Might be nothing in it but Sviatchenko boarding private jet to somewhere. Maybe a loan option to cover out defensive shortages.

1.) 31 Aug 2021 07:48:52
Right now I'd bite your hand off for erik.

2.) 31 Aug 2021 09:10:05
Think he's going to Dinamo Zagreb.

3.) 31 Aug 2021 16:25:01
Shows you how screwed we are even thinkingvabout taking Shev back. He was slower than evolution 4 years ago.

28 Jul 2021 10:49:05
That’s the boy Romano reporting we’ve open talks with Spurs about Hart. He’d surely be an improvement on what we have just now but would I be saying he’d be a good choice 18 months ago.

1.) 28 Jul 2021 10:59:31
We were linked last season and no one wanted him. He's played at the top level for both club and Country so for me it's a no brainer. He might have the odd mistake in him but so did Gordon yet I see a lot of posts saying we shouldn't have let him go.

2.) 28 Jul 2021 11:19:25
It’s a no brainer considering our current options and I don’t think we’d have to pay much if anything.

3.) 28 Jul 2021 11:31:10
Listen he would stroll it up here, sometimes a change works.

4.) 28 Jul 2021 11:31:58
Its a no brainer for me, we have to get him or similar. Experienced and a voice at the back. What worries me about Barkas is his acceptance of the goals. No reaction no voice no anger. Not good enough.

5.) 28 Jul 2021 11:45:32
Although Hart hasn’t played a league match since Boxing Day 2018,
He must be still half decent to be the number 2 keeper for Spurs last season.
Hart has played in plenty of European and cup games since his last league match.
Joe has loads of experience and he would be a major upgrade on our current keepers.

6.) 28 Jul 2021 11:54:41
Hart doesn't tend to save shots that come to his left hand side, surely we can do better than him.

7.) 28 Jul 2021 11:59:31
He kept 5 clean sheets in 10 games for spurs last season when big Hugo was injured.
The problem that we have is that he is on £50k a week which we wont/ can't pay but he could get that from any mid table teams down there.
If he is interested in the money we have no chance, if he is interested in winning things and playing in Europe again then we may have a chance.

8.) 28 Jul 2021 12:14:12
Keepers have longevity and can aye till there 40 look at sevcos.

9.) 28 Jul 2021 13:35:55
I think Hart will be more interested in playing reg.

10.) 28 Jul 2021 13:50:39
Not hugely excited on this one, but anything like that is an upgrade on what we currently have.

Would much rather see big forster back though.

11.) 28 Jul 2021 13:58:41
Far better than Barkas who is the Rafael Scheiidt of the goalkeeping world .

12.) 28 Jul 2021 14:40:40
He's an upgrade that's for sure but I wasn't keen when we were linked at the start of last season, he's certainly got a few blunders in him. but maybe the last few years being 2nd choice has gave him his hunger back.

13.) 28 Jul 2021 14:45:41
Hart is better than what we have IMO but surely we can do better than Hart? But we do definitely need a new goalkeeper for sure.

14.) 28 Jul 2021 15:04:35
He should have been signed this time last year, no question about it. I remember actually making a post on here last summer saying we should go for joe hart and most people laughed at it due to the fact he got released by Burnley.

I'm not saying this because of the way it has turned out for barkas so far but I genuinely believe we should have went for a British keeper instead last year when going for the 10 instead of spending the money on a foreign keeper who would most likely need time to settle never mind in the middle of a C.V.

Apparently Lennon was the one who decided against a move for hart but that decision has massively backfired, people can say what they want about hart and how his career has went downhill but the main point to remember is a footballer be it a goalkeeper or striker, the ability is never lost it's always there, a loss of form over a period doesn't make you a permanently bad keeper.

This is a guy who just needs somewhere settled and a bit of confidence back to get where he was before and I've no doubt Stevie woods can help him if we did make the move for him, he's 34 got bags of experience and knows the British game inside out and played at the very top and was arguably the best keeper in Britain for a few years.

With the way our squad is just now an experienced keeper and a leader is exactly what is needed because barkas and bain aren't going to offer that, of course it needs to work both ways and hart will need to see something to want to come here but if he's keen then this is a no brainer of a move.

15.) 28 Jul 2021 15:53:21
I can remember your views on hart last time mark, you were all for getting him in mate.

