Following an incident inside Celtic Park against Falkirk last Wednesday the Green Brigade have been banned again.
They will be banned for our next 3 home games and that will also include away matches during that same period.
That means the GB will miss games against
Kilmarnock at Home
St. Mirren away
Feyenoord away
Hibs away
Dundee home
Hearts home
The ban will be lifted for the Roma game on December 11th.
It's looking more likely that Peter Lawwell will retire after the AGM.
He did tell the GB in 2016 that they were "Finished" after they refused his order not to wave Palestine flags inside Celtic Park.
Maybe it's Peter's Goodbye present to The Green Brigade.

It says someone assaulted match day staff and they covered for whoever done it. Assaulting folk is not acceptable anywhere. The individual needs banned from the stadium. Hundreds to suffer due to 1 individual and their mates assisting him.

It looks like the Steward is trying to make a name for himself.
Celtic Park wasn't exactly busy last Wednesday and the first half had already been played.
But yet he decided to go over and above his duties and start asking to see season tickets for the start of the second half.
I can understand him telling the Mr Bigshot where to go.
Maybe the steward did deserve a slap.
We don't know what they're classing as assault.
Did he punch him or just push him or was it verbal assault and he's away grassing on the wee guy?

I was behind the goals in the Lisbon Lions Stand with my Son.
It was strange because just before the second half started it looked like the GB were doing a demonstration walkout but then they about turned and went back to their seats.
It's the timing I don't like from the steward.
Why is a steward annoying our fans just before the start of the SECOND Half when there was plenty of room in the standing section?
The majority of our fans would've laughed at the steward and told him to P*ss Off.
{Ed007's Note - When I was in at the Motherwell game I noticed the checks for tickets getting in the NC were stricter than they were before, there were 3 physical checks before you got in and the last was at the bottom of the stairs going up.

The extra checks seem to be a deliberate effort to show authority in that section, it's clear though the gb are an issue, I said from start season the unrest with board would be used from them as an excuse to push their own agenda, these morons are a fantastic element of the home support, but that's where it should end, they think and act like there the only support that matters at times, ignore rules that get club sanctions and punishments and generally think they are above the law and rules of attending a football match, need to be honest, team need all the support they can get just now i'd have sanctioned them end of season .
obv we don't know what exactly has happened but if a Stewart (employee) is doing his job that he's been asked to do, then any assault is out of order and for the rest to act that way shows there contempt and entitlement.

Those "morons" and the BHOYS are the only reason there is an atmosphere at Celtic Park and if you had looked up the amount of fines the Club has had they aren't all in that section and countless clubs across Europe get fines every week over fan behaviour - it's nothing more than a money maker for UEFA.
I take it you'll be there front and centre on Sunday to start songs and chants or will you leave that to the BHOYS section?

Is it outwith the realms of possibility that this board could manufacture an episode just to try and get back at/ concoct an issue as a control element with the fan collective prior to the AGM?

@chasaboy - that is a distinct possibility as the last time they banned them the board said Glasgow council had threatened to close our grounds because of the green brigade violating health an safety regulations.
Shortly after the council issued a statement saying that was a fabrication as they had done no such thing.
The board also falsely accused the green brigade of an incident at Easter road even though they were banned at the time.
So until we are how evidence it would be wise to remain sceptical.

Wet my panties, quite defensive over the gb aren't you, I clearly said I seen them as a fantastic element of support (suppose you chose to skip that ) oh clearly said I don't know full story either, but you read moron so and filled your eyes so let's reply, they are undoubtedly the voice at games, and no your right I won't be taking up the mantle I'll leave that to the passionate young bucks of whoever, you on the other hand you seem happy to try and make an excuse for why a member of staff has been assaulted, your making light of how assaulted where they, your giving excuse of why was steward asking for ticket, and made no mention of the fact a bunch of other like minded morons decide when and when someone gets removed by police, each to there own I'll challenge you on your opinions, I personally think the club can do better supporting ultras to be ultras, coordinated safe piro and tifos cheaper tickets, etc etc but I think that certain ultra group have morons within that whoever is in charge and whatever rules are there, they will break them and if they disagree on something they will do what they want to do, for me if, said if, il say it again if someone's been assaulted for anything at work those responsible shouldn't step foot inside ever again, anyone who says otherwise should also assume I think there a moron.

I 100% give the GB credit for their charity work and the way they help create the atmosphere in the ground, they do amazing things, however that does not give you carte blanche to do what you want.
No one, whether at work or helping at an event, should be abused or assaulted.
That goes for the stewards and the police. I know some will disagree with the latter because we don't have a great relationship with the Police.
If it is untrue the club should hang their heads in shame and ALL the board should walk.
It is possible that there is a video, whether Police or otherwise and it is the interpretation of the footage is in dispute.
In any case, every disagreement between the board and the GB is fought in the media and this season it is intensifying.
Even if PL and some others on the board leave after the AGM I don't believe things will change.
As long as there remains very little communication between fans and the club, this is just going to continue.
I am a bit like Gerry, I just want this season to end, for the whole club to reset and move forward but as long as DD remains reticent to change and modernisation we are going to continue on this loop of slow decline, and the relationship between fans (not just GB) and the club is going to continue to diminish.

Let's be clear here, gb are life and soul of games,
But does that mean they do what' they want, I think there lots of facts perhaps unknown, and club definitely make that section hard and try to make an example of them, but on the other hand as our ultras and soul of support they represent us all and club at times, and that said there representation at times is negative,

Is that the flip side of the story? A steward above his station manhandled an innocent fan and the rest stepped in to save him? , earlier Ed you said I don't know what I was talking about, how close have you been to gb at games, I sit mikes away from them at home but at away games I've seen them, and their contempt for rules, or let's say authority, let's be clear as you've mentioned it on a few threads there atmosphere and commitment isn't questioned, but do you as a fan outwith the gb (assuming u are) think they should do what they like, I'm no daft,
There's a clear element of club making things difficult for them as well but again should a staff member, someone son dad daughter wife etc be subjected to assault, I think blindly

{Ed007's Note - I've been a few rows behind the actual GB in the NC on numerous occasions, there's pictures of me holding a banner up at the Motherwell game the other week.
I'm 51 and the stuff I got upto at Celtic games back in the day make the GB look like a Take That fan club.i think I'm too old to actually join the GB.
