I remember us winning the treble treble at Hampden and having the feeling of euphoria taken away from me when they announced Lennon as the permanent manager. This was not the first or last time the board would show a lack of foresight.

The appointment 'in the showers' of NL in time for that car crash of a COVID season when he and the players sold the Ten, still brings back the nightmares.
Good god, I still shiver when I think back to some of those post match interviews as he tried to justify yet another shambolic, pitiful performance.
Never, ever, again should NL be near a role at Celtic Football Club.

Bobo he tried to modernise all offield football related aspesct of the club from dieticians to analysis etc etc ( had his hands tied on the football sides like most managers in our history ) . rogders even remarked on it when he took over.

I wouldn't have let it get to that situation.
If we are to believe Desmond, Rodgers had created a toxic atmosphere. If that was the case I would have been looking for a replacement. I would have had a list of managers who had a similar philosophy to Rodgers and one who played a system suited to our players. I would have been sounding them out to see if they were open for a move and once I had everything in place I would have sacked Rodgers and brought in the replacement. I would have done this before the window closed as it was clear the manager would not be getting backed and I would not have wanted to leave the club in limbo.
{Ed007's Note - Sadly it's the real world we live in but that's a nice wee idea considering I've just started playing FM26. Joe, football doesn't work like that, and Rodgers resigned, nobody could foresee that as he had promised the support he would be here until the nedo of the season.
Celtic can't illegally approach a manager to say would you fancy taking the job at day's notice if Rodgers chucks it?}

As for the diet nonsense you go on a strict low carb diet and see how you feel I've seen ex players in interviews mentioning the diet brilliant for weight loss but no energy for games

Ronny is one of the most under appreciated people in our club's history by fans everything he tried to do and did was supposed to move our club into the future don't forget he had a shoestring budget and signed ajer christie Armstrong gave mcgregor and Tierney there chances the nutrition training sports science the renovations of barrow field and a lot more don't disrespect the guy he may not be a great manager but he would be perfect as a dof and football operations manager for quite a few clubs there's a reason the city football group had him involved with them he did more for our club than a lot of other leeches have and he should be remembered for the trophies he won us and how he tried to take the club forward football was pish but the ideas behind the scenes were top notch and world class were we should be now but the board are to blame for how far we have fallen with a lack of spending to make sure they all get a hefty bonus and shareholders that are majority banks and investment companies that have no interest in how we play in the field just that we turn a profit performances like tonight are because of a lack of heart and people with a passion for our club and seeing us succeed where it matters to us the fans in the boardroom it won't ever end in our lifetimes whilst not just Desmond but all other shareholders that are just interested in profits are out the club and unless some big Saudi investors come in which is never going to happen because of the lack of interest in Scottish football we will just keep regressing and stagnate it's horrible to say but it's the truth.