16.) 28 Jul 2021 16:38:16
Signing hart for me is a no brainier. Yes he’s got a mistake in him but this could be a chance for him to get himself to a club that’s screaming out for a No1, not a 2 or 3 and sitting around warming a bench. Barkas couldn’t lace harts boots that’s for sure, probably to scared to touch laces given he’s the same touching a baw. This will come down to harts ambition. If it’s down to his no doubt hefty wage he’ll stay south, but if at 34 he decides it’s not about money and more about game time, being a No1, winning trophies and playing some sort of European football then it’s there for him to do so.

17.) 28 Jul 2021 17:30:34
Hart will be a good signing. Right now, a Scarecrow with a wide brimmed hat would he a feckin step up.

18.) 28 Jul 2021 18:19:31
Hart is a shocking keeper. Ask the west ham or Burnley fans their opinion of him.

19.) 28 Jul 2021 22:27:00
This is set up to be a spectacular failure of a signing. What we need is a confident reliable keeper not somebody who has a howler in them and is well past their best.
Seriously underwhelmed I’d this is road we go down makes me even more gutted that we aren’t making Forster our priority signing!

20.) 28 Jul 2021 23:04:23
We should be trying to sign the guy Ward that plays for Wales.

21.) 29 Jul 2021 07:50:40
Spectacular failure signings are the norm at us. 4 out of every five, intil recently, have been utter duds. Happens when you have the worst recruitment team. and tight fisted, ditgering bosrd in world football. Last night makes it 10 out of the last 13 attemots in the CL failed all down to never being prepared. Im. more concerned our board of bell ends are staying, more than Hart coming. Barkas Bain or Hart? That isn't even a 5 milisecond consideration.

23 Jul 2021 20:33:06
Shane Duffy’s back in Glasgow! 👀.

1.) 23 Jul 2021 22:57:45
Hopefully he's realised he's forgot his phone charger and heads straight back to Brighton! 🤣.

2.) 24 Jul 2021 08:04:21
I highly doubt he’s coming back to Celtic. I don’t think he’d be accepted if he played for free!

3.) 24 Jul 2021 10:11:48
Wouldn't have Duffy if he was paying us £45k a week. An unmitigated disaster.

4.) 24 Jul 2021 10:56:42
big duffy is still one of us his time did not work out all at the club had a stinker last season i wish the big man well and always welcome back at celtic park to take in a game.

5.) 24 Jul 2021 11:21:21
Brighton are playing a friendly at Ibrox this afternoon fellas, don't panic lol.

6.) 24 Jul 2021 13:10:41
Hopefully he puts that wee rat Morelos into row Z.

7.) 24 Jul 2021 17:21:27
He’ll need to find him first, he’s gone awol apparently 🤪.

8.) 24 Jul 2021 17:27:34
Prob up to collect his bonus payment from sevco after his help last year.

27 Jan 2018 22:25:34
Is there any news regarding Griffiths Injury? . Any timescales involved.

1.) 28 Jan 2018 00:16:35
Likely to miss Zenit.

22 Aug 2017 21:17:49
Hearing fresh reports big jozo could be leaving. Anybody heard anything tonight?

1.) 22 Aug 2017 21:27:28
Hope not!

2.) 22 Aug 2017 21:57:49
Hope to god this isn't true he's by far our best centre half but i fear there might be something in this. Did DD no say before the qualifiers there would be a couple leaving but not till after the qualifiers?

3.) 22 Aug 2017 22:21:35
he can't play on plastic.

maybe not a bad thing (providing we buy a couple who can play on grass and plastic)

4.) 22 Aug 2017 22:52:11
Rodgers said in the press he won't be leaving. It's just because coetzee is coming in. Made up nonsense media wise.

5.) 22 Aug 2017 23:10:22
It was down to the pitch jozo and the 5 -0 lead he was left out. The last thing we need after watching that rubbish tonight is our best CB leaving. BR normally leaves him out when we are playing on those type of pitches if he can.

6.) 23 Aug 2017 10:38:02
Eric would seem to be the favourite to exit and although I liked him - he is as slow as Pat McLuskey in wet concrete.
I know the panic has set in after last nights loss of concentration and slackness - but in Boyata, Simunovic, Ajer and Coetzee we will soon find a great pairing.
Realistically we dominate Scottish football and qualify every season and the cash will take care of itself, while the team make steady progress, gaining priceless experience.

7.) 23 Aug 2017 11:09:45
Oscar161.what was rubbish about it. 8-4 on aggregate; thought it was a great game, open and attacking and we're through to CL proper. Perhaps you should start supporting another Team or take up another sport. you clearly are an unhappy individual.

8.) 23 Aug 2017 11:50:22
He's been tweeting about how great it is to be back in champions league.

9.) 23 Aug 2017 15:29:24
Jozo and dembele are cracking players but a bit fragile for my liking.

