If Celtic win on Sunday lawwell will run down the stairs at Hampden to look for O'Neil, who will be in the shower.

I would love mckenns at Celtic as he has done a brilliant job with Ipswich. His style of football is exciting. But like any manager who is doing well and under contract problems will arise with trying to get him to leave there clubs . I don't know what sort of length of contract he has with Ipswich just now? . But if we do try and get him as manager then Ipswich are going to look for a large fee in compensation and I don't think we will be willing to pay millions just to get him released .
Time will tell what's going to happen at our club regarding any new manager but until then wee martin and sean need all the support from the fans and I hope they do .

5 million being quoted for the release of mckenna and his backroom staff? Doesn't seem much but will the board pay it?

Seemingly the Ipswich hierarchy aren't that happy with their start to the season. Might be some legs in us getting him.

Hiscteam is currently sitting 13th in the EFL, what makes him a great choice for us. I just don't get the fascination.
We should be chasing Knutson or someone of that calibre surely.

McKenna makes double the biggest earning manager in our league, that was Rodgers.

6m yearly wage.

I read McKenna gets paid £3M a year and that shouldn't be a problem because that's what Brendan received.
However his contract doesn't expire until the summer of 2028 and it could cost us a few million to get him.

Weejoe,
If I remember right Lawwell turned 60 years old one day after our Treble Treble success and he was going on holiday to celebrate.
That's probably why Lenny was rushed through because Lawwell never had the time to get another permanent Manager in the door.

I confess I don't know anything about McKenna apart from the team he is managing just now sit 12th in their league. And also he is Irish if it's because he is Irish and that's all why some people are bigging him up I would say we need to look bigger for Celtic rather than nationality or what team he supported when he was younger.
Or maybe some people think he really is a good manager that's different.

Took Ipswich from league one to premiership in 2 seasons, I'd say that is worthy of consideration. However currently on around £6m per year salary so unlikely we will pay that.
