While I am delighted with the 2 new goalies, Idah and Bernado, which of itself guarantees domestic dominance … we are no better prepared for CL than last time. If nothing else happens it would be a clear statement from the board that they are uninterested in the CL so why should I be? And I will not buy CL ticket package should that be the case. I hope that scenario doesn’t play out but the board, by leaving things so late, are playing a very risky game… no amount of excuses will be accepted by the fans, and will in my opinion lead to ugly scenes that will end in their demise!

I have no idea how credible the transfer rumours of players in and out of the club are, it’s all beginning to drive me nuts if I am honest. However if the Kyogo to City rumour has traction and they make a realistic offer I don’t think our Board will be difficult to deal with as I don’t think BR is entirely convinced by Kyogo… his lack of physicality and limitations in holding the ball up and linking the play need to be acknowledged along side his obvious strengths.

CL, Europa, and Conference IMO will in due course become equivalent of Prem, Div 1&2 in Europe and run all season alongside domestic leagues. Current domestic third competition (league cup) will be for teams who aren’t in European set up. Scottish cup may still be open to clubs involved in Europe, if timetable allows.

A bit harsh on wee Kyogo guys… I agree all the strikers mentioned above were great servants to the club but you need to consider different managers, tactics and style of play, which I think makes comparisons more difficult. For example I’m not sure Sutton would have had the same success with Ange or Brendan’s approach to the game… but hey, all brilliant strikers in their own way ?.

The improvement in Maeda (not to mention Kuhn, Scales, and Bernardo) is in no small part down to one of the best managers in business - BR!
He has a lot of qualities but making good players even better is his best one. And btw Ange had just about given up on wee Jamsie… look at him go now under BR ?.

Get Engels and a centre back over the line and I fancy BR will be content without being ecstatic and fully aware we will still have pots of cash for the Jan window should he need it ?.
