Once the team get used to WN's tactics and he brings in his own players, we will blow the rest of the league away.
In the first half we should have been 4 or 5 up if it wasn't for Maeda, Hatate and tounekti (sorry about the spelling)
They 3 shouldn't play another game for Celtic especially Hatate who gave the ball away every time he attempted a pass then just strolled about like a wee boy in the huff.

The first goal was also down to KT not getting in line fast enough and playing the guy onside.
I honestly think we will have a record spend in January as the board will give WN all the tools he needs to succeed.
I'm honestly excited for the future under our new manager as I really enjoyed a lot of what I saw in the first half.

The thing is, not everyone will give him time due to what is going on at the club.

Plus the longer it takes him to get up and running, the worse things will get. At the moment most people, if not all want him to succeed. However, that good will can quickly evaporate and could be gone entirely by January.

It was a high risk appointment, made all the more risky by the civil war between board and fans. If the board have miscalculated, hell mend them, as there is little good will towards them, despite it being Christmas. Things will snowball for them if results don't pick up quickly. Roma is a free pass, unless it is a skelping but the cup final will be pivotal.

I also think they have majorly miscalculated by starting a war with the fans, who are the lifeblood of our great club. However, I am sure their arrogance will stop them from changing their tactic and they will go all in. That same arrogance is going to be their downfall as more fans can see them for what they are now.

Was Engels that played them onside for 1st goal. 2nd goal from corner should have been free kick for offside.

Hearts rode their luck again but will run out of luck eventually.

Said that yesterday it's offside so corner shouldn't happen and how engles hits the keeper from 2 yards is beyond me.

Quite a claim that we will have a record spend. you may be correct that we will spend a few quid however the history of this board in recent years is one of selling to buy and usually ending up with a profit to add to the already bulging cash reserves.

We probably need a net spend of around 20 million in this window to sort the squad out.

I hope you are correct but doubt it will happen in this window.

We still have five domestic games before the transfer window (six if you count Sevco on Jan3) , so he has to start winning very soon.
The team seemed to adapt well to the new system quickly and it was sloppy passing and bad finishing that was our main failings.
A year ago Daizen Maeda was said to be like 2 players because of his pace in attack and ability to chase back and close down ALL DAY. His crossing was suspect and finishing ranged feom the ridiculous to the sublime. However, these days he cannot kick his own arse. The pace has disappeared and when he does chase back it invariably leads to conceding fouls, and his shooting?!
The new manag does have limited options due to lack of quality options and injuries, but he has to study the MON playbook and put players in their strongest positions and use what little strengths we have until changes can be made.

He has arrived during a very tetchy time for the support because of the tyrranical Board and if things deteriorate the worry is they will turn on him too. He needs to throw away the board game and concentrate on reality. or his comments about losing not being the end of the world will bite him.
