After watching Lenny interview after today's game he was asked about team selection for the cup final next week, disappointing it seems he's going back to the originals team.

Makes total sense. play dross, get dropped, team improves, cup final approaches and bring back dross hoping they'll rise to occasion. Sentiments and stubbornness are probably what got us in the mess.

Look I get from your posts your a big Lenny fan and we've won two games in a row but your going to have expand on that comment jfp. Good performances, and it has been, and performers, early days but they are, should be rewarded by not bringing back personnel that weren't delivering before based on what they did previously. If that was the case, and I'd argue with brown it is we'd end up with players running out of legs with no-one ready to replace them. It's taken poor performance after poor performance for changes to happen. So where's your issue with my comment? There's little room in football for sentiment. If the guys that he's talking about were performing they'd be no argument from me but there aren't and haven't for some time.

I don’t think he’s thinking that lads. The team today is the team that should play in the cup final. If you know that and I know that’s then I’m sure Neil knows that. Not at all jfp we are all in our safe place here😜 It was just hearing him as I did made me wonder if he was going down that route which makes no sense and it's something you'd see in village sports. Least we are now discussing positive direction of travel performance wise. It's a bit of an unknown as well the dynamic of the players which makes it harder to set up against.

Personally I thought we had more energy with paddy than Eddie in forward area's he opened the game up more with his movements.

In the first half Taylor put 2 really good crosses into the box and he was nowhere to be seen, we just can't afford that just now I'm afraid.
We need someone in there fighting for every ball.

I would take Eddy's ability to chip a goalkeeper, to feint to the left and shoot to the right, over Paddy's energy, desire, and ability to run through a brick wall, any day of the week .

Said it on here before the game and will say it again. Eddy's heart is not in it. He done nothing today to make me think otherwise.

Given his contract status I think if we get a bid above £20M in January he will be off.

A clean sheet and important 3 points. Ajer and Frimpong had a good shift down the right, Moi and Turnbull impressive particularly the latter with his deliveries. Duffy and Jullien had a solid game too and Hazard although a quiet afternoon looked a safe pair of hands. Plenty of positives to take into next Sunday. Only downfall is it wasn't more convincing on another day could've had another 5 with the threat from set pieces and stonewall penalty denied.

Delighted with the team selection today. It's been a long time coming.
Think we'll win easy today so much so I'm on -2 @ 2-1 and -3 goals @ 9/ 2.

Think I was a bit unlucky with bets today but that's gambling. Feel it could easily have been at least a 4 goal margin with a stone wall penalty not being given and quite a few misses which should have ended up in the net.
Glad for the team to keep a clean sheet and again the players brought in recently did more than enough to keep their place in the team for the next game.
Just heard Lennon's interview then and when asked about the team selection for the final he hinted that he could go with the players who got us there. If he reverts back to the usual team he must be looking to get sacked.

SS I agree the midfield is critical and Turnbull and Soro must start. But the worry for me is we have no width it’s all through the middle. Can’t afford any slip up
today. I never watch them but did today and they don’t look like dropping points anytime soon.
