Can anyone explain the difference in both flashpoints today? TV saying the St. M boy was in close proximity and couldn't move? Surely CM was the exact same?

Baffling for me, exact same scenario but maybe there's something in the rules.

Think there's a rule saying if there's a handball accidental or not that leads to a goal the goal doesn't stand. Something like that.

For the Gogic hand ball they have deemed his hand to be in a natural position and too close to the ball to actually avoid handling it. This is always open to interpretation.

For the Callum McGregor handball the ball hits his elbow and then drops to his feet and he shoots and scores. Although it’s completely natural and unavoidable the new handball rules are clear that an attacker can’t gain an advantage if it hits their hand and then they score. This one is a black and white rule. It counts as hand anywhere below the sleeve line

IMHO opinion both these decisions were correct today. Albeit there was certainly a few debatable fouls and non fouls outwith these two .

It is a hand ball if a player - Scores a goal directly from their hand or arm, even if accidental.

This is law 12 from IFAB - laws of the game. So the difference is we scored a goal from it. I didn't see the penalty incident, so can't comment on that just now.

I was not happy when don Robertson didn't play advantage when we were clean through. Instead he gave a yellow card and foul.

Brendan said the board is holding him back to manage the club I agree.

The Gogic one is debatable, I’ve seen that given, could go either way. The Calmac one is a clear handball, and he should’ve known immediately, control it, pass it, keep possession, was never going to count.

Gerry, I don’t think many players wouldn’t have turned round and hit that. The ball had fallen perfectly for him and there’s no way VAR is the first thing he’s thinking about. It’s a harsh handball but seems legitimate if going by the book.

Brendan bringing his disagreement about transfers into public knowledge is very wrong . If he had any confidence in his own ability he could win the argument in private with Board and they would have no option but to buy at least most of the players he wants .

You never see our Board publicly stating the Manager’s salary and how much he can earn in various bonuses for different successes .

Our Board is full of good ethical business people and they don’t ever want to embarrass any employee by publicising financial details and terms of employment. When we lose a game or 2 nobody from Board has a public go at manager, I am sure they expect the same respect . It’s the easiest thing in World for BR to say that the Board doesn’t match his ambition.

That’s not his to claim, that’s his view, but he would be biased . Board could say that they spent an unprecedented £30m + last year and his results didn’t match the ambitions that they showed . That’s the problem of publicising a private discussion.