10.) 23 Aug 2017 15:31:03
im laughing at the media saying we struggled into the champions league when did 8-4 on aggregate become a struggle?

11.) 23 Aug 2017 15:58:22
One thing last night clearly showed me, is we cannot reject the half arsed preparation going into qualifying with so many gaps in personnel.

We need a full back. Hopefully Rivaldo and Simo will be a good pairing. Any combination that includes Shev and even Boyata is an accident waiting to happen.

We also need a better goalie.

Shoukd have hammered them last night but defensive balls ups put us on the ropes. We came off them and scored twice, but we shouldn't have had to and Rogers has gotten away with one here. He didn't prepare properly and that's the bottom line.
Whose fault is it he had to make all those makeshift changes? His.

He needs to get his finger out and better defenders in.

Having said all that, the Sevconians getting all exited and then hit in the face with a shovel after Olly scored made it even sweeter.

Get the players to do the job. They aren't in the academy, we know that if we are honest,

12.) 23 Aug 2017 22:25:21
By the way Loyola l a very happy person and l don't need you making comments about me. I am entitled to my opinion and will always CELTIC.

02 Oct 2021 23:21:53
I hope we stick together regardless of the result tomorrow. To Put things in perspective Ange hasn’t by a long way got The players he really wants. I know Ralston has been trying like a man possessed but he’s not good enough on the ball
For what Ange needs (he just an example) as there’s a few in the same bracket.

1.) 03 Oct 2021 00:55:58
I disagree, kyogo is clearly an Ange signing.

2.) 03 Oct 2021 01:07:05
Totally get that mate but if Ange doesn't have the required players to play that style of football then he needs to change the style.

3.) 03 Oct 2021 07:42:16
Thats been my point but some on here don't see it, people talking about 2 years to get it right, you don't get 2 years at celtic that's the facts.

4.) 03 Oct 2021 08:27:45
If ange continues to play turnbull and rogic together and leave 2 CB isolated as the only defenders then we will continue to ship goals. Like you said mally if people think ange is going to get 2 yrs to get this right it won't happen. Watch how many left the other night with 10 mins to go. Not saying he needs to change his ideas or plan but he needs to be realistic at times.

5.) 03 Oct 2021 10:10:52
Fans don't realise that if they win league again, its automatic qualification for champions league meaning they get at least £25m injection.

If points gap between us and them increases between now and January, good chance they will feel comfortable enough to sell Goldson and someone like Hagi etc to balance books.

They will then spend big in summer and potentially sign players even better in quality to replace goldson etc.

Time for some fans to wake up and realise, waiting till January for signings is not an option. We need a manager who can at least grind out results in league, realises 4-3-3 is ineffective and is savvy enough to use players available effectively.

Possibly 4-2-3-1 today with McGregor and Biton/ Shaw in DCM roles, Turnbull in CAM will make a difference.

Its not about adapting to how "Ange wants to play" its about Ange "adapting tactics to play effective against SPFL teams"

6.) 03 Oct 2021 10:34:44
What do you suggest? The rebuild was just far too big for any manager to do in one transfer window. If we had brought in the likes of Steve Clarke we would maybe grind out a few more results but the football would be terrible to watch. At least with ange he is trying to get us play the game properly. I believe when it all clicks we will go on a great unbeaten run have faith.

7.) 03 Oct 2021 10:59:37
What do I suggest? Simple change tactics to be able to beat likes of Livingston and Dundee United.

If clubs in league with far smaller budgets can get results against them, then we should of no excuses.

Rebuild was not as bad as people insinuate, its an illusion when playing against teams in league where we have quality at the standard where each of our second choice players would walk into any team outside us and sevco.

Its a competition where you need to win games to win prize. A win is a win no matter how its grinded out. Couldn't care less how hard it was to watch, as long as at the end of 90min 3 points are in the bag. Its Scottish football, we are not playing likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid etc.

Playing game properly? Play the game effectively against teams that pack midfield and defence is and always will be number 1 priority.

8.) 03 Oct 2021 11:03:36
@dnn so in that case every season we should go undefeated against all these teams and i mean every season.

9.) 03 Oct 2021 11:12:35
United Ireland we certainly shouldn't be dropping 11 points from first 7 games every season.

10.) 03 Oct 2021 11:28:32
United Ireland added to that, this is our worst start to a season since 1988/ 89 under Billy McNeil. We finished 3rd that season. See where this is going?

11.) 03 Oct 2021 11:50:24
Don't you don't care what u watch! It's a spectator sport HH.

