of times. Also feel other clubs will see that and l think it going to have a big affect on the transfer fee we get for him.

I think you are being too hard on him, I think he plays well, he is just missing the chances, all strikers go through these lean periods, his game hasn't been helped by an under performing midfield, the midfield has been the problem for this season and last. I know it will be better next season.

Iv been saying it for years about French players and their attitude if they don't get their way. I spoke about on podcast. We should have our scouts look at a different market for players as we will be be going down the same route again if we buy French players again.

Paul, Dembele and Edouard are probably the 2 best strikers we've had since Larsson so as much as their huffing and puffing can be frustrating, there's some serious talent to be had.

The Celtic board are opening themselves up to an almighty backlash if they appoint Kennedy or Keane, as neither of them have much support from the fans I know.
The same can be seen on social media with loads of fans wanting kennedy removed from all first team duties.
My personal view is Kennedy has not proven himself as a manager, so appointing him would be a huge risk. If he wants to manage celtic he should leave and cut his teeth at another club. If he shows he has what it takes then by all means consider him at a later date.

Kennedy will not he appointed. Even our board of ambitionless ditherers wouldn't do that. As soon as they eventually appoint someone, their full focus should be on interviewing for a new board. Every single one of them complicit in allowing Lennon to Remain in post after September, are useless to us if we ever want to fulfil the potential the club has. I take comfort in the go cheap and hope Lawell going. But they all should. They were either party to the decision to not act, or were utter rubbishbags who meekly went along. We need neither. I was initially against Howe getting in h8s D0F, but thinking about the board of shoelookers, could he do any worse than that shower 8n judgement? I don't think that's even possible.

Seriously though, this season has been a disaster, fans are fickle (myself included) but we cannot forget what has taken place here, from the board down to the players - utter shambles.
What it has done though is present the board with an opportunity to rip it up and start again.
If they choose Kennedy I'd expect a backlash from a large section of the support because he'd be a cheaper and less experienced option than NL and if we go with Keane, well JFP can articulate opinion on that one far better than I.
We should and I hope are talking to individuals (Coaches) who have the ability, experience and know-how to take Celtic forward and can play the type of football associated with our club. At the same time they will need to do this whilst putting in place a rebuild of the first team - not an easy task.
I fear the longer it takes for an announcement (D. O F/ Coach) to be made the less options we will be left with.
Terry Thomas needs to pull the proverbial oot the hat.

Nothing wrong with positivity he should be positive it's his job. I want us to be brass and cockey we are gd enough. If he puts out the same team against them we should win. And let's see if rangers as I thought they would be are a one hit wonder. They can go on about the league being the most important but every cup game is important that's the Celtic way. Since the mitigating circumstances helped rangers win the league C.V. the speed the spfl and the rest dealt with Celtic granted due to there own stupidity was shocking and actually quick for them. But when it comes to the rangers they drag there heals the amount of time it's taking them to throw the book at rangers the season will be done. Maybe buzz or @ED007 would know the stats of the days months etc after breaking C.V. rules how long it took the guverning bodies to deal with you C.V. breaches.

It took 18 days for the 2 Sevco players disciplinary hearing to be heard back in November.
It was 19 days for the Bolingoli hearing.
27 days for the Aberdeen Eight.
And it took 44 days to hear the latest Sevco players disciplinary hearing.
Because the club shamefully appealed the decision, it will now take the SFA 65 days to conclude their latest breach.

Mally please be true. The Ajax manager would be a dream. Much better than Howe. Have a look at Howes transfer record at Bournemouth. He spent big. Players over 8m generally. He won't get that budget at Parkhead. Think there is definitely better than howe out there. People like ten cat who have won trophies on their own league.

I find it hard to believe Dermot Desmond would speak to Howe personally which I’m assuming he would to a prospective manager and conclude that he is the man for the Celtic job. His CV doesn’t merit consideration from an experience or achievement perspective and he couldn’t be culturally further removed and will only exacerbate the disconnect. Eddie Howe is not the man for Celtic.