12.) 03 Oct 2021 12:11:18
I care about 3 points rather than end to end, high scoring defeats!

13.) 03 Oct 2021 12:33:16
Starting the long travel up to Pittotride. Ange must start winning or the Celtic support will turn. We have the biggest budget being 6th in the league will never be excepted.
We're on the one road. c'mon the Hoops.

25 Sep 2021 23:36:11
We’re waiting patiently to turn the corner. A win tomorrow won’t confirm this…. maybe a performance will give hope ?.

1.) 26 Sep 2021 09:43:07
Think it's gong to be a 'wide corner' with the injury list and a month ahead with almost hand-picked difficult away matches.
We have got to beat United today and that put's pressure on a depleted - even makeshift - team that cannot afford to lose ground. Thankfully, we have won consistently at home and played some of our best football with the support behind us and we need to maintain that and persevere until see players return in the coming weeks?

2.) 26 Sep 2021 10:19:06
Agreed OAB2.
I see the up and coming league games more about getting 3 points, than playing attractive football, given the players available.
If we can keep winning and stay in touch until Kyogo etc get back then we'll be in with a shout.

12 Sep 2021 01:08:04
Probably being a sad man for thinking this but here we go……is it not worrying that the big Greek striker is not fit enough for the squad even! I mean if you’re looking for a move would you not be with your PT every day keeping on top of things?

1.) 12 Sep 2021 06:56:33
There’s a big difference between fit and match fit.

2.) 12 Sep 2021 08:03:06
I'd also throw in team fit as well. Let's give him the best chance of success through preparation. See thomas henry went to viecenza scoring and assisting in last game. Doubt we ever actually were interested there.

3.) 12 Sep 2021 08:59:20
But it shows how thin our squad is ajeti and that was it, no other forward to call on.

4.) 12 Sep 2021 12:54:46
SS10, there could be a number of reasons Giorgious wasn't made available for the squad yesterday but 'worried' - no.

There would be room for worry if he wasn't 100%, got on the park and then took a knock and it put him out for weeks.

If Ajeti keeps getting a goal or two until Kyogo is back then by that time we should have 3 fit strikers fighting for game time - that's what we want.

5.) 12 Sep 2021 15:07:43
Big ange said it on Friday that he’s had no pre season so isn’t ready . no drama!

28 Aug 2021 23:07:32
I think the game tomorrow will be a bit like Thursday……nervy as we’ll
Concede chances but I definitely think we’ll trouble them. I’m working and will be watching on IPTV hoping nobody comes into shop 🤣 C’Mon the Hoops.

1.) 29 Aug 2021 01:39:57
Put a closed sign on the door or put you must be fully vaccinated and accompanied by both grand parents lol.

14 Aug 2021 23:55:32

I’d say Lawell and his closest around him, after all it goes back a while that decisions were not made quickly enough when we all seen what was coming. Ed I’m not bothered about the result today, I said as much to my son who was really upset (he’s 11) . I’m just really frustrated as we could be in a much better position going into the qualifiers.

KP this is what I’m referring to, how many linked and not anyone in the door. TRTS so your trying to tell me we didn’t need another CB even if we kept Ajer as I still think we need another experienced one. Urhoghide not going to cut it just yet.

{Ed007's Note - Who's linking us to them though? If you listen to Ange's interview he explains what I've said for years - it's not about 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice, there's so many factors involved in a transfer that no club puts all their eggs in one basket, if Man City thought they didn't have a chance of signing Kane would that make Haaland their 2nd choice even though they've been negotiating for both players for at least a year and found out how much it would cost to sign Messi, so Messi would have been 3rd choice?
We've signed players that haven't been allowed to play for us yet, how do we know there isn't a RB just waiting on clearance to announce the deal.
People are blaming the board for things that they can't control, again Ange has mentioned how Covid restrictions have hindered the timing of signings and then there's players needing international clearance and a work permit to even enter the UK because of Brexit. Imagine Starfelt was allowed into the country when the deal was finalised, he'd have been eligible against FC Midtjylland, Bitton wouldn't have played and Abada would have stayed on - are people actually blaming Celtic for these kind of hold ups?
Has anyone asked Barkas how he felt to be 2nd choice behind Fraser Forster last summer? That's how preposterous that kind of stuff is.}

Completely agree, we’ve got Giakoumakis who’s been brought in for that I would say but we’ve just been unlucky with him. I’d say keep the faith as I think Ange is the man. All the pant wetters saying it was his fault tonight are nuts! He’s been in the door 10mins and they’re saying we’re fecked?
